Moin Malin & Johan (and Little Vera). Truly appreciate following you around the globe from my base in CPH..Also truly love your Scandinavian casual attitude. You show life as is, incl. nursing ...oh so discreetly.... little Vera. No ‘us type of hangups’...life is life....life seems to be good to all e3 of you..all praise from CPH
Vera is naturally filled with exuberant joy and I see an empathetic understanding showing in her face, I believe she will be an exceptional human-being!! I love laid-back, interesting episodes like this....thank you both!!!
Manys thanks guys, we are from Perth Western Australia we are so glad you showed us Karlskrona as part of our family history between 1675 to 1890 is from there and Tjurko so thank you for sharing. Safe travels and look forward to seeing more as you travel through Sweden.
We( now I) have been following you for quite some time ! ( 2 yrs) I lost my Captain Last Aug. your adventures are perfect, I so look k forward to what I can learn from you. Vera is such a beautiful baby, really! She is beautiful! I wish I Could have had the opportunity to teach my children well! From that young. Now they will learn how to sail older! Thank you! You keep my dream sailing alive!
Hittade eran kanal i går! Har kollat på flera av dom andra seglar kanalerna och gillar att drömma mig bort! Så kul med ett svensk par som lever drömmen! Nu ska jag tillbaka till avsnitt 10! Så jag har mycket äventyr kvar att kolla på 😃
Lovely that you are staying close to family, and Vera has a chance to become familiar with her extended relatives. Hope Malin's brothers get a chance to sail with you before school starts again.
Vera has some REALLY strong lungs! Those drone views underway leaving a long smooth wake through the Baltic are spectacularly relaxing. This archipelago area looks much like the USA's rocky Maine coast towards the Bay of Fundy, with a colorful mix of really strong architectures and styles. But I think the tidal swing is much less on Sweden's east coast -- yes? Thanks for the dockside naval vessel tour. Fair Winds to RAN II, S/V "Windwalker"
When my daughters were very young and restless, when they would cry, I would keep a sprig of rosemary or basil near by. I would hold the sprig in front of their noses and they would stop fussing because they were curious as to what that strong smelling odor was. It worked every time. Vera is such a good baby, I doubt you would ever have to resort to such trickery!
Guys, yet again such a cool video, music and history lessons include. So good the see Vera growing with each episode! Travel safe, may the gods protect you.
Malin ... I love the way you & Johann are just so natural & easy going when describing life aboard the boat and the places you explore ... as a result, i am now so hooked on Swedish history, culture, cuisine and nuances of language I can't wait to visit Sverige once the Covid 19 crisis is assuaged ... Bart
You're welcome here! I recommend the upper Swedish west coast, stockholm archipelago and the high coast. All extremely beautiful sea places that differ from each alot but are all equally beautiful!
I am beginning to beleive that Vera is the perfect child. Does she ever throw a temper tantrum. She seems to always be happy. What a beautiful little young lady
Thanks for the laundry update; I was wondering about that. Cute as they are, little ones like Vera generate unbelievable amounts of (1) poop, and (2) laundry. I'm happy to remain blissfully ignorant re: #1, but I was genuinely curious re: #2.
You do seem to like the drone views of RAN II. I can see why. Such a beautiful boat. Mom visiting made me think of a time when I was young and had only been married for two months. Mother-in-law came to visit us for three weeks, which I didn't really mind since I liked her a lot. In fact, it has been 50 years now and I can say that she was the finest person I have ever known. However, when we took Mom back to the airport to return home we waited around for an hour and then picked up Aunt-in-law who stayed with us for two weeks. Aunty was nice too but by the time she left I was very happy for it to be just the two of us again so we could resume trying to figure out what it really meant to be married.
Im embarrassed to admit how little i knew about Sweden. I say “knew” because i have learned so much from watching your videos. You make me want ro visit Sweden. Actually you make me want to sail Sweden. I know, i’ll order a Hallberg Rassy 40, pick it up, sail around and then return to North America with it. After COVID that is ... there will be an “after COVID” at some point.
