How many megapix-sells? Haha.
Right, i swear it's pronounced megapixels, not i was wrong!🤣
i pronounce it like meh-guh-pick-suls
The front display is really useful if you do film yourself and need a timer to see how long your video segment is.
This unboxing experience was like mine (7000ek). I had to guess, suppose, or assume the purpose of each accessory because instructions certainly don’t make it clear. After a few months I still have not figured them all out. I appreciate your effort. Seems to me that for one just wanting a basic inexpensive camera to get started the 7000 is sufficient. For those wanting notably better audio and video, skip the Brave and shop for another brand, probably GoPro.
How is video quality better than Brave 4 or Ek7000? Thank you
That is the wrong sd card for 4K when it says full hd it is 1080 it should say 4k at the top and the little u on your card has a 1 in it it should have a 3
This has the exact same accessory pack as a Campark X30 4k. I think all these cams are made in the same Chinese factory.
In order to get a low price cam with outstanding 1080p, shop for one with 4k/60 fps.
Thank you i need one
Can I use 128 GB SD card?
Thank you for making this video. I just bought the Brave 4 and had no clue.
Oh my, that audio is pretty bad on both cameras.
I've heard it is with GoPro/action cameras in general, and that if you want decent audio you have to buy an external mic, which only the Akaso professional edition supports at the moment.
@@aphyngodiva2551 which Akaso professional edition are u talking about?
Great vid! Thank you! My Brave 4 arrives in a few days. Did you ever look for a lens hood for the camera?
Excellent unboxing and comparison video. I also liked how you checked the various settings (like 60 hz for USA frequency; and the difference between the gyroscope (video) and stabilization (photos).
I feel like this was recorded and then played back at 1/2 speed.....
i really appreciate the video and going through all the details. just got this camera and this helped more than you know. Happy holidays Sir.
Can someone help me i dont know witch take between the brave 4 and the ek7000 pro
Thank you for making this! I was thing about buying one for making fishing videos, but I just wasn't sure about the quality. But this really helped so thank you!
sound quality seems awful, thank you for posting
cut the crap. way to long.
shut up Ken
Nice instructional video bro 😷👍🏻😎 thanks 🙏
Good video! A bit long though...
I just bought brave 4 yesterday in Amazon, and now will ask for refund. Not so good
whats wrong with it??
I just got it rn it feels really cheap and i got scared it ate my sd card cause it just plopped in instead of clicking in i managed to fix that but its not looking too good
Can you please tell me if the camera Akaso Brave 4 supports power from the Powerbank? Thank.
Thank you such a detailed review
Watched this is 1.5x speed was perfect.
Thanks for the great review! I think your old camera has a better picture. I'm disappointed I bought the Brave 4. I wish some of the questions people asked here were answered- they're good questions. This is my first "GoPro" type camera.
Do not buy Akaso action cameras.
They are rubbish. You can't use it for long.
They break down easily.
My friend and I bought Akaso action cam from Aliexpress.
Mine broken down within a month and my friend's broke down in a few months as well.
Hi there, a really nice detailed review and comparison video. I bought the ek7000 cam some time ago to do fpv on a drone I was building, ( its just about finished) unfortunately the ek7000 does not output analog video which is what I need as an input for my drone's video transmitter, I ended up mounting a hdmi to analog converter onto my drone so I could view my cams video remotely, and record onto the sd card. Unfortunately there is no way to trigger the camera to start recording video or take pictures in pic mode when the cam is outputting hdmi signal which is extremely disappointing. I wonder if the brave 4 has the same issue, if not, I would definitely upgrade to the brave 4.
Why don’t you just use a foxeer arrow as your FPV feed and 3d print mount this to your drone? That’s pretty much how everyone os doing it!
@@kwadwadfpv2386 I am using a fixed fpv camera connected to the front of my drone. I have added a video switching module to switch between the hdmi source on my gimbal mounted akaso cam and the source from my fixed fpv cam.
Thank you. I couldn't even figure out how to get it off the stand until I found your video. My first one! Very helpful video!
1 year later....I'm still trying to get my camera off the little black board.
bro I’m not tryna be mean but you talk hella slow, I ended up watching it in 1.5x speed. Great review tho
sound is bad whi ??
everyone complaining about audio for this... JUST YOU WAIT until you hear the v50x...
Will there be a ton of wind noise without the case on? Should I put the case on when I take it motorcycling? I just got the brave 4 to start out with but I haven't used it yet.
Good video...brave 4 picture quality looks not as good... when you did the voice test, it looked fuzzy, lol..it was the film over the lens,,,duhhhhh. i think the 7000 is better what do you think?
Good video. I appreciate it was a lot of work. I am expecting to open one as a present tomorrow so, I it was good getting a jump on it.
