Some favourite memories of this game was coach John Kennedys proud reaction after the game plus some highlights of John holt kicking some long distance critical goals with that raking left foot
I am a 50 year old lifelong North man and this is and will always be the greatest win I have ever seen even including the flags. We played the Blues at the same ground the year before and lost by 137 pts !! What a day this was, the last quarter still thrilling. Had to enjoy this though - we didn't beat the Blues for another 5 years and 8 games !!

Tremendous set of high-quality videos,
Raleigh98. Keep them coming please.
Phil Krakour, never a poor or wasted possession!
Some great stars in that North side
The sound of Lou Richards' voice on a Saturday arvo is such a fond childhood memory of mine...
New sub 😎
You have some great vids ! Any chance you have the 1975 qualifying final North v Carlton ?
Nah I wish, many of these finals are probably lost to time. We just have to hope it will crop up some day.
Apart from the GF, I have never seen footage of any other final from that year. Ditto 1974
@@RCT1963 It's funny because there are a few around from the late '60's early '70's of second semi's, prelims. Sad really.

Today's players are supremely skillful but how great was the contested footy all over the ground? You just don't see that anymore.
