GoPro Hero 9 v Akaso Brave 7 v Akaso EK7000

Hello everybody.
In today's video, I thought I would give you some footage from my new Akaso Brave 7 action camera. I already use a GoPro Hero 9 and a Akaso EK7000 for my videos, but i wanted a 3rd camers with the hope that I could get better quality footage for the scenic views in my videos, and also as a front facing camera inside the car.
Then I thought it would be useful for you, to see the differences between these 3 cameras as the GoPro is £350, the Akaso Brave 7 is £150 and the Akaso EK7000 is £50.
I have taken some night footage with various light levels, audio comparison and daylight footage from inside the car, from the front of the car and also some side footage to give you a true 'out of the box' comparison, with a few thoughts at the end.

I really appreciate the thorough review. I was mostly curious how the “budget” EK7000 held up to a high end camera like the GoPro. I also wonder if there’s a defect with the mic on your Akaso Brave 7, other reviews I’ve watched don’t seem to have that static, but still show fairly lousy audio in general from Akaso.

Hi there and thanks for the comment. I made this video a while back now, and got rid of the Brave almost immediately. I have been using the budget Akaso as a support B roll camera since but this has now also gone. I have been using davinci resolve to edit my videos for 9 months now, but the latest update has made the footage from the Akaso unusable. It just will not read the footage, but the footage does play back fine.

I'm not quite sure why this has happened, but it started with the footage I took from my Welsh road trip in August.

The quality of the picture and the audio especially is far superior on the Go-Pro, I know it’s more expensive but the difference in quality far exceeds the difference in price therefore it gets the win from me 👍
