I just got this cage myself a couple of days ago. I also ordered the same lightweight top handle. I also screwed on a 25mm Arca Swiss Plate to the left side so I can mount it on the tripod in portrait orientation. It fits perfectly and does not interfere with any of the doors and still allows the display to articulate fully. I mounted a peak design plate on the bottom for use with the Capture Clip. As an added bonus it has a QD connector at the bottom. It doesn’t interfere with the capture plate and allows me to use my QD sling as an added carry option. I like how it fits very closely with the body with very tight tolerances…fits like a glove. The setup still feels light even with the cage and top handle installed compared to a full frame setup. 👍
I pre-ordered the cage and got it a few days ago. Like you, I dropped the screw right away. I also have the handle. The camera makes a completely different impression.
I ordered this the same day I ordered this camera. I use the Ulanzi Falcam F38 tripod mounts on all my cameras and tripods. They just work perfectly! So I have the 6400, 6600, 6700 and the A7C. All have Small Rig cages because they work! Thanks for the video!
Great review! I also use this cage and top handle and completely agree with your review. The cage fits the 6700 like a glove. Doesn’t add bulk or weight to the camera. It’s nice to hold. If you use the hdmi cable lock it will block access to the headphone jack. But that’s more to due with the camera small size than the cage design.
You really should reverse mount the top handle if you're not using any v-mount batteries on the back, it'll feel much more balanced because of the lens weight.
From what i can find its pretty much the only option for the 6700 on the market... I'm hesitant to get it because of weird slanted cold shoe mount being the only one available whereas the one for the 6400 I had provided 2 and it was SO useful to have them far apart from each other for bigger accesories to fit there rather than crammed in on one side.

When in movie mode, go to menu, then down to the movie camera icon, then go to the right and scroll down to #10 Shooting Display, then over to Emphasized REC Display and turn it on.
Just got the A6700 and im from an A6600 and I found the grip a LOT worse on the A6700. I can only get 2 fingers on the 6700 but 3 fingers on the 6600 since the control wheel up front makes you move your grip down. I got just the base plate as I just do photography and it helps my grip SO much. Whats the weight of the full cage?

Yes supports locking hdmi cable but block the audio out. Lousy design
