Eating Whatever We Catch in Maine - Squid, Crabs, Mackerel n' More!
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 30 сен 2024
- My pops visits Maine for the first time for a little fishing and eating whatever we can catch from the jetties and piers of the coast! We caught squid, crabs, rockfish, mackerel and saw loads of lobster! The cookout on the beach was the best way to end it.
Keep trying new things and leveling up in real life!

Honestly
It’s so awesome that you get to hangout with the old man and do all these awesome fishing adventures. I’m sure he is enjoying it more than you are.
I don’t consistently watch ace bc if I do I get really hungry , I make sure to watch him when I’m always eating , the videos just hit different 😂💯
same eating something right now
😂😂😂 we all eating while watching
fr im eating noodles rn
go to fs
Dude I agree it's always a mistake to watch him hungry you'll wanna eat the house after watching one😅
2:41 Bloodworms do bite and are also venomous. Fun fact: their teeth are actually made of a mixture containing roughly 10% copper (yes, the metal).
As a mainer, this is awesome to see well known RUclipsrs come here and fish.
I love watching the interaction you have with your dad .It reminds me of the times I had with my father fishing and foraging for shellfish on the beaches of New Zealand.Unfortunately my old boy is no longer around and I don’t mean to post a bummer of a comment but I honestly respect and enjoy watching the time you two spend together 👍.
Also your brother Micah is a cool dude .I enjoy watching the content on all of your guys channels combined .Even me ancients MRE reviews 😊
that non-resident law is stilly. grab those lobsters, and eat 'em, I say.
bro got the raw cones in the tackle box
29:45
Anyone catch the Raw cones in that dudes tackle bag lol
😂😂😂 im pretty sure it’s legal lol
Hey brother if you put those cooked crabs on ice after cooking. The meat comes out easier
They also taste even worse
That seasoning won't last me a lifetime. I put it on everything!!!
Me too! Currently enjoying a bowl of Ace popcorn! 😂
Been doing the breakwater as the locals call it my whole life. Not sure why but the mackerel are usually always bigger then the ones you got this day. The other baitfish schooling up look to be POGIES. Fantastic lobster bait due to the oils in the skin. Next time your in maine Rockport harbor is a mackerel hotspot!! The best mackerel bait is actually chunks of mackerel.
Ace im a huge fan and have been watching for years you got me into fishing and I caught my first shark recently ❤
Green crabs are invasive and many chefs in Maine are trying to beat the stigma about them and find a way to prepare and eat them. Not bad at all.
your dad is such a great dude
I discovered your channel yesterday, i already saw many vids. You guys are really cool. This is refreshing me a lot !
Buddy had his RAW papers @ 29:44 lol
What are those?
@@gaminggator37 weed papers 😆
@@GeeVisionS lol
the blood worms bite and its bad if they do
Seen those raw cones 😂
You really have to go to norway one day.
A fishermans paradise!!!!!
That would be the greatest content i could think of
Here in Norway you can buy hot and cold smoked Mackerel, with the hot smoke being a pepper mackerel, in almost any convenience store. You should try to smoke yourself. Use green and black pepper and koriander seeds. God bless and lots of love from Norway.
Netherlands also almost every convenianve store mackerel smoked on the shelves really nice for a sandwich or just as is.
You should try squid sautéed in butter with teriyaki sauce. No breading. That’s my favorite method
That fish you said looks like a rass is a cunner im pretty sure i saw my home in the background lol 😅
We call the Jonah crabs rock crabs up here lol good video
That little fish u caught was,a,cunner
Ace, while you’re in Maine you should pay a visit to Cape Cod and go for some striped bass and bluefish. I live in the area and the fishing is exceptional! Have fun in Maine!
34:21 Mackerel not Flounder lol 😂
There it is! 😂 I was beginning to think you werent going to post it.
dude had the raw cones in his tackle box what a legend
only thing i found out about mackerel if u dont bleed and gut them pretty much straight away they have a very pungent fishy taste some people like that it doesnt bother me but some dont
You need to come to the west coast here in Canada and go trolling for salmon. It is by far my favourite type of fishing. If you want it to be guided there is a great lodge called Nootka Marine Adventures that have tons of guides and even boats that you can take out yourself. You also sleep in these awesome yurts. This sounds like an ad for the lodge but I just loved fishing there.
