Thank you for making this! I was thing about buying one for making fishing videos, but I just wasn't sure about the quality. But this really helped so thank you!
Thank you for the very informative, detailed and helpful review! I picked up the EK 7000 last week and will be going for the Bravo 7 very soon! It’s great to know that I don’t have to shell out hundreds $$$ for a Go Pro! 🎥👍🏾
Excellent unboxing and comparison video. I also liked how you checked the various settings (like 60 hz for USA frequency; and the difference between the gyroscope (video) and stabilization (photos).
Watched a dozen videos on the Brave 4. Your was absolutely the best. Very helpful. Will be diving in Roatan in a few days hopefully with Whale Sharks .... not known for giving you a second shot at filming them, so it all has to come together. Thanks you!
Just bought my new akaso brave 4 .i haven't opened it yet for my unboxing vlog...i hope it would work well as i will use it tomorrow.but as i watched your very thorough review and comparison i believe i'm not gonna have problems with it..good work sir..
Thanks for the great review! I think your old camera has a better picture. I'm disappointed I bought the Brave 4. I wish some of the questions people asked here were answered- they're good questions. This is my first "GoPro" type camera.
I really enjoyed the video. I just received my camera today and wanted to get some input on how to use it before trying it out. I learned a lot and am not as overwhelmed as I was. Thank you.
The large alligator clip piece mates to the open back clip that has the top & bottom threaded tripod holes. Got the Brave 4 on lightning deal at Amazon for $67. My two selling points were the adjustable angle on the lens and being able to power the camer via USB.
I have viewed several videos on the brave 4……And yours is by far the most thorough! I really enjoyed it …. it was helpful. I have never used a device like this as I usually just take my digital cameras. There’s something about this that intrigued me so I’m giving it a try.Thank you
Gyro is a gimbal setting. The stabilization is for shake stability. My brave 4 came with a seperate clear door that has two open slots for audio on the door where the bumpers belong.
The static sound from the mic can be removed/reduced with audacity, depending on the audio format you may need to get the 2 plugins in order to import the audio file. Plenty of tutorials along with links to the plugins on yt.
Will there be a ton of wind noise without the case on? Should I put the case on when I take it motorcycling? I just got the brave 4 to start out with but I haven't used it yet.
The external mic is really good and worth using. I drilled a hole in the side of the waterproof case so I can use it with the case. Of course not waterproof now but I am not using it for underwater shots.
The 7000 seems sharper while the 4 seems more stable. Could it be the film on the Brave 4 that is causing it to be less sharp? Have you tried the wifi? My iPhone will not connect to the Victure that I have.
The piece at 5:58 slides in behind the bare frame holder you will have to take off the waterproof case to place it in there tho. Then you can clip the camera on to your jacket or hat but it won't be very secure thats why its a good idea to get 50 in 1 Accessory kit from amazon that comes with a head and chest strap and even a tripod all that for just $25 dollars
Hi there, a really nice detailed review and comparison video. I bought the ek7000 cam some time ago to do fpv on a drone I was building, ( its just about finished) unfortunately the ek7000 does not output analog video which is what I need as an input for my drone's video transmitter, I ended up mounting a hdmi to analog converter onto my drone so I could view my cams video remotely, and record onto the sd card. Unfortunately there is no way to trigger the camera to start recording video or take pictures in pic mode when the cam is outputting hdmi signal which is extremely disappointing. I wonder if the brave 4 has the same issue, if not, I would definitely upgrade to the brave 4.
@@kwadwadfpv2386 I am using a fixed fpv camera connected to the front of my drone. I have added a video switching module to switch between the hdmi source on my gimbal mounted akaso cam and the source from my fixed fpv cam.
why is your video so out of synch at the end? what camera are you shooting that on? I see you keep editing to see if that makes it better, but it doesn't. is that akaso brave 4 losing synch?
Thanks for this thorough review. I just picked up the Brave 4. I have Gopro session and 5 Black but wanted one more camera angle. I didn’t want to break the bank either. I have a gimbal that I will see if this camera fits into as well. I know you mention the stabilization was an important feature for you. It is for me as well and I was satisfied with the Hero 5 Black but it was a bit lacking. I’m not assuming the Brave 5 will be any better, but if I can get it in my gimbal then it’s a nonissue. Again, thanks for your work on this.
I have akaso brave 4 and when i start shooting videos and timelapse videos, after a few seconds it stops itself, so i can't shoot the videos i want. Can you help me?
This unboxing experience was like mine (7000ek). I had to guess, suppose, or assume the purpose of each accessory because instructions certainly don’t make it clear. After a few months I still have not figured them all out. I appreciate your effort. Seems to me that for one just wanting a basic inexpensive camera to get started the 7000 is sufficient. For those wanting notably better audio and video, skip the Brave and shop for another brand, probably GoPro.
The ONLY thing I wished about these lower cost action cameras is they have mini 3.5mm jacks for mic inputs so I can use my wireless mic. I have to use my lavalier mics with the sd card for audio and sync with the video for extremely much better quality. other than that, the quality is just fine for me. I find it best not to mess with the settings for color and sharpness and etc. It seems to crunch the video up and look splotchy.
Hey, i have a question for my akaso brave 4 pro. I bought the camera to geht nice and wide video shootings for my holidays. When i go to video mode, i can't change the angle view. On their side, they said it can change to 170 degree angle but when i go to settings, the "angle" button is greyed out and can't be clicked. Only in Foto mode i can change the angle. Is my camera broken
I suspect it is because he had the Brave 4 set to 110 deg viewing angle, while the EK 7000 has a fixed 170-degree viewing angle. With these cameras, I believe that changing the viewing angle setting simply crops the view, so he is no longer getting a "4K" video (1440p), but something closer to 720p.
I've heard it is with GoPro/action cameras in general, and that if you want decent audio you have to buy an external mic, which only the Akaso professional edition supports at the moment.
I bought an Akaso Brave 4 and ended up sending it back. The picture quality was nowhere near what I thought it would be from watching numerous video's on it. I think maybe it was a faulty one, but decided on a used gopro instead.
I just got it rn it feels really cheap and i got scared it ate my sd card cause it just plopped in instead of clicking in i managed to fix that but its not looking too good
Just received this as a gift. Watched this video while waiting for the batteries to charge ... hoping to learn something about the Gyro and IS functions. I think you lost a lot of video quality by switching to the 110-degree viewing angle.
Hi Great review. Lot of informations about this cam on your video, great job. I have a questions: Have you try to plug this camera on your iMac. Does it work with OBS? With HDMI port or USB port?