The walking video showed the Stabilization difference in the 7000 beautifully. HOWEVER...The Driving test should have been Apples to Apples meaning, 170 to 170. Not 170 to 110. IMHO.
LASTLY...I am so disappointed in the mic, now :( Although, it should be great for a 2-camera shoot, I was also planing on making occasional videos from my car but, again, the mic quality is sub-standard for this quality of video.
I bought an Akaso Brave 4 and ended up sending it back. The picture quality was nowhere near what I thought it would be from watching numerous video's on it. I think maybe it was a faulty one, but decided on a used gopro instead.
Are you happy with the gopro?
@@dennisp4293 It works for what I need it for, which is just basic recording. The build quality is definitely better with the GoPro.
Not a real 4K actioncam,it's in reality a resolution of 2880x2160 24FPS. See videostream data: ruclips.net/video/Wdgyt82zVyU/видео.html But stil a good camera for its money .
Thank you for this video!!!!! I was scared to touch it! This was very helpful and appreciated!
40 minute video? It is like reviewing space shuttle
lollllll
@TonyPollock yes i agree if you dont want to watch dont ever click and watch this video no one is forcing you!
Well for us newbies and non-techies, it’s great!
I actually prefer these long videos, they go into every detail.
I’m gosh!! Show me how to run the thing!!! I’m not going to apologize, but my friend. With respect, you got ya up your game. Gd ok!👍
Why does the video look better on the EK 7000?
jasonearlybowens because it's better?
Kind of strange that a camera that is supposed to be and upgrade is not better than it's older version.
I suspect it is because he had the Brave 4 set to 110 deg viewing angle, while the EK 7000 has a fixed 170-degree viewing angle. With these cameras, I believe that changing the viewing angle setting simply crops the view, so he is no longer getting a "4K" video (1440p), but something closer to 720p.
cos He just switched the positions after the car shot...its brave 4 the better one...
I have akaso brave 4 and when i start shooting videos and timelapse videos, after a few seconds it stops itself, so i can't shoot the videos i want. Can you help me?
I bough this camera and returned it after I tested it for Mountain Biking... in short - save your money and time. this camera is so bad for mtb...
Nice unboxing video.
I'm planning to make video channel for acoustic covers, I'm a bit confused about what camera and mic do I use that is on the affordable budget. I need your opinion Sir thank you in advanced.
Thanks for this thorough review. I just picked up the Brave 4. I have Gopro session and 5 Black but wanted one more camera angle. I didn’t want to break the bank either. I have a gimbal that I will see if this camera fits into as well. I know you mention the stabilization was an important feature for you. It is for me as well and I was satisfied with the Hero 5 Black but it was a bit lacking. I’m not assuming the Brave 5 will be any better, but if I can get it in my gimbal then it’s a nonissue.
Again, thanks for your work on this.
Thanks
Thanks for this video very easy to understand and the comparison makes it an easier choice. Looks to me as though the 7000 has a better pic IMO!
I buyed Brave-4 so not the best but I like it it's cool especially night view recording wonderful
Nice backyard you got there... however, i did observe one thing that the image stabilization was not working .. was it activated while recording ?
why is your video so out of synch at the end? what camera are you shooting that on? I see you keep editing to see if that makes it better, but it doesn't. is that akaso brave 4 losing synch?
Hi, nice review, about microphone, i believe you can connect external microphone through a HDMI to female connector....
I'm sorry but I can only watch this at 2X speed...
Just received this as a gift. Watched this video while waiting for the batteries to charge ... hoping to learn something about the Gyro and IS functions. I think you lost a lot of video quality by switching to the 110-degree viewing angle.
Thanks for the video, how does the Brave 4 compare to the Hero 10?
Does it have a sony sensor? The EK7000 video is much better than the brave 4.
Good video thank you, I appreciate the information going to order one right now
Appreciative greetings from the Netherlands. Your video is a big help. Now I'll get my Brave 4 easier going..... Thanks!!
this was helpful. but I still don't know how to use the remote control.....
my camera had an extra peel of screen in front lens of camera so don’t forget to take it off before putting camera back in case
Nice video. I have to buy an action cam, since I need it on my motorbike, and I think I will get the EK7000.
EK7000 does have FOV adjustment on 3rd page of settings between Diving Mode and Effect. It works by cropping the video so you do lose sharpness.
Thanks just bought our 5 year old the brave 4 that he asked for from Santa. I think he will like it.
Does the remote or in the phone app allow you to turn on the camera without you physically pressing the turn on button on the camera?
Excellent review. I want to purchase an action camera but for an old gal I do not want to spend a lot. I appreciate all your input.
