The gentleman from Bangalore gives a pretty good perspective when it comes to housing and earning a decent salary in Barcelona.

This place is guiris' paradise and locals' hell, unless you own your apartment of course.
Cost of living is still good once the renting is sorted out.

I must disagree with what the young lady says in 17:55 regarding overtime. I work with a Spanish contract in Spain and my company obliges me (due to the quite recently introduced law) to track my working hours and no extra hours are allowed (and also not encouraged). It's either just my company that's very strict (and employee-"friendly") or not every company has implemented this yet.

The real state agent is legit telling what it is. Is not about being leftist or conservative, the issue is the mentality.
Black economy, low balling your employees, conformity, innefficiency... these are very common. Top to buttom. Everybody wants the american dream but the economic foundations are predicated on low added value services and fast money.

The girl at 3:30 is talking about maybe the top 10 -5 percent of the population. Most is like 30k/yr which is poverty in USA. Some people even make that on unemployment from the government.
