How shallow where you? I'm just learning inshore and my boat drafts 13" not including the engine so I have a hard time getting in that less than 2' water. Or maybe it's just nerves
My boat drafts about 11-12 inches, and I can get into about 1.5 feet if my motor is trimmed up. Any less than that and I start to get nervous. Probably about the same for you. Just take it slow until you're more comfortable.