Shoutout to the guy at 29:45 got the cones ready🫡
😀🌱🌱
I adore the kids that approach you when you’re out fishing. They’re just so curious and fascinated by everything 😍 it’s adorable!
Weather is much more nicer than down south right now
Your the only Chanel I can watch and know ill watch the whole thing without skipping and enjoy it like a episode, your awesome
and Outdoor Boys
if i could have anything in life, i would choose to hang out fishing with y’all for even a day. watched you for years now. good content!
the raw cone lmao
Im so happy to see you in Maine! I've lived here all my life, had no idea you'd come up to visit. That brings me so much joy, I feel like my state is so underrated! How was it? Btw, Bloodworms do in fact bite, and they HURT! Lol
29:44 guy got RAW in his fishing stuff 😂
Ace, you and your dad need to try the Charleston Breechway in Rhode Island. Lots of action! You’re not too far. Welcome to the northeast!
I was born & raised in Maine . I live in Freeport and wish I would of know you where here. Blood worms DO BITE. They will draw blood. Next time, go to Fort Popham; Popham beach and fish near the fort for mackerel. They're 14-16 inches in lengh. Sorry I missed you.
Bar harbor here! Sit on the edge of the dock and when they are running, no stop catching! Come to the White Mountains of NH and fish!
Those blood worms i think they bite dirty jobs ep idk but they can burrow through your hand
Nice
Catch and cook in my home City! Glad you guys had Fun Fishing on the breakwater and the yacht club boat ramp!
29:40 this guy had some blunt rolling papers in his tackle box 😂
When ever I am fishing for mackerel I would break the neck and rip of the first gill for it to bleed, I found that if you leave the blood that would cook the flesh and make it fishy.
Hello sir, How are you? I'm from Cambodia
Holy Mackerel!! 😂🎣🐟👍
Toss a live mackerel on a circle hook, that will get you hooked onto the stripers
it works
good
it works
Definitely the way to go!
Love your catch and cook videos! Thank you for making these videos 👍
The fish you caught at about 4 mins in was called a cunner or sea perch. Your right they look like a Hawaiian wrasse as they are part of the wrasse family. I’m from Prince Edward Island and they are fairly common around here as well.
This video and your interactions with your father and random bystanders is just awesome. I really appreciate how humble you sound the entire video. A phenomenal RUclipsr.
Hay ace. You can make slots. Of Cooking with. Crabs and. Lobster do. Cousin. Like. Crabs and. Lobster pasta. Seafood. And. Crabs and lobster pizza and fries and. Crabs with mayonnaise cheese burger. Sandwich you can eat fish with. Garlic mashed mayonnaise tomato. Breads coke’s cola
The raw cones on 29:44 💀
Right 😂😂 I was looking if anyone noticed em, I personally love watching ace while absolutely blasted 😂
Hello M8, I'm from Poland and I must admit I love Your videos, especially this great bond that You have with Your Father. You're like Ping and Pong, Click and Clack, Peanut Butter and Jelly :D God Bless You !
Hey I live in Maine! A lot of lobsters I can tell u that
Hey ace I’ve been watching your fishing videos for almost about 2-3 years now and I really enjoy the fishing videos and maybe one day I can run into you one day and catch fish together overall good vids 🙂👍
Name is Nick Huron
When you see Pops to open up the video you know it’s about to be a good day.
Thing that looks like a ras is a cunner
make eating only what you catch for three days in maine
Nice thumbnail ace keep up the good work on your channel and hopefully you have 2 million subscribers and no time. Keep catching whole bunch of fish and I will always be tuned into your magnificent channel. Love ya🎉😂😢
Yeah I hate Washing my hands in the deep water specially evening. 😂 Bcuz I always imagine shark or 🐊
the bass looking fish, we here in New England call them ROCK BASS..
