Seen as you like testing out new lures, I have been really happy with the rapala crush city Mayor 3”. Using Berkly Fusion 19 jig heads. These lures are now part of my usual set for redfish, snook and trout. Still a bit expensive for ladyfish and mackerel so I’m using DOA cals for that. I plan on trying some glass minnow soft plastics from AllAboutTheBait AKA Key West Kayak Fishing.
I bumped into Cameron at Weedon last Saturday and he mentioned you guys were on the spoils. Y'all were in my back yard. Both Sutherland Bayou and St. Joseph Sound have been on fire for Trout this year. It's always a good Trout habitat, but we hit fourteen over 18" and four over 20" in short order recently. Good eats.
So far it’s been great winter for trout around here! I haven’t been able to find any over 24”, but a ton of fish between 18”-22” which is always a blast on lighter gear
I do not unfortunately, but I've posted a bunch of informational videos in the past on how to catch different fish in this area if you'd like to check those out
A lot of the spoil islands in the intercostal between clearwater and palm harbor have campsites on them that are free, but first come first serve. Not sure of any islands inside the bay to camp on
It's my custom color of the 2.0 paddletail by Salt Strong called the "Wedding Crasher", here's a link if you want check them out: bit.ly/WeddingCrasherLure

Awesome. I’m going out Friday morning but the other side. Great spot. Hope they are still munching. Another great video.
Thanks dude! Hope you crush them out there
we need another day like this!
Let’s make it happen! New island this time and you actually need to camp with us
Awesome video, would love to see a series where you guys hit the different islands and camp out and fish!
That's the goal! Hopefully do it a couple more times before it gets too hot
Cant wait to watch!
@@SeeYaDude
Stay away from the island directly south if you want to avoid the sea rats also.
Liked the video and like the concept behind it!
Thanks! Hoping to do more of these in the near future
Those drone shots are aces
Thonny is a beast with that thing
Love Horseshoe, we're trying to get over there in the next few weeks before it gets hot..
The trout and redfish bite has been real good around there recently!
Favorite kind of video!
They’re my favorite videos to film too
Id love to have that in a freshwater maybe 1 1/2. Might be a good crappie killer.
Can’t wait to try out the new lure Congrats!
Thanks dude! Let me know what you think once you get to use them
Yes definitely the day I get them I’ll head out and let you know.
Just missing some lettuce, tomato, onions little bit of tartar sauce That be one hell of a fish sandwich . Mmm mmm
And some actually sandwich buns, not just hotdog buns 😂 gonna be more prepared next time for some gourmet island cooking
@@SeeYaDude right 😂. Oh and nice cold beer with it especially if staying on the island. 💪🏼🔥
Here ya go
Dude, Nice cinematography! With the weather we've been having, do you like to fish the windward or leeward side of the mangrove islands?
Thank you! I’ve been finding most of the fish on the leeward side of the islands
Great video! How are you retrieving the jig head?
I was slowly bouncing it off the bottom through the grass
AMAZING❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊
RIP to the trout 😂
RIP
Very nice! I’m local to the area and new to fishing. Do you do fishing workshops or charters for newbies?
I do not unfortunately, but I've posted a bunch of informational videos in the past on how to catch different fish in this area if you'd like to check those out
I would recommend starting with shrimp or paddle tails. Try to find some productive spots. Where you are fishing is the most important thing
Check out SaltStrong for instructional fishing materials.
Islands to camp in Tampa?

Great video but what island is it?
