I love these ladies! They are very honest. However, I wonder if I is an American Puerto Rican would be able to make friends in Italy because of the close Italian friend groups. Aloha from Hawaii.
What's your take on dating in Paris? Share your thoughts and let’s explore the world of French romance together!
After 25 years still don’t speak a little Dutch??
In Colombia also we have a place for taste drugs by the goverment :)
Racism is what Europe needs!
Move from Amsterdam I would say, living in the countryside is totally different, I never wanted to live in the big cities because of that
The problem is not the city itself but the dating apps. 50 percent are not even single. The other 50 percent are people with low self worth, mental health issues and insecure relationship patterns who don’t dare to look in the real world. These ppl dating amongst each other is a big mess… When using apps anxiety and depression even spike. They promote anti social behavior and change our perception. Dating apps are not there so you can find love but so they can make money! Leave the dating app bubble and start meeting people in the real world, not in high dopamine settings like partying but in a nice serious hobby surrounding. Everyone can find love but you need to look in the right place and take responsibility.
I'm not Dutch but have been here 50 years and they are right, the Dutch don't let you integrate fully when they hear a tiny accent.....or see you look different to them they hold you at arms length until they want something, but when you need help......forget it..
as a foreigner you have no right to criticise the country that is giving you your living
Paula...Spain is one of the largest countries in Europe!
The Dutch are very superficial, in relationships they are superficially non-committal. You can party the night away with them and they'll walk past you the next day as if they didn't know you.
These are the reasons for unplanned childlessness and declining birth rate. We dont see it now but it will impact our future alot.
No gracias, too damn cold, I prefer hot humid weather like the Dominican Republic !!!! An old fart.
Why do so many Italians dislike cultures that aren‘t Italian? And her statement „it‘s not a nice language at all“ 🤮 It‘s a very nice, warm, hearty language that makes you smile
The German culture is Arabic
folx, Berlin and Germany in general has really one of the best infrastructures for all kind of activities (for every kind of hobby, profession, from dancing to storm chasing, from bars to roleplaying, from bdsm to lbtg, from swinger to computer gamers of all kind, from gardeners, biking, runners, wanderer, singers, theaters (i mean the many you can simply participate in) , board gamers etc. etc.). everyone who is not an idiot can EASILY get involved into different circles - including masses of different international circles which are often combined with german ones. lets face it, most expats or expat likes have in reality often a quite limited life - only half looking into real options. i dont judge that but most dont really talk about the real options - only the international laziest/"easiest" way (tinder, bumble etc.). one can also use other social media (again about all kind of topics and interests)
If you want to meet the dutch, you need to learn pretty well the language and the life will be very much different guys, they will appreciate and you will be more confortable in the country, also if you learn it pretty well they also invite you in theur pary with dutch people and life will be more easy, not every dutch are so stricht with diary, actually some people found the diary an old school thing, yeah meetup, amigos and facebook events can help you, but also be an open mind and open person help you as well, be active is what dutch love about people, like be part of volunteer group or go to for example a football group can also help you, but not rush it, friendship is like a plant you need to take care of it othervise will die :) The guy who recommend to talk to stranger is right, I don't have a problem to talk to stranger, and of course depends on occasion, many of my friend i found outside, and there are the best of the best
Great advice :)
hookup culture is just ew
Are there still Dutch living in Amsterdam🤔. For sure no "echte Amsterdammer" still lives in Amsterdam. But actually the Netherlands is not Dutch anymore and expats determine how the Dutch are and how they have to act.
I loved the lady struggling with Dutch. And I hate the comments about her problems with Dutch. This people obviously missed that she’s doing all she can. I suppose she doesn’t have the money to use something online, or a private teacher.
What these ladies say is absolutely true when I compare it to my own 36 years of experience in the Netherlands. While I speak Dutch fluently, as confirmed by native speakers, adapting has still been extremely difficult. It may appear to be better than other countries on the surface, but in reality, living here is truly challenging.
I have the same experience after 38 years. I always refused to speak English, which has become an apartheid language. Moved to Israel last year where the people are warm and real.
Same in Italy. Cheating is normal
I am Dutch and I complety agree with the ladies . Dutch people are not so warm and friend/ family minded at all.😢
It is, more or less, the same in any country, all over the world !!! First-generation immigrants, whether they are good or bad at new languages, alway have a foreign accent. With that accent, one is automatically considered less or a second-class citizen. It comes with theritory. It it is a fact !!!! Unless you immigrate to a new adopted country with an awfully lot of money or you are one of the kind specialists in technical feeld, you are bound to struggle to integrate in the society. I have been there. I have done it.
Hes right, ofc there is soooo much people that dont match these stereotypes, but if youre not countnig intelectuals and leftist teens, its reality.
2:21 also in Amsterdam
🫣 They never wanted to commit to her in the first place.. Delusional.. 😂 Who will tell her? 🤣
Check out the full video. It seems to be a common theme.