Ace get a one inch dowel rod and put approx 2’ of very heavy wire or even a metal coat hanger on it (for the line). Drop it down in the holes in the rocks along jetties and hang on
Why doesn’t ace post on his original channel? It’s been over a month? Miss the frequent uploads.😢
He's already making a lot of money
39:48 “There dead or in a coma” got me laughing bro
I have gone to Maine every year for 18 years with my grandparents I’m from Massachusetts. Last year my grandpa passed and we didn’t go. I’m gals to watch you fish and have a good time like I’d do when I would go. You’re the best. Old orchard beach is where I would go. I’m thinking to go with some friends before summer ends
Hi my friend, I'm from Maine and I know our lobster population is getting low. That's probably why you have to be a resident to keep them. I've always wanted to do this but have never had the opportunity. I would have loved to be with you and gotten my limit and shared. We could have had a delicious feast. A couple weeks ago we had a haddock fry at my granddaughters birthday celebration and all the haddock was from a fishing trip my son in law did this summer. Delicious!! I hope you enjoyed our beautiful state.😊❤
hey Ace here’s a tip for mackerel: the best bait for mackerel is mackerel that’s what we use in california when we catch one we cut up the little chunks of mackerel and put it on the sabiki
I live in maine! I have been watching you and your brother for a long time. Super cool to see this
Love watching you and your ancient when use are fishing together. As always your videos are beautiful to watch. ❤️💯❤️💯❤️
What a video love seeing what you catch and eat in all these videos glad your old man got to visit Maine amazing video as always I can't wait for the next one
Love your videos ace. Me and my 3year old burnt through your old ones and have been excited for a new one. He learned the word ace/fish from your videos!
I am in main right now not far from the ocean for a hunting trip. Also love the vids keep up the great work
Blood worms can bite they can hurt my mom got bitten by one
No 😢
Have you ever fished the Farallon islands in San Francisco for rockfish
You are my new binge watching show. Just saw you save a guys pole with a shark hooked.
Use to go fishing in 70s with my dad off the coast of NH by Isles of Scholes. Back then we'd catch so much cod, Pollok, mackerel and flounder
But its all fished out nowadays
Instead of cooking with that criscos garbage you should give beef tallow a try or lard or even ghee! It would make your meal much healthier and tastier
True but they probably only used what they had on hand
I LOVE THIS VIDEO, I HAVE BEEN WATCHING YOU SINCE COVID!!!!!!!!!
Havent finished the video yet, but bloodworms do bite. I am fairly certain that they carry venom too
I been watching your dad's channel for year he's awesome I stumbled on your channel I'm now subscribed
I love these longer videos to watch while I’m eating 😂
If Calamari is too rubbery, it is not cooked properly.
It's just overcooked nothing wrong with it you can eat squid raw
@@Doodle624 yep
@@Doodle624without the guts fresh from the water yeah
I always had Calamari in rings. 37:00
Blood worms....just use a little piece. Don't use the whole thing.
i'm in south carolina, near myrtle beach, and we call those pogies menhadden. they are king mackeral candy but noone here eats them that i know of. they are real oily and i was told boney and strong tasting. no good for consumption.
We call it the same in Florida but around the pan handle they call them pogies
Love your videos thank you . And if you ever saltwater aquarium I would love to see it ? There are so many fish that you catch could go right in there that's for sure . The little ones I mean .
47:40 you and pops are just too good hahah, the sync when you guys say ''cheers'' brought a smile to my face.
damg it i thought i was gonna be the first
That fish that cut you off at around 24:45 could have been a bluefish they cut off your line alott
Not only do you have to worry about sharks you've got to watch out for monster snapping turtles. I was trout fishing this past spring and I had caught a trout off a dock in a stocked pond , anyway I bent over the edge of the floating dock to wash the slime off my hands and a big turtle came out and grabbed my finger. By the grace of God I was fast enough to jerk my hand out of his mouth before he clamped down and took it off. Blood was flying but at least I kept my finger
That jetty looks a hell of a lot easier to walk on than the ones out here in California s bay area
Those little fish you were catching that look like wrasse are called "Cunner" . The larger ones are very tasty!
Best video everrrrrrrrrrrrrrr🙂
Those wrasse things you were catching were bergalls, they taste pretty good but they’re just always so small
Please more videos adventures with Pops. Great time watching family and sharing gods gift’s together and sharing to all to see the bonds of family. Love it Ace. 💚
You should get in to hunting
Hey dude...love watching your videos, awsome that you fish with your dad.. Lovely memories being made...Some of the places that you fish are very nice...Tight lines bro all the way from Durban , South Africa....
Hard to top having a dad that raised you well and can be your friend in adulthood. Keep enjoying it!
Can you do a video of ALL of your cooking equipment? I noticed that when you cook you used different type of cooking tools from pots, pan and heat source.
Awesome video once again💯good luck out there!
I always used to fish in Maine great spot❤
Damn right it is
