Disguising his horns as goggles! Ellie is effing brilliant, I've seen this movie like 20 times and I never thought of that!
I remember when this movie first came out and I saw the promo posters around. I had never seen Hellboy in comics or any other media up close so I thought they were goggles as well!

Prof. Bloom was played by the same actor (John Hurt) who was Olivander the wands merchant in the Harry Potter series.
The one who opened the portal and was later resurrected is Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin
I am glad the studio pick Ron Perlman play as HellBoy.
To me, no one can play Hellboy better than Ron Perlman

In the famous science program Mythbusters, the team attempted to reproduce the effect of Hellboy punching on a car's hood to flip it, or at least make it stop. You might like to see that show to know if they succeeded.
Ron Perlman (Hellboy) has *almost* as many heavy-makeup credits as Doug Jones (Abe Sapien). Ron played for several years under makeup in the TV show, "Beauty and the Beast" (1987 - 1990. NO relation to the Disney film!!), he also played a goat-man, the "Sayer of the Law" character, in the 1996 film "The Island of Dr. Moreau," among many other wonderful roles through his career. He was 54 years old when filming the first Hellboy movie!
Doug Jones (Abe) was "Billy" in Hocus Pocus, he was in Pan's Labyrinth, The Shape of Water, Star Trek Discovery, and a long long list.
Nice to see you ladies watching this classic del Toro film!!!! This film and the sequel "Hellboy II: The Golden Army" (2008) are worth seeing!😉 The reboot is not very memorable.

With that being said, Hellboy II is one of the quite a few times, where a sequel surpasses the original.
Several hundred thousand Russians collaborated with the Germans during WW2. However this was a small number compared to those who fought against them.
There were also ethnic Waffen SS units of Ukrainians, Belorussians, Russians, Cossacks, Bulgars, etc.
Ron Perlman is Hellboy and the later attempt at rebooting the character failed because the later version lacked Ron Perlman classical style which was not to be recreated. Good reaction as always ladies as you are both classy and energetic in your reactions.
This movie and its sequel are both gems
I'm surprised they didn't pick up on the Rasputin thing, and were convinced the bald guy was Satan. Not Satan. Rasputin. THE Rasputin.

Ron Perlman did a great job playing Hellboy, David Harbour did good too but Ron has him beat especially with the voice
I've never heard of Hellboy until i saw the previews of this movie. It intrigued me enough to see it in theaters and i truly enjoyed it. Ron Perlman is perfect for the role.

This is one of the most re-watchable movies for me, the stunning visuals, perfect performances by the cast, and the interesting design of Kroenen, this is one of my top comfort movies

I've watched this movie many times through the past 20 years, I would love to see a first/third person shooter video game based off the Hellboy series. It would be fantastic to hear the original cast voice act the characters. Or atleast as many as possible.
Guillermo del Toro who directed Pan’s Labyrinth and Pacific Rim also made this movie. He shows an incredible art style to his films.

2:03: I never imagined that Bulgarians watched the old British comedy "Allo Allo" repeated on their tv - but obviously they do! And it's rather cute to to think Ellie appreciates the "Helga" vibe which Bridget Hodson definitely provides in her female Nazi role (Ilsa) in the film.

the recent remake of hellboy was really bad if you compare with this version... but the nightmare scene on that movie with the fire sword was amazing, his true form is the incarnation of devil, of that supossed to be
