I couldn’t be happier for all 3 of you-- yes --- Vera has arrived. Love the colors and condition, boat appears to be very well taken care of. The look on Johans face is priceless, a very happy man, father and husband. Congratulations. Within 6 months you two will have it all set up the way you want it and it will truly be your new home. No, it’s not a Nordhavn 78, but, when Kai finds out that you two are the new owners I’m sure he will be very, very happy. His face will truly light up. I liked RAN a lot but this is also a Gorgeous Ship !!
Except for that sweet aluminum hull, I never cared for the old RAN very much. This though, this is a great boat.
You only need the 343; is she ole enderlein his boats know exactly what to do out there, for layout I like the oyster 40sg, but the encapsulated keels a beauty,and naiads are so well fitted out, she should be quick enough to run from weather, insurance will be interesting. Great choice mum and dad

This reminds me of our search for a new boat about 20 years ago. We were looking for a Swan 42 and used all my Airmiles checking-out every one in Europe: Athens (x2), Trieste, Nice (x2), Palma (x3), Flensburg, Hamburg, and finally Stockholm. It was a very interesting winter... By then we knew exactly what to look for - and kept finding problems. After the Stockholm one, the local Nautor agent Ola Hallman, said “You’re planning to do a lot to get your 42 into shape, have you thought of a 43? That would have all those things done - but newer and more money. There’s a good one outside Helsinki”. We went to see it, and, yes, it was the one. We rushed the purchase (checking VAT was complicated) and managed to get the deal done before the summer season got going. Shifting all the boat gear from the UK to Helsinki was another story... But a month later we were sailing south into the Baltic - and 70,000nm together.
There cannot be a sweeter couple and now family on the ocean!

Wow! Congratulations. As I mentioned before we have a Najad 391 and we love her. You’ll be very pleased with a Najad I have no doubt. Hope to catch up with you somewhere around the world one day. We’re in the UK but off full time cruising in 2021. Congrats again, great choice :-)

Perfect choice for long distance cruising / live aboard. Having a gentle motion at sea and steady at anchor equals less fatigue . I’m sure the 3 of you will be very happy . The fact it was delivered next door to you is significant.

A very nice boat and with the moderate long keel, the right choice for your family. Not as fast as RAN, but she will be much more comfortable in heavy weather. :-)
The big Classic Boat was also cool, but would cost a lot and sail slow..

I have had surgery on each hand for carpel tunnel syndrome. Talk to your OB-GYN about taking Vitamin B-6. Only take it in the morning because it can keep you awake like drinking four cups of coffee but it will stop the pain in your hands and keep them from going numb at night. It will make a tremendous difference in your comfort overall. It is a vitamin you should only take 3 weeks out of every month so you don't take it for one week a month. I use it every day three weeks every month. I have never been pregnant so that is why I suggest you talk to your doctor but everyone I have told about it gets almost instant relief from the carpel tunnel syndrome after they take it for a few days. Be well and I wish you a complete healing and comfort soon.
I also had surgery for the carpal tunnel, but it did not solve the issue, but then my chiropractor set my upper back straight and it solved the problem. Being pregnant change some weight "distribution" on the body and spine.

Nicolas Broberg and the team at Najad will also be feeling very happy with the regular attention this iconic yacht maker will be receiving. I was quite sure you would be buying a Hallberg-Rassy or a Najad, ever since hearing you talk about them during a reunion trip to Sweden. Your videos are not fancy, which is good. And they are intimate, well photographed, relaxed, interesting and informative. They impart a sense that we are with you. Much more so than other sailing videos. I guess a better way to say it is that there is not a superfluous amount of cinematic action but a lot of engaging the viewer in your everyday decision making as you encounter everyday situations.
Found myself grinning at your joy as much as you were yourselves...... couldn't happen to a more deserving or nicer couple than you two, or three as it is now. Looking forward to your new adventures with much anticipation.

Though I was hoping for you to end up with a Hallberg-Rassy 42 or 45 (I’m a bit biased) I am very happy for you ending up with a Najad after all - built on the same island as both the HR and Malö. You will no doubt be very happy with the Najad - it will serve you well over the coming years. I’m looking forward to the tour of the boat.

I don't know where to start. The 60 footer looked like an old mans yacht from the outside. This one has class... Cutter rigged, perfect. Nice cruising keel, perfect... Skegged rudder, perfect. Folding prop, perfect. Heavy, even more perfect... Beautiful strong rig... Teak decks and no screw holes. Divine. Center cockpit. of course... Large vents. A few more solar panels, and dingy davits on the rear, she's a long term winner. Well done both of you. That's how you buy a boat. You hear it on the grape vine before the masses get a chance to steal it from you.... Molly doing the happy dance, I haven't seen her so happy. That bower thruster could power a city. Did you see how it tossed the bow over in the marina... Brilliant...

Johan and Malin congratulations on Ran II. My wife and I eagerly watched your video to see what Ran II would be. My wife told me that the look she saw on Johan at 17:22 is the same look she has seen on my face when we purchased a new sailboat; 5 times she said! We are looking forward to watching the adventures of Vera, Malin, and Johan on the new Ran II. We watched with great interest when you visited Coos Bay, Oregon when you were transiting from Canada to Mexico. We lived in Coos Bay during and then after I retired from the USCG for 35 years. We wished we were still there to have hosted you when you were there. Fair winds and following seas to the three of you.
