Awesome! This was a good decision. I've been very happy with my original X-maxx that I got when they came out and find it to be durable and VERY easy to work on. A small version that's easier to take places will be a great!

@@josh_rit8045 The stampede 4x4 is 3s max, so unless you put in your own power system thats 4s capable, this is their only current 4s offering.

The X-Maxx is _biggest,_ but biggest does not mean _best._ Remember all the electronics fires the X-Maxx suffered from when it was first released? There were no electronics capable of running the X-Maxx safely, and it still has issues with breaking parts just because it's so enormous and heavy.
@@deusexaethera every rc breaks parts, but the original x maxx is still one of the best traxxas cars, aside from the plastic driveshafts this thing should be very good.

Avery Kienbaum well that’s sad! We shouldn’t have to put another 300-400 dollars in a truck to make it even somewhat tougher! You would think they would learn from past mistakes. But I’m still looking forward to the truck. I’ve been a Traxxas fan since the early 90s.

@@EXTREMERC416 I beg to differ. I've had mine for almost 10 years. It's been a fantastic truck. Stampede VXL 2wd. (without TSM. TSM wasn't a thing back then. I drove the hard way. XD)
@@officialclownbusiness7788 Nah, Stampy is still iconic, plus, this is more of a rival to the Stampede 4×4 VXL, not the 2wd variants.
To those saying its only a "better stampede" -- the Stampede 4x4 vxl TSM is 5.6 lbs, while this is a hefty 9.7 lbs. That's a nice hunk of mass. Good stuff! **ERevo 2.0 is 11.2 lbs for reference. I'm very pumped about this. Will get it as soon as humanly possible.
Heavy isn't a good thing. Means more likelihood of breakage when it crashes, also poorer handling both in-air and on the ground.

$550? Y’all have lost your minds. For another $100 you can get a UDR. This thing needs to be at least $100 cheaper.
That's my next buy! Be rockin a XMaxx and a UDR at the track for my big guns!
For $550 you can buy pretty much whatever 1/8 monster truck you damn well please. Or hell, you can get a 1/5 gas buggy; Banggood's got the Rovan Bajas down to just 389.99!
I'm quite happy with my Mad Crusher GP and if I decide I want a 1/10 monster truck I'll probably just go rescue someone's long-forgotten AE MGT3.0 instead. Same $550 into an MGT3.0 would get me a better truck anyway.

Is it ok to put my ID rustler in the snow or will it damage it
It is waterproof so it'll be totally fine (totally fun). However if they use brine or salt on the roads near where you live make sure to rinse it off gently with cool clean water in the tub after you're done. Then dry it off as best as you can with a towel or hair dryer so your hardware doesn't rust. Learned that the hard way. Also when I say clean it with cool clean water, I don't mean like with a jet hose or something, just in the tub or shower will be fine. And don't worry about pouring water on it, everything is sealed or should be so you won't damage it. Just don't spray water at a high pressure directly into the motor holes or other areas. Just rinse it basically, you'll be good. I've been with the Traxxas brand now for almost 10 years, still have one of the original Traxxas Stampede VXL 2wds. Still working too.

We have 8 rcs in total, I have my xmaxx, a brushless summit that pulls my son in a wagon, a blue Telluride, a red bandit, my 8 year old has a red 4x4 stampede, my 4 year old has a 4x4 green Telluride, and a blue trx4 sport, my wife has a 2wd slash. It's an addiction that I love

Only thing that worries me are those plastic drive shafts...it's looks awesome but those 1/10 scales are notorious for breaking drive shafts on high voltage lipos. I guess only time will tell if they'll hold up to the X-max durability

Very nice. I'm happy with my Electric T-Maxx, but I know the E-Maxx guys have been complaining about wanting a new E-Maxx for years. I might consider getting one of these eventually, just to keep my Electric T-Maxx company. (if I can find shelf space for it, anyway.)
We wanted a proper solid axle MT
So, i got an E-Revo 2016 (old Erevo) and i have to do some Upgrades in the last 2 years but now i have no Problems with durability or Something else when i jump very high or land it bad...
But then there was an e revo 2.0 and i:"man, this thing is tough!"... And some time later a new rustler came out with more durability than the e revo 2.0 (i just now this from some vids there a guy jump with both over hugh ramps and the e revo broke after a lot of jump in comparison to the rustler which didn't broke.)
And now there's an x maxx in small!!
It looks a bit like an E-Maxx but i think when it comes from the xmaxx it should be much more tougher!
I'm excited to the vids about the durability of this truck!
Xmaxx is borderline indestructible but if the mini-me is anywhere near that I'll be happy with mine
I changed my mind, this is my favorite traxxas vehicle!

Seeing as this thing weighs almost the same as the E-Revo 2.0 at 5kg... With 4.04kg but only 1 battery?. How are the runtime gonna be?. I know 14v is better than 11.1v, but is it enough to actually make a difference?. Personally i only get about 20min runtime on E-Revo 2.0 with 2 x 5000mah 3s.