You should change your windshield!
this vid was SUPER helpful thank you
thanks for the review bro i actually buy this action cam today because of your videos hehehe thanks
👍👍👍like your video.
get the GEEKAM brother is a good camera good video any way ! keep the good work
do you know how to use this as a webcam replacement on an iMac? Is that possible?
comparisons are useless and misleading when the same angles and other settings arent used.
How do I turn on the wifi and use the remote bracelet??
What did you use to get the protective cover gunk off of the lens?
Thanks from Italy....one question ....you know name of sensor and chipset from this camera ?
When are you people going to learn that unboxing is for kids at Christmas. For goodness sake stop the childish unboxing and if you must show everyone the gadgets inside the box then tip them all out onto your table. Also why on earth did you use the waterproof case and drill holes in it? Why didn't you use it without the case if you wanted to expose the ports and have the speaker exposed.
I witched the first 3½ minutes and turned off.
Thanks for the video, good stuff. I have watched the video since I bought brave 4K. I like it. Thanks again
Nice video mate .Subscriber from Kerala ☻
Hi, the microphone is inside or need of one a part?
Any feedback when using this cam at night?
Hi
Great review. Lot of informations about this cam on your video, great job.
I have a questions:
Have you try to plug this camera on your iMac. Does it work with OBS? With HDMI port or USB port?
I know to you can use it on a tv with a hdmi to mini hdmi adapter
what software you use for making the movie etc.
Much obliged
The static sound from the mic can be removed/reduced with audacity, depending on the audio format you may need to get the 2 plugins in order to import the audio file. Plenty of tutorials along with links to the plugins on yt.
What is the actual resolution of that camera?
Hello nice Video! Is it possible to attach another microphone to the cam to capture better Sound if yes which ones?
Thanks in advice ! thumbs up
Unfortunately you cannot attach an external mic to either camera. Usually I’ll use a lapel mic and plug it into my cell phone and record audio with my phone in my pocket. I sync the audio later in editing.
thanks for the fast answer !
thanks for the fast answer thumbs up !
Their professional version has mic support, for $100.
The large alligator clip piece mates to the open back clip that has the top & bottom threaded tripod holes. Got the Brave 4 on lightning deal at Amazon for $67. My two selling points were the adjustable angle on the lens and being able to power the camer via USB.
Hello, do you know if there is a way for the brave4 to record while its plugged into your car adapter? For me it goes straight to a mass storage screen that I can't get out of. Thanks.
Maybe try a charge only cord without the data lines, so it doesn't think it needs to transfer data -
when I plugged in the USB cord to my laptop, it just keeps turning on and off and won't do anything else... thinking about returning it and get geekam to try it, that is $20 cheaper and live streams. any ideas?
Keith Huang from my experience with the AKASO brave 4, instead of directly transferring data straight to a laptop, use your cameras wifi and connect it to your phone then you can transfer everything though an app. i recommend ismart DV, it is the most efficient to use 🌝
Excellent review......thank you!
What can I do to amplify the sound
You have some very useful encyclopedia
Just bought my new akaso brave 4 .i haven't opened it yet for my unboxing vlog...i hope it would work well as i will use it tomorrow.but as i watched your very thorough review and comparison i believe i'm not gonna have problems with it..good work sir..
Why would you damage your case like that, Akaso provides an open mount.
I thought the same thing before getting the unit. Now that I have it I am planning on doing the same thing.
Amazing review! Thank you very helpful
I really enjoyed the video. I just received my camera today and wanted to get some input on how to use it before trying it out. I learned a lot and am not as overwhelmed as I was. Thank you.
what camera was this video taken with?
The external mic is really good and worth using. I drilled a hole in the side of the waterproof case so I can use it with the case. Of course not waterproof now but I am not using it for underwater shots.
I'm adding a 3.5 External Microphone port. It looks pretty straightforward. ruclips.net/video/6tYi3hY-0Ug/видео.html
you have done a good video im going to buy one
The sound on both is awful. YUK !
The "fish-eye" distortion on the 7000 was/is horrid it is slightly improved on the B4 but still far from gone.
The default picture quality with regards to contrast on the B4 is too soft and less to my taste although the 7k is too too high.
Poor quality digital stabilization creates jello but what do you expect at this price point?
All in all.... meh.
Nice review.
Cheers
Hey, i have a question for my akaso brave 4 pro.
I bought the camera to geht nice and wide video shootings for my holidays.
When i go to video mode, i can't change the angle view.
On their side, they said it can change to 170 degree angle but when i go to settings, the "angle" button is greyed out and can't be clicked.
Only in Foto mode i can change the angle. Is my camera broken
...you don't have a backyard...that's the "North Forty"...hope ya got a riding mower...Thank you for posting...A.C.Feuerhelm
