We are a Swedish couple who have sailed the world since 2016 and shared the adventures on film. In 2019 our daughter was born and we bought a bigger boat to continue sailing as a family.

Wow what an amazing boat and for the price you paid! It has been kept in a like new condition and the systems are pristine and heavy duty, along with the new Volvo engine. Wonderful woodwork inside. We see why you bought it, it is a perfect boat for your needs without being too big and costly. Good job!
Cannot believe anyone could keep an engine room that clean, actually the whole boat is spotless . The previous owners must have been some very special people to take care of that boat so well. “Good things happen to good people” . Very happy for you .
I could believe you could keep it that clean for 180 hours, especially if it was a full gut&rebuild when the engine was replaced, all the insulation would be brand new.
Nice to find a boat so well maintained and appointed with the previous owners attention to detail. That gives you so much confidence.

Holy crow, did the previous owners wear cotton gloves whenever they were below, the condition-to-age ratio is off the charts. What a find!
What is your sail inventory and age/condition?
You will need, of course, to find some ABBA cassettes, I'm assuming that is your favorite band,😉

Hahaha good humour..the ABBA reference is funny as it relates to the cassette player. The original ABBA tapes might have been in 8-track format. I installed an 8-track player in the first car I owned as a 16 yr old. I thought I was pretty cool until cassettes were invented.
Best thing about cassette players is the tape to 3.5mm adaptors you can get for them. Can’t do that with a cd!

I can see, feel, and hear your happiness, pride and excitement about the choice of your new RAN II! And, now that you have a new boat/home and a little one to share it with, you both look very relaxed, and stress free. It looks like you have done well and got the boat of your dreams. Lots of comforts and very well taken care of by the previous owners. That will make your lives so much simpler in the future. I'm sure it will serve you all for many years to come with fair winds and following seas. Congratulations!

Wonderful beautiful boat!
You have a very old type of main electrical switches, they are really great! Mine are 45 years old and works perfectly. Don't switch (!) them to new!
That's a good point. I had a similar situation on my old boat. One which was 35 years old eventually failed. All I could find to replace it were cheap rubbish. Luckily I found one in a dusty old chandlers, my sense of balance was then restored.
Cleanest boat I've seen in 50 years of sailing. What a beauty!
And there is no competition for that layout. It's the best for your use by far!

An almost brand new engine is really a plus. And this engine room tells all: this boat was in good hands. My engine room is also as clean as this one. A clean engine room is something that I value.

With a Najad or a HR you can never go wrong. The finishing is always top quality and reselling value also. But the previous owners did a really good job maintaining everything as stock as possible, even the kitchen ware. It's impressive. Very good choice. It's nice to see you excited again. Happy sails!

You guys are fortunate to find such a great condition well maintained vessel and the size and volume that you need now with your new baby. Beautiful and comfortable looking boat and what you guys deserved to find in my opinion. You are both such a pleasure to watch and follow since day one. RAN II is a fabulous find! Absolutely gorgeous. I really like the brighter/warmer cherry tone with all of the natural light. And, @7:22 looks like Vera approves of her living conditions, with a killer cute smile. Congratulations Malin and Johan, definitely hit the lottery with this find!
I'm loving your obvious excitement when describing, and showing, RAN II. She will be a great home for you. Really looking forward to when you move onboard full-time and we see her sailing.

ja ja I agree that is a very nice boat, and a nice pretty much new engine in a decent spaced area to work on is a plus. The generator will probably become heaven sent when you need it ... und tschau tschau - па-па!

Incredibly well maintained and well designed boat. I like the traditional wood work and the ocean cruising design of the berthing in the main saloon. Temporary berths release space that can be enjoyed by a cruising couple instead of using empty cabins for junk storage.
I can hardly understand how to keep a boat in this unmarked condition for so many years. Congratulations on your beautiful boat!

Definitely looking forward to the upgrade videos. Fitting a water maker into that engine room will be interesting. I can also see you doing a complete rebuild of the galley to get that extra refrigerator installed. I totally love how genuine you both are and how much enthusiasm you both exude. Great boat inside and it has been impeccably maintained. A boat that clean and well kept will last you a very long time. Adding the water maker makes it really self sufficient. I think you hit a home run! Many more years of memories in the making.!

I loved this new boat tour. Have just decently started following you and whilst I am in the present day with you I have started to go backwards into your story.
