homemade vanilla pudding (aka custard) is actually very easy to make and tastes light years better than instant, makes by far the best banana pudding. def recommend a try. at least use the cook & serve type if you have to use a box pudding.

I have made this recipe using the heavy cream mixed with homemade pudding. It's good but not the same as the texture and taste with instant pudding mix.
every time i try to make the pudding...it never sets..? stay watery. i used 1.5 cups of cold water, sweetened condensed milk and jello instant vanilla pudding. its been 6 hours its still watery. send help

Hey BRUH! Shut up. Magnolia Bakery in New York is famous for this banana pudding and is adored by millions. So entire customer amounts they have that order/eat it aren't wrong. This is their exact recipe that's in their cookbook, they made it available to us which is awesome. So BRUH take your negativity, snark-i-ness where it's wanted or tolerated you comment troll!
