Ladies and gentlemen, don’t be deceived by him wearing the same outfit for the whole second half of the video - It’s clear this took MONTHS. 6 months on a project is insane commitment.
I miss having the time to build k’nex, so part of the joy of your videos for me is that I get to feel like i’m building along with you, and troubleshooting with you. Even though you make it seem MUCH more streamlined than the process truly is. That second launch especially - i’m sure that took so much precision, and many attempts.
And even the small things, like the excitement of opening a package, or the satisfaction of cleaning up your floor after a messy building process. You capture it all. I miss it, and you bring me back. Thank you Brad.

for the launch maybe use a bit of the knex chain as it rachets in and then you can pull it along also you can use a weight to pull string witch when a motor releases will launch it, also the motor can pull the dog back

You should just connect multiple rubber bands in parellal to make the rubber band stiffer so it stores more potential energy in the same length of disturbence and takes the trains up to a higher speed. You can as well make a high torque pulley/gear/something to pull the launch dog into the position for trains to enter the launch after the ride if you end up finding it hard to pull the beefed up rubber bands. That way you can make a launch that doesn't depend on you yoinking some rope dangling off of a wall
If you could get it to work with the right motor, maybe you can integrate the motors that Lego uses in their sets?

I would recommend searching any used selling websites to find used “screaming serpent” and “rippin rocket” sets. If you find one that’s less than $40, it’s a good deal.

Basic Fun / K'nex made it for me for Hyperia and then I sent it to Coaster Obsessed when I was finished with it

I think Stardust Racers is a tereible name. If the original name still can't be used, try calling it "Starfield Racers". Not quite as good as the original, but certainly good enough
