Fun Fact: Essence is a german brand aimed towards teens, that's why the products aren't superpigmented. :) The company has a line for adults calles 'Catrice' which is wonderfull :D BTW, Essence has really awesome 'cream to powder'-products.

I find that cvs / Walgreens makeup costs a little more than walmart or target but I can't find milani at walmart 😭😭 they used to he at walmart but idk what happened.. I'm holding off on going to cvs / walgreens ....

Sophie Phillips Xx It isn't clear. They don't test on animals but their providers may do. I've done some research on cruelty free make up blogs and essence didn't give a clear answer :( such a shame, won't be buying from them again.

I like Essence but I much prefer their sister company Catrice. They're both made by the same company but Catrice is slightly more expensive but much higher quality, at least in my opinion! You should do a buy or bye on them too :)

I could be wrong, but I don't think anywhere in Canada has those products yet! :( I live near Rachel and work in a drugstore and I know we don't see the product launches for at least a month or so after the US gets them typically.
Tati on RUclips has done a 'Faves and hate its' on that range which is essentially the same thing and she's very reliable and detailed so would recommend her vid! Xx

Loveeee Essence! Here in Holland it is super popular, being the cheapest drugstore make up brand. I think that over the years I have tried every single product haha. I also really like the lipsticks and XXXL matt lip'glosses'. And I've been using the waterproof eyeliner for quite some time now, and I love it! I've never tried swimming with it, but I have very watery (watery/wet?) eyes and on a normal day it stays on perfectly :)
+heyy hoi the matt ones don't stay at all if you eat or drink nope. after u do half gone in the middle.
+Sabrina Awdi True, they're not as longlasting as other matt liquid lipsticks, but I still prefer the Essence once because they feel very comfortable on the lips. Most matt (liquid) lipsticks make your lips feel very dry and I really don't like that.

You north americans seem to have the older collection of Essence. Here in the Netherlands (and their homeland Germany) we're a little ahead. The six color eyeshadow palettes are already replaced with eight pan ones. The new ones are AMAZING. My personal faves are the translucent mattefying powder (all about matte), the waterproof eyeliner pencil with a felt tip, the BB lip balm/gloss, the Forbidden Volume mascara and the nail products!

+Ling I've got both of them ! the essence one feels softer and is slightly warmer and darker. the shade is really similar to macs soft and gentle but on the skin it looks much more beautiful. like a satin sheen (kinda like the matte radiance one )
You should try the Essence Make Me Brows. It's a dupe for Benefit Gimme Brow. It's really good!

The all about sunrise pallets by essence is amazing!! Super pigmented and there is a beautiful highlight shade in it. I would give that one a try.

Those are my fav mascara a too! Extra amazing combo is using both: the thick tube then the thin tube for extra curl. I also love that they don't make my sensitive eyes burn!!

Hi Rachel👋 ,so I live in Switzerland here essence is like the biggest drugstore makeup brand.I have tried many of these products and can totally agree with you on everything!If you're looking for that same buttery feeling and high pigmentation in the shadows,then try „all about bronze eyeshadow" it is also an essence pallette and it is amazing! It used to have 6 shades like the nude pallette but it was updated about 6 months ago,it seems that in America you guys don't have the updated versions yet so it might still have 6 shades. I love your videos and you're such an inspiration to me!❤
lip liners, lip sticks, and blushes are all must haves from essence. you should definitely try them out! oh and the brow gel!!!

you should do all the drugstore brand at least 1 mascara, 1 lip product, 1 foundation / BB or cc cream, blush , eyeliner, eyeshadow, and eyebrows oh and brokers and highlighter and you should start with physician formula. I'm starting to like upset but in scars to by certain things because they are a bit more on the pricier side
The Make Me Brow, the mattifying powder, and the matte bronzer are all really awesome Essence products, and the prices can't be beat!

With the essense eyeshadow it only is sparkly on top when you buy it then when you scrape the surface or use it it's like matte..

I'm surprised essence is so loved amongst non-European makeup fans. Here in Germany (since the brand is from here) it's considered the absolute worst brand to invest your money in; nobody around me likes it and most of us only really buy the nail polishes. I'll say though their lipsticks aren't that bad!
