- Опубликовано: 4 фев 2012
- Max goes for a gentle ride down a black diamond at Northstar. Watch him glide and sail down the steep slopes of one of many black runs at Northstar at Tahoe. This was just after the slope was groomed. I hope you don't mind the small intro as we make our way to the top of the slope. Filmed with Go Pro Hero2. Black run starts at 1:02 - for those non-believers there's even a sign with black diamond on it!!!
Plot Twist he is actually an experienced midget.
W
Mark Thompson lol
Har de har har.
dude just murdered that slope.. wish I was skiing right now! instead I'm scratching my ass at work watching RUclips vids
Whatever level of difficulty that was it was still pretty good. Nice job kid!
Aryan P keep in mind it’s not a double black
Can i just point out this is really just a kind of easy red run
At 7 years old, he has great form, you should be very proud of him.
So many trolls or idiots on here.... give the kid a break..... hes 7 years old and is doing really well! Well done kid!
Josh Thorman when I was 7-8 years old I could jump a big jump and not get hurt, lol
Me too! but he is doing well! Go on little dude!
im not trying to be mean, but it doesnt look like a diamond at all
Pickle Boy totaly right
I'm guessing here but I don't think the kid makes decisions about mountain policy!
This doesn't look like a black diamond... look's more like a blue.
Justin Sabbatini Yeah, no moguls and the slope is not even that bad.
the first one yeah but when they went on the "toninis" one that looked like a diamond, either way that kids good
rbfabc yeah he is almist carving at 7 it took me till i was 10 to properly know how to carbe
Black Diamonds are easy anyway
Da Bowl what hills do you ski on and have you ever been in real mountains(rockies or apalaches(the second one is the french name for it....the one that goes down the west side of the country) )
People who’s saying it’s a blue square: When you film it, it looks easier than it actually is.
that's probabaly a harder blue but in some places it could be a black
@@sidneysullivan6145 as someone who's skied that specific run before, it's steep. even on a mountain that overrates many trails like northstar, this one is definitely a black
That is easy no matter what
Is this trail is steeper than challenger?
I'm jelous. That ski resort appeared so quiet and empty. Such think doesn't exsist in the southwest.
Telluride is your best bet... beautiful skiing, never any lift lines
Oh boy!! I scroll down through the comments and read all the wannabee winter Olympians with their bullshit commentary.
Top job young man, you looked so comfortable and confident on those skis.... brilliant!!
JayElle a person with a tamed ego finally
This kids got great control and good parallel turns under his belt, even though the video is probably sped up at points, but he definitely is getting it down. It looks like a very easy black, but all in all for a kid his age this is great! Great to see young kids this energetic about skiing. I can only imagine what he will be like in ten years from now!
His skill is excellent !!!!! You should be proud of your son !! So talented !!!
Nice to see these days kids starting to ski at early ages.I didn t had the chance to start skiing until i was 14 years old.But one thing for sure: I f you put your boots and ski once you are a skier for the rest of your life.
calin vasile I started skiing when I was three
I skied when I was five but now Im a really good snowboarder, been only doing it for 8 days and went on my first black diamond
calin vasile I started when I was 4
I started when I was 42. Not much fault of my own though having lived in Texas and Louisiana my whole life until I was 40 coming to Alaska. But 14 is not old, LOL! I'm almost 50 and can manage single blacks
That is so true, man! I never had gone skiing in my life till I was about 22 years old and now I don't ever want to snowboard again, I was terrible at it and I can tell you this if I tried to snowboard again I'd imagine I'd be worse. Skiing is so awesome and smooth if you're real good at it.
i could ski black diamonds when i was seven... barely!! i would just go in a strait line surprised i did not crash. great vid, great skier!!
Kids a great skier none the less.... Great job dad, keep up the good work.
What a great skier for 7! Nice form!
Doesn't look like a Colorado or Montana slope in terms of difficulty, but the kids got skill in all the right areas. He has solid S-turning, great braking, and excellent control.