Wait a minute. 6.3 knots in 11 knots of wind, close hauled?? Seems awful fast. Is the bottom that clean or is that iron gennie running?? How about the calibration on that knot meter?? BTW, that Vera is getting cuter every week. As always, thanks for the great video. Ron
Vera wanted some ice cream too😊🥰🍦🍦🍧🍨 I was hoping you were going to be able to show us the underground bunker for all the people. It must have been quite impressive. Such great episodes. Keep safe and have a good weekend from your friend in Syracuse New York. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🤝🤝🤝🤝
I love all your videos, only wish they would last longer. Now waiting for next friday. I hope you film where the russian submarine hit ground outside Karlskrona. Fair winds!
I didn't know one of the Pirates of the Caribbean was a King Karl X1 of Sweden,,,,,/),,,,, When you put the spoon in the bucket I have a shiver as I thought you were going to taste the Brunsapa.
RAN Sailing then you should try Timezero. It has raster and vector charts. I really love Timezero. I use Timezero and another brand called NV charts. NV charts has an app to. Thanks for the vids. Keep safe!
Same thing in Norway with the washing. Almost impossible to find in Tromsø and many other places too. When you have a machine available you must take advantage of it.
Just got back from a vacation in upper Michigan. Went up to Lake Superior and the scenery was magnificent. Was glad to see your video posted and when I viewed it it put me right back in vacation mode. Thanks guys!
Well, 18-1/2 minutes of diversion is over. Awesome family, boat, lifestyle. Vera is a true scene-stealer, but the history of the minesweeper and the tour of the city were a close second. See you next week. :¬) Webhead USA
I really enjoyed your coverage of my home waters in BC and am enjoying this tour of Sweden every bit as much. What a great trip to familiarize yourself with a new boat and new baby. My favourite Viking clan! Interesting history with the Soviet sub as well. I love Vera’s smile while watching dad eat ice cream. Great times!
First: Vera has the cutest smile of all the RUclips-sailing kids! :) Second: I enjoy the Scandinavian politeness in explaining how things work in their countries. Good wind and thank God for grandma!
I've been watching your videos for a while now. I've wanted to learn to sail since I was a kid I think the inspiration came from a movie probably several. The videography and editing is vary good. I liked ran 1 but I gotta say I'm really liking the new boat a lot. Not that the old one was small but I felt like it was on the cusp of being a comfortable leaveabored (probably spelt that wrong) but this new boat seems a lot nicer as a liveabord and it's a cutter so that means you can sail in a broader range of weather conditions vs ran 1. If I remember correctly ran 1 was a sloop. Anyway I really like the videos and entertaining. I'm not from Sweden, I'm born and raised in America but I have a very rich skandinavain family history so that's also what draws me to your channel. Keep it up I hope you guys have more success with your sailing and videos. Also a question. I've read that a vertical bow is a drier boat and points better and handles weather better. Have this been your experience and was that a consideration when buying a new boat? Did this boat have more features you wanted vs others with a more vertical bow?
What a gorgeous, happy little baby girl. (At least when you are filming) You guys seems so relaxed and that's gotta be the secret to a contented child. Enjoying travelling with you.
Since you have a baby it's peace and quiet, the sea is calm, nothing brakes down or to be repaired. It looks like postcard for to be sailors Great piece. In Grenada we are waiting for the results of in coming Hurricane Gonzalo. Best regards. Capt. Jack
Thank you, excellent video. Little Vera is growing so fast, grandmother looks like she had fun with the little one. Sweden, and russian submarines. A long history and russia is aways probing swedish waters. The same thing off of our coasts (USA).Then again we are constantly patrolling theirs...
I started binging your adventure early September. Feels so surreal to see you back in Sweden and in my home town after all the adventures you have had :D ( in fact my office is in the background at 14:30 just behind the mast) Hope you enjoyed Karlskrona and come back one day !
Beautiful family, beautiful boat, beautiful country. What a life.
That is One happy Baby!