Eww
As a person who grew up in Germany and now lives in Norway I think I am more Dutch than Italian after this video😂 I do many things they accuse the Dutch of🙈😅
You would love Kyiv too then, especially Closer and some other (I would not tell the names, but one of them is my number 1 ever). And festivals like Stricka, Brave … Kharkiv’s Kultura Zvuku was so good, but sadly they’re no more in Kharkiv. The music isn’t just hard, but interesting. Help Ukraine win and you will see one of the best electronic scene in Europe developing
As a Dutch woman I recognize a lot in the stories of these ladies. Unfortunately, that's why I'm fond of the Italian culture, I like a lot. The separation at a wedding has a lot to do with money, you cannot invite everybody to the wedding dinner, so that complaint I don't understand.
nederland suk'' s
German are not stupid they will get really involved if it's really really worth for them. And will all know, Germans has the highest standards you can find anywhere in the world. So it's not that it is hard to find a match. But it's almost impossible to find the perfect match...
Hear what you’re saying , but Amsterdam is not really comparable with the rest of NL. I live in the south between : Rotterdam,Breda,Antwerp and we appreciate other cultures more.
I met my now husband at the nastiest afterhour club. We’re both Berliner. We didn’t have any friends in common. Just met randomly! (For the women/people that always wait for the other side to approach ) I actually approached him! We married 5 years ago. It is possible
After have lived in Holland for many years i can conclude that the Dutch in general are bemoeizuchtig en pietlutig. Other than that they are quite friendly.
Imo, ss a Catalan (from BCN) who experienced relationships in other countries, I would not recommend anybody who wants eventually settle down, to stay long term in this city. It has so many side effects to the relationship's life: alcohol, cheating, lack of commitment... list is endless. In the other hand if you find yourself over 30 and single, you better be rich to pay rent by yourself. Come here for holidays, to work, to have fun, but if you want to settle down, this isn't the place to be.
I'm dutch and i agree with them, i can't stand being in this country longer. After I finish my studies I will emigrate and never come back. I cant stand the Dutch mentality and its making me very depressed. I dont agree with one thing, the language. In my town used to live 99% dutch people when i was born in 2001, now it's around 10% Dutch and nobody speaks Dutch anymore while its the official Language. Out of principal i refuse to speak English in my own country, and they always get angry that I speak to them in dutch and they start yelling like are you a fucking idiot why do you speak to me in Dutch I don't speak it, I always answer go back to where you belong, dutch is the official language so speak it or leave. 95% of these immigrants dont even want to learn Dutch, cause i keep speaking Dutch to them and they answer me in english, so i ignore them if they dont speak Dutch and refuse to help them in the store i work. On average we have 250-300 customers in a day and maybe 20 customers speak Dutch
I'm Dutch and understand what you're saying, but not everyone is like that. I call my mother almost every day and I also have a lot of contact with my children. People continue to eat here on birthdays or when they visit .I'm more of a family person than a friendship person. I have friends, but since I got sick I haven't had much contact. It opens your eyes. Happy with my family. That bit of fuss who is paying is not from my era, with us it's just a bit of back and forth hassle. No tikkie🤣then I pay then you and it doesn't have to be evenly. I like to give when I can
The culture is different everywhere but hey you don’t like it you go where you do like it.
I love the Mexican guy. Especially when it comes to drugs and clubbing. Back in the day, (90s) ) everything was actually a bit more "relaxed". But that guy is to to the point and I couldn't describe it better. And I've been a pioneer of the scene since 1991.
As Muslims, we know that fornication is just the worst thing for society and Individual. Only if 2 people have good intentions, marry (for the sake of God) and keep away from sins and wordly desires as much as possible they will stay together as long as they are comparable
One of my sons moved to Berlin from Spain and started working at Wilde Renate and taking all these drugs like ecstasy, speed, ketamina... Here in Spain he only used to smoke marijuana 😥
How boring to be in a club where the males dont make a move... Flirting would be my main thing when going to a Club
Not all Dutch are the same I hope. First I am not really satisfied with a broodje kaas. That is not a meal. That makes you want to eat again an hour after lunch. I prefer two hot meals a day. And my breakfast too! I don't have much family left. So I cannot visit often. I have two friends who don't live nearby, so it comes in handy to make an appointment before visit them. I don't want to come by and find out their not at home. I agree with you the Dutch language is terrible. You seem like nice Ladies. I don't know why you don't have much friends.
pretty varied responses…
Indeed
I'm so surprised how bad the first two respondents are. Very not representative Housing maybe, but language - come on. Google translate exists
Those were very cute interviews!!
Berlin ❤❤❤❤ it’s a dream of mine to go clubbing in Berghain
Berlin ❤❤❤❤
What is keeping you to go back to Italië?