WOW!!!! Your kid is an amazing skier!!! Who knows he could be a future Olympic gold medalist in skiing!!!
A camera never makes justice to the angle of a slope. It always looks less steep then it actually is, and then all the keyboard skiers come and say it's not black, it's an easy run, and would just freeze when they are on top of such run. Props for this father's kid, teaching him from an early age.
All true, but if you were ever at Northstar you'd know that this is not a true black.
That was legendary!
What a joy to watch, Brilliant!
Max is an excellent skier...excellent form...hard to believe he's only 7 ! Thanks for sharing.
I snowboard and is started like when I was 5 and now I'm 18 years old, I started doing the double black diamond at age 9. This kid did well great job.
I’m proud to see that he’s not pizzaing down the whole run I’m 14 and he gives me a run for my money even tho I just go straight down and only stop if I have too this is impressive
What the Heck this kid is awesome !!!! only 7 he should be really proud of himself
Thank you for making me realize that i will never be that good because i live in Oklahoma with no SNOW.
Good job kid. Loved skiing that young too. Looking sharp.
Ignore the haters, the wee man has got rhythm and style, well done. People are too keen to knock a kid with hateful comments. shameful!!!!
Lol I talk about skiing all the time and my friends yell at me for calling black diamonds fun. I've been skiing since I was three years old. It's awesome!!
sophthemuffin what does this have to do with this video other than you both are skiing dub blacks
What a great little lad!
For all of you saying this is not a black diamond, the GoPro he is using actually stretches the view so you can see more. Doing this makes the incline look smaller. Making more look visible is the main goal of GoPro.
Usually there are not so good kids -- but this kid is amazing
What a legend
Wow... He is amazing
Oh nice I live that run
Kids techniques is great. Keeps his chest and hands out front and lets the skis flow.
Dude amazing!
That's a bad little dude! Nice video...
He is so cute !
Kid thrashed it... Way to go..
He skiis as good as me and I'm 15. Good job kid you have a natural talent and will probably be in the x games by my age xD. Keep up the good work!
Wow he is tallented! Such controll
Future Olympian right here
Great! My daughter is skiing too!
Great work kid
At Northstar, some slopes are proper blacks, and some are mostly blues. This is Tonini's right? It is a fun run, however, it is mostly a blue. But I have to say, a seven year old doing this. I was around the same age when I did this slope. Never the less, I'am very impressed. Especially because his technique is fantastic going down this slope. Good job Max! :)
All the haters on video the steepness doesn't look that steep at all. By that second drop that turned right I can assure you it was a black diamond. Props to this kid I'm 19 and went snowboarding for my first time today and I at least fell 10+ times.... Hardest trail I went was the easy blue slope.
Started to ski when I was 11. I would be scared shitless to do this.
I wish that 1 day I will be able to do 1 black run as him :')
When North Star has powder it has some amazing trees. PS. It usually has powder all the way down to the base and almost always at the top. The trees next to trail they are skiing has some nice chutes and glades.
I thought my local black diamond was easy, now it looks hard
For a 7 year old he is damn good but that hill is not a black Diamond maybe an easy blue
Dude, they should make him a character in SSX. His control is just amazing..
Love how dad fixed his helmet
I've de toneri at northstar. It's one of the easiest black diamonds but still props for doign it so easily.
great job!
He’s going to be pretty insane
The mom and dad must be really proud
Alexandria Cillo
most likely yea
This kid is fricken awesome
Nice video.🖒
so fluid, great hip control also, hell be a bad dude one day
This kid has amazing form
The day I'm seeing this the likes are 888
Oh BTW that was great sking 👌
im 11 and ive been skiing sice i was for and hes actualy doing realy wel for his age
if you like english studys this is awfull to look at.
daily dose of nightmare fuel Dad *studies *awful and he is 11 give him a break
Emily Bonthrone Wow, i never noticed. You can read numbers, insane!
thomas bodiford wow, you are 11 and you can't even spell "well".
thomas bodiford well* four*
When I was about 3 years older than this guy, I skied Outhouse, a long steep black with a ton of moguls. Then we got a powder day. Skied it and it was a bunch of powder on top of hard stuff. Pretty much would just ski, and whenever I fell I was just like “I’m gonna chill for a minute.” Luckily I only fell a few times.