Good video...brave 4 picture quality looks not as good... when you did the voice test, it looked fuzzy, lol..it was the film over the lens,,,duhhhhh. i think the 7000 is better what do you think?
Nice unboxing video. I'm planning to make video channel for acoustic covers, I'm a bit confused about what camera and mic do I use that is on the affordable budget. I need your opinion Sir thank you in advanced.
This has the exact same accessory pack as a Campark X30 4k. I think all these cams are made in the same Chinese factory.
In order to get a low price cam with outstanding 1080p, shop for one with 4k/60 fps.
Thank you i need one
thanks for the review bro i actually buy this action cam today because of your videos hehehe thanks

EK7000 does have FOV adjustment on 3rd page of settings between Diving Mode and Effect. It works by cropping the video so you do lose sharpness.

Can I use 128 GB SD card?
I feel like this was recorded and then played back at 1/2 speed.....
Nice backyard you got there... however, i did observe one thing that the image stabilization was not working .. was it activated while recording ?

Any feedback when using this cam at night?
How do I turn on the wifi and use the remote bracelet??

Why don’t you just use a foxeer arrow as your FPV feed and 3d print mount this to your drone? That’s pretty much how everyone os doing it!

this was helpful. but I still don't know how to use the remote control.....

So the camera is waterproof without those shells?
How is video quality better than Brave 4 or Ek7000? Thank you
my camera had an extra peel of screen in front lens of camera so don’t forget to take it off before putting camera back in case
what camera was this video taken with?
Is this camera compatible with a gopro suction cup mount or do they offer one?
