The catalan lady is right. As a Catalan man, i can confirm that living with your parents in your 30s makes it difficult to have a proper relationship. To get your own place will probably be the biggest bet in your life, due to the nature of spanish house and job markets. On a different note, loved that sweet african lady ❤
Im so proud of my fellow catalans not harassing women so much! We catalan woman love it, and if we like someone we'll take the lead. If you like a papi that will pay for dates, open the door and "tret you like a lady" you can look elswere. A proper catalan person will neither treat you like a man or a lady, but like a person. Have a date, and only afterwards decide if there's chemistry or not
Imo, ss a Catalan (from BCN) who experienced relationships in other countries, I would not recommend anybody who wants eventually settle down, to stay long term in this city. It has so many side effects to the relationship's life: alcohol, cheating, lack of commitment... list is endless. In the other hand if you find yourself over 30 and single, you better be rich to pay rent by yourself. Come here for holidays, to work, to have fun, but if you want to settle down, this isn't the place to be.
Catalan man are used to catalan woman, who can get very mad at you for doing what the foreign wants. They want to be seen as equal and could get really offended if you treat them as the woman in the video wanted (at least, when you're meeting them for the first or second time). Anyway, i preffer the 50-50 as i don't want to pay for a date with a girl that i dont know if ill ever see her again or if she only wants a free meal. Even more when they also earn money. We're not in 1950.........
I dated a woman from Kenya once. She chose the place of the meeting, an aquarium. Once we arrived, it cost 20 euros per person, I was gonna pay for my ticket but she told me she didnt bring any money... I had to pay for her ticket too. I should have left her there in the entrance. She wasnt even fun to talk to.
Probably or maybe, like in Scotland, where people like to be identified as 'Scottish' rather than 'British' and where labelling them 'English' can be considered an insult. So people in Barcelona may identify as 'Catalan' and not Spanish . And in Northern Ireland , are considered by, already their accent alone, as 'Irish' ..
I spot differences. Scotland is a country. Cataluña isn't. If you want to play that game you would have to call every other person in Spain for their region too (andalusian, galician, canarian, murcian, etc) Otherwise, your are just discriminating
@juanabelmc Hey, catalan guy here. Spain is a various country with a lot of cultures joined in a country, and every autonomous community has its own history and culture, which may affect how people behave socially. The biggest difference is that Spaniards from the south (Andalucia, Murcia, Madrid you could say, enter here) are more social and willing to meet new people than people from the North (Asturias, Galician, Basque or Catalan) who have a more closed group of friends and appear to be more difficult to intimate with. Obviously, I'm generalizing here; as a catalan, I consider myself pretty social and I like meeting new people, but I get where the stereotype comes from due to having tons of friends that fit this description. And referring to the point you made about calling people where they are from, we actually do it, we call ourselves Spaniards mostly when we travel around.
Catalán people have a different culture to Spanish people. It is the same country but calling the Catalan Spanish would be weird because they are definitely not the same
How is this feminism fault? And which things are you specifically referring to in the decline? The lack of commitment or that man saying some women were killed or violated, is that the fault of feminism too? Remember that hookup culture has nothing to do with feminism, if anything it's a meninist thing.

Thank you so much :). Will still take quite some time until I can do interviews in Madrid.
Summarizing: Catalan men don't give a f**k. 😂 As one of them I can testify we are not really into meeting new people.

lol just leave at that point. "i no bring wallet" lol
Is this true that you guys start to split the bills from the first date..?
I'm sorry but I don't see a lot of benefits in dating. At best it's boring and at worst it's toxic.
When they say Spanish or Catalan do they mean they are already an independent country and we are unaware of it?

Only handsome men succeed at dating in Barcelona
complete lack of accountability of these women, blaming men for the decline in dating. You have feminism to thank for that.
Yet no accountability for men either.

@@LilacSreya it’s not that difficult. Turn on your brain, kid.
In Barcelona we have standars and all women in this video have a low category. Dating culture here is OK but not for you baby
