when you catch those small redfish and black drum why not just reel them up over the rail? theres no need for the landing net unless the fish is over 3 lbs or so

Start using your pin fish hole on a hook. Hook them right under their dorsal fin. You can catch big gator/ sea trout, reds, black drum, Spanish Maks… pin fish along with other bait fish eat the game fish’s eggs so the game fish are highly aggressive towards those bait fish.
You know it's going to be a banger of a vid when you start off by screwing up the intro 😂
That used to be my favorite place to stay. 20 years ago it was $600 a week. It’s too crowded around there these days.

I always bake my 🐟 whiting with some 🍅 tomatoes. Never fry them. Kinda underrated fish at the piers. I think they are delicious.
FYI, next time you bait a blue crab be sure to go through the leg joins. I will stay on the hook much better.

You can’t have your drag loose when pier fishing the pillings. Those little fish would not be drag and getting you in trouble wrapping your line up. Just an fyi from a guy that pier fishes almost every weekend
You should find out who owns hog Island off the coast of Virginia and fish for black drum in the surf, 25- 50 lbs I did with my dad back in the 80s
So you do this for a living and you’re on a mission to eat only what you catch but you don’t bring a net? once again, this is what you do for a living you do for a living. I don’t get it? without the help of strangers, you can’t catch a keeper fish where you’re fishing.