Love
Nice!!!
Oh I love northstar
You can tell that the way he skis... Something looks wrong about to me. But he is 7 years old so good job!
Lol this is like the Niveau when I was 5 I live in Switzerland and go to the ski club
Very nice skiing, way better than I was at seven, but there aren't any true black diamond runs at Northstar. Even with occasional moguls.
I have skied at North Star and that run is easy.
Lol my friend thought he’d ski like this after an hour but instead he looked like a new born giraffe
Once when I did ski school we finally started terrain parks and well everyone else flew into some trees...
Good job
Happy new years!
I rode down my first double diamond at the age of 3
MLSGaming HD more like fell down
MLSGaming HD yeah you probably slid down it.
How? on your ass or head? :-)
BREAD BATH BS
that kid is a beast i have only been skiing sence i was 4 and i am 9 now
thats not a black slope it looks like a green!! haha joke its around an easy red or hard blue
A red slope?
+Dengaroo In Switzerland for example Blue is equal to the American Green and Red is equal to the American Blue. So in the US: Green, Blue, Black Diamond, Double Black Diamond
In Europe: Blue, Red, Black
+Absolute Freedom it depends on where in the US you are. Some of the black diamond runs in our local resorts are like blue in some of our other resorts. I see a lot of variation from resort to resort
+brittany watts that was black, but because of the camera angle it looks like red. In reality that hill looks a lot steeper.
+markmd4 exactly. i just posted a video of my 8 year old last week going down Cornice at Mammoth. its definitely black diamond but the video angle makes it look a little flatter
stly'n away, very nice
COOL
That looks like a hard green or easy blue at my resort !
Lel camera makes it look easy too! I can do single diamonds easily too for some reason they are easy... that kid did good!
I just did my first double black on march break
Well alright then, I've been skiing for 9 years ( 14 now) And he's better then I'll ever be ;-;
10 years later I wonder how good he is now lol 😂
This is the Crosscut run at NorthStarAtTahoe ski resort. It is a very short easy black at the top then Blue and Green all the way down to the chair lift. Most black trails at North Star At Tahoe ski resort are easy.
I started skiing when i was 5
OMG. He is going to be in the Olympics when he is older
That looked like a blue square, trust me, I went on a black diamond when I was 8 or 9, and it was extremely long, skinny, and steep, nothing like what the show in the video
I can handle the blacks at my local ski resort sugar mountain. The ones out west are much more difficult this kid could probably ski circles around me and i have about 5 years of experience. Im 18 btw. Also any idea on his bindings?
That was me when I was 7 too
on cameras slopes dont look as steep going down but you know a crazy slope when you see one
He skis really well better the me wen i was 7
That is equivalent to the greens/blues where I ski
I'll give him credit for his skill though no offense, even though this is Tahoe... i dunno what kinda black slope that is. If he descended a black slope over in Snowbird, Alta or Jackson Hole, then that would be truly exceptionnal. On all these places, that slope is definitively a green slope not more. But that's just me who grew up in Switzerland and skiing out west. The kid's got confidence though and he's the kinda guy who'll find his style naturally. Keep it up!
damn this kid skis better than i walk
woooow so hard i was hitting double blacks at his age
He did a nice job, but I dont know if I where I go has different standards but when I go to Colorado and Utah this is a green
winter is almost here!!!!
That place looks fun I'd love to go where is it
damn, look at all these haters lolol
People that goes to various mountains SHOULD know that black diamonds varies from mountains to mountains.
