I want that shirt. Well not that one but one like it. I have almost all of your shirts, The best fishing apparel I've ever owned. Please let me know it its the store and I missed it or you're gonna put it in the store. Another great video, thank you.
The yellow one? That is actually one of the first Salty Scales shirts ever made believe it or not. We appreciate your words and glad to have met your expectations.
@@GGBBigCloudzfor some people 300 is pocket change. I’m not one of those people but just sayin. I know diddly squat about baitcasters but I just got my first one. Went to the cheapest store I know (Walmart) and bought the most expensive thing they had to offer. Figured I was in a happy medium range for quality.
One day of having a bait caster I love it it’s took 5 casts to learn how to use it I watched the whole playlist and it helped me so much i defentiley recommend it if u can afford it i baught mine for 85 dollars at bass pro shops best place to get the bait caster they spool it for u when u buy the baitcaster for free it was super worth it and I love my bait caster.

Just subscribed ive been watching like 4 more of your videos and they have really helped me i just bought two rods and I opened one up and the line got tangled between the thing with the line wrapped around it can u please make a video on that because im sure it has happened to others aswell it took us 1 hour to untangle
I still cant get my lews classic speed spool to work. Practiced casting a light lure in my yard for 30 minutes. Just cant find the sweet spot no matter how many iterations of adjustments i do. I either get gnarly backlash or the thing doesnt cast at all. Frustrating. Going to back to spincast Thank you for the videos tho. It all least helped me understand the reel. Really solid explanations
Hey Josh.. Always love "how be to" videos.. I wondering if you were going to use a backing.. I was always taught to use a backing.. So what is the advantage or disadvantage of using a backing?? Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work.. Can't wait for your St. Croix set up since I'm a St. Croix fan.. Always look forward to seeing your videos.. Always your friend, fan, and subscriber..
Backing allows you to not have to replace as much line, and it also makes the spool lighter when you're using braid which can allow you to throw lighter lures easier.
I keep seeing you in those Maui Jim's. I'm so mad they only come in Male frames. Anything that pretty should be for the girls too. :) Thanks for the videos. I spent many summers "fishing"(not catching) around the St. Pete/Tampa bay area with my dad. I think you've shown me some of the things we were doing wrong all those years ago before RUclips or the internet.
I’ve always found light braid is a pain in the butt, I bird nest that line or catch a fish and never get it out or unclinch it 50lb power pro is all I’ll ever use
Great tutorial by the way. I would love that rod but, personally, it is still expensive for a minimum wage earner like me. $170 is half a month's wage here.
😯😯😯 If I heard the song right as you jumped into the pool naughty naughty, I like that reel might need to sweet talk the wife to get it for my rod I made
I'm trying to set up a baitcaster for the 1st time. I appreciate your attempt but we can't see your fingers or the knot. This was useless for my purposes 😕

Sorry, yes the yellow shirt.
@Jack-vv1jo shut up
I appreciate youtube so much. This $300 baitcaster was about to end up split in half across my knee. Lol
That is insane to buy something that’s “higher end” and not have done research ahead of time.. ijs
I agree @@GGBBigCloudz
@@GGBBigCloudzyou look up how to do something before you buy it?

Nice looking rod and reel combination. You truly help so many of us, so thank you for your videos!

Hi i m justin from India. Ur vdos are interesting. Keep going. ☺️
Thank you! Will do!
First one. Yeah buddy
Boom!
Good video as always Josh. How does lighter braid handle on baitcasters?
It's good as long as you don't bird-nest the snot out of it lol.
The Cadence cb5 has 20lbs of drag for about 40 bucks. I like it more than my much more expensive reels to be honest.
Good evening sir, may i know isit important to use a leader line?
late to the party on this one.. Did you use a leader for the Texas rig? or was that on the line you spooled?
I never used one before, tried a few in my local shop but it feels like the reels are always on the wrong side. Cast, switch hands everytime?
My bait cast reel shows a max I don’t have dials that have numbers. Should I keep mine at Max or a little before Max since I’m new to casting?

New to baitcasters. Do you tie lures directly to braid and not put a piece of fluro? Do fish not see the braid?
When flipping for bass we tie to the braid, I use a leader in most other scenarios
Nice video. Will that rig handle redfish?
Is the reel the origin o1 blackout ?
Hey where could I get them weights with the springs at @joshua Taylor
Did you add a leader or are you using straight braid?

I fish all over but primarily the Tampa Bay

You don’t need a backing to put braid on a baitcaster ?