Vera the dancing machine😀😯👏👏👏
You two are the most squared away couple I have every seen & have a beautiful baby, May God Bless you in all you do and keep you safe in your travels.
I think your young sailor may be a singer too.
Vera is naturally filled with exuberant joy and I see an empathetic understanding showing in her face, I believe she will be an exceptional human-being!! I love laid-back, interesting episodes like this....thank you both!!!
The camera work and editing is so good......long time follower and I don't even own a boat.
Thanks for the kind feedback! :-) Cheers!

Nice to see "mom" again. And, yes, the yacht looks fabulous. :) :) :) 👍

Vera,...."Ok when are You going to share, you have more than enough for me too?" We enjoyed the video, thank you, and safe travels.
An amazing number of very nice marinas and ports! What a great cruising summer. Good for you!!
You two (three) make a great team. Boat and baby looked pampered!
Beautiful country. Beautiful family. Life is good!
Enjoying seeing the beautiful scenery from the coastal cities of Sweden. Another great episode. Thanks!
Thanks for sharing your experiences and seeing your lovely family. All the best to you.
Looks like she going to be teething, you're in for a treat. Enjoy (Love the vlog, as usual).
Thank you Ran 11 for 211.
Thanks for watching! :-)
that lovely smile from Vera when Johann was eating the ice cream was just divine, another lovely vlog, stay safe and well guys XxX
Thanks a lot Moz! 😊👍🏻
Our baby just started eating so she looks at you with curiosity when you eat in front her something she can’t have
I think she was thinking where is mine.
With a smile like that, I’d be putty in her hands. :)
Many smiles per episode!!
Lovely that you are staying close to family, and Vera has a chance to become familiar with her extended relatives. Hope Malin's brothers get a chance to sail with you before school starts again.
That smile in Veras' eyes is priceless! She is so cute! This was so peaceful. I really enjoyed it. Thank You!
@@geraldinepluyms5935 me too

Thanks for watching Dan!
Nice video. Thanks.
Thanks! Glad you liked it! :-)
Your country is very beautiful, and clean. The girls look like they’re having fun. Thanks for sharing. 😎
Thank you for the very nice Film! We also have been in karlskrona this year...and have been in the same place/Steg in the marina! 😃
Thanks for watching! Glad you liked it! :-)
Vera likes it when Johan laughs, Johan likes when Vera screams with happiness, cute:)
Definitely loves her papa's laugh.
Back in the 80:s we washed the teak with chlorine, the deck looked as it came straight from the shipyard 😇
Now that you've had additional sailing time, what's your impression of sailing RAN II? How does it compare to sailing RAN?
I would absolutely love owning a sailboat....some day. I love this lifestyle.
Guys, yet again such a cool video, music and history lessons include. So good the see Vera growing with each episode! Travel safe, may the gods protect you.
I look forward each week to your vedio while I am in lock down during the sweet and sour virus.😎🇺🇸😎

Yeah me too - and I've been to Sweden a bunch of times! 😂😂
Just got out of surgery and already watching your latest video love it
Oh that square rigged ship, from a time when the boats were made of wood and men were made of steel.
You should cross over to Ertholmene Christiansø in Denmark on your trip.
I am beginning to beleive that Vera is the perfect child. Does she ever throw a temper tantrum. She seems to always be happy. What a beautiful little young lady

Hej mor mor!
Skärhamn har 2 tvättmaskiner. Ingår i avgiften.
As always, lovely scenery! Great editing, Malin, and Johan, but the star is Vera ;-)
How much lead does your keel swing? I really like the new boat it’s beautiful. All that clear deck space is wonderful! 🙋♂️🖖👏😷🇳🇴🇬🇧=🇺🇸⛵️
6000 kg lead in the keel... 😊 Cheers!

It's a sun spot... I have had it checked. Nothing dangerous. :-)

I love the holder for Vera, is that something Johan designed? I just love that squeal of Vera's. I think she is going to be a "daddy's girl".
I would love to visit Sweden! Stop! You’re making me hungry for ice cream!! Ha! Now I have to stop the video and run to the fridge! 😀
You can buy brunsåpa at ICA.

It is really beautiful and I try to get my wife travel to south f Sweden now, we are from DK
HSwMS Belos at 6:10 for those who are interested. A submarine rescue ship in the Swedish Navy's 1st Submarine flotilla.
I was wondering if you actually use the Raymarine MFD? You always seem to use the tablet... 😊

Ran looks the best of all the yachts. She is a credit to you. I love how Vera has grown and she is so good. 🥰😎👱♂️Hi to mom she looks to be great. ❣️
Vera looks very beautiful, strong and happy. Congrats mommy and daddy.
Great videos. I noticed you have a Walder boom brake. Do you like it and how did you rig it? I have the same shorthand issues.
Vera's discovering her pipes and has to test them out. 😂👍🌅
Lugnt och stadigt, inget drama som andra seglingskanaler. Ser fram emot att se den båten ute på öppna havet, högsta kvalitet. Bättre än nya Najad.
Nice. Second comment. Keep it up. I really enjoy your videos. You're a lovely family. Vera is a beautiful and happy baby.
Wow looks an amazing area for sailing and exploring! Another great video. Vera looks like she wanted some of that ice cream!
Send your money to Africa and what is left over to the government in order to subsidize the future.
Swedish King Carl looks a little Jack Sparrow-esque.
So glad Mom could visit again. Love the baby bouncer...fun for her. Keep well and safe, Gloria 🐂
