Oh yea there was movie with the Scooby-Doo gang and Kiss my nephew was curious to who they were and thought they were made up just for the movie so I showed him a video of the actual band and he like them lol he's 9 years old almost 10
I truly appreciate growing up in the 70s and 80s. Didn't realize how much I took it for granted until I have met or have seen younger people hearing the classics for the first time.
Jay you like the 70s just as much as the 80s You just not have connected the dots The Bee Gees were at their best in the 70s So was kiss Led Zeppelin , And I wanna rock and roll all night is from 1975 Baby
Original lineup (the only one that matters) was: Paul Stanley (the Star Child) rhythm guitar/vocals, Gene Simmons (the Demon) bass guitar/ vocals, Ace Frehley (the Spaceman) lead guitar, & Peter Criss (the Catman) drums. They were my first concert in 1975 at the Fabulous Forum in L.A. (I was 8 years old).
👍👍 Eric Carr took Peter's place in the 80's until 1991 then it was Eric Singer, they were awesome, but Peter will always be my favorite, 👍😁👍 They have also had 4 different lead guitarist from '82 to 2002, Tommy Thayer was the last to come in that I remember, 👍😁👍
Gene Simmons (The Demon, the tongue) has said in many interviews that KISS was all about delivering a show that they wanted to see. The Pyrotechnics, the glam, the energy! This is the kind of show that they wanted to be in the audience for. Furthermore, who else could write and perform the lyric, "You pull the trigger of my Love Gun"!
Lead singer Gene Simmons made Oprah blush in an interview. Known for his tongue she referenced a book that made comment about his tongue. When she asked him how long his tongue is, he answered with a smile and said long enough to make me your closest friend. I almost fell out of the chair laughing

@@MooreCEJr actually, Paul and Gene switch on lead vocals on the Kiss songs they'd made, some are sung by Gene on lead vocals and some by Paul And there's also a few that would feature Ace Frehley or Peter Criss singing lead vocals, such as "Shock Me" sung by Ace and "Black Diamond" sung by Peter
“Detroit Rock City” is another banger from them. Gene Simmons family had a reality show on for a few years called “Gene Simmons: Family Jewels” starring him, his model wife, and two young adult children, Nick and Sophie. Was an interesting insight into his managing his business empire, managing his relationship and reputation, and being a Father.
"YOU WANTED THE BEST... YOU GOT THE BEST ! !" KISS is just .. well pure performance ! Pure ENTERTAINMENT ! "Rock And Roll All Night"... They deliver for their fans at their concerts ! It's not called the KISS ARMY for nuthin'
There was a time in the 70s when nobody knew what KISS looked like without makeup. When they went out in public, they would cover their faces with a scarf or something. They would have done well during COVID. I remember it used to drive me crazy not knowing what they looked like. Finally, in the 80s they washed off the makeup and revealed themselves to the public.
Yeah it was 1983 when the public finally saw their faces, after 10 years or so of never revealing their features. It was a big mystery, because they were HUGE at that time lol
Paul and Gene tested positive for Covid in the past week and have had to cancel a month worth of concerts. As they are both in pretty good physical shape and were vaccinated, they should recover and be back soon. I believe they are on their "Last" Final World Tour.
This was such a big hit back in the day! They always had their make-up on back then and were never seen without it for the longest time! They also were known for the biggest stage shows!
I first heard of kiss in the 70's. The tongue and blood guy is the bass guitarist, Gene Simmons. The lead guitarist with the big V-shaped front is Ace Frehley. Paul Stanley is the other guitarist, and the drummer is Peter Criss.

That was the 70's personified, the range of rock n roll acts was crazy and I enjoyed the HELL out of it!! 45 years ago this month I saw KISS for the first time.
Lucky bastard. I've seen The Who, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Supertramp, Iron Maiden, Status Quo, AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Metallica...but never Kiss, and they're one of my favorites.
Kiss are probably one of the most unique rock groups ever. You might also want to check out: "Hard Luck Woman", "I Was Made for Loving You" and "Beth". Perfect rock music!
I just saw an interview with Gene Simmons and he said he hated doing the song I was made for lovin you lol, he said its a good song but when Paul wrote it he gave Gene a girly part, he didnt really sing in it 😆😆
wow, the 3 softest, most UN-characteristic KISS tune recommendations possible! WOW! Please do NOT react to those. If you want to know KISS, watch Love Gun, Detroit Rock City and 100,00 years!!
hard for me. Nobody after Queen can measure up. Wasn't Cher married to one of these jokers? I know the guy that sticks his tongue out cut the membrane under his tongue making it appear longer. Technically it is I guess. Not melodic enough for me.
Kiss started out in the early 70's and this song was from that time frame. This video was put together in the 80's and is a mish mash of old (70's) and new (80's) footage. Kiss did not let themselves be seen without makeup until they did a big reveal on MTV in the 80's. It was a huge deal because we fans had never seen their real faces before! Looking forward to yall exploring more of their songs. ☮❤🙏🏻

Take it from a true kiss fan, 45 year of listening to them since I was 5 in 1975. There are two songs you have to react to. First is the 1975 live promo of Black Diamond, and second is the live 1996 MTV unplugged of I Still Love You. This will show you how they have stood the test of time and have made great music with great stage presence.
Definitely a “70’s band. In 1975 they played in Birmingham AL and our high school was almost empty because almost every body when to the concert ( our town was about 90 miles away). I missed it because my Dad thought it was too rough for me. Detroit Rock City is another really good one, also Beth, and I was made for loving you. Kiss ruled my teen years.

This song was our Rock and Roll anthem for the 70's. Kiss were average musicians but their stage shows were over the top! I've seen them live a half dozen times over the years, always an experience!
The original line up had “it”. They were killer musicians. Ace is what gave them that it. Add the live show and it was the greatest show on earth at the time. There was no MTV or RUclips in 1975 but I was content as a 15 year old staring at that Kiss Alive Album Cover then later the kiss alive II album cover while listening to my Kiss records ala Robin Zander
Probably the most memorable concert I ever attended circa 1980. I nearly got trampled and the fans all but destroyed the stadium but it was an amazing experience all the same. The tongue, the blood, the snake ... but don't forget the SHOES!!! Talk about iconic. They've been big since the 70s and, as far as I know, they were performing until just a couple of years ago.
The lead singer of 10 years is cousin were both from Knoxville Tennessee remember when we did writing on the wall we partied in jessies basement i had the pictures on my phone but lost them
Yes, the original version from Destroyer. The engine noises give it much more grunt and the music mix is much better than the radio edit or later remixes.
Keep in mind, this was their stage persona, & they wanted to be different, & stand out, & their makeup definitely did that for them, however, that does not take away from the fact, that they were an incredible hard rock band back in the day!!! I would love you to react to their song Beth, and I was made for loving you, to show you they had different styles to their music......
“Duece”, “Let me go and Rock-n-Roll”, “Strutter, Fire House”, “Nothin to Lose”, “C’mon and Love me”, “Parasite”, “She”, “Watching You”, “100,000 years”, “Black Diamond”, “Rock Bottom”, “Cold Gin”, “Detroit Rock City”, “King of the Nigh-time World”, “Ladies Room”, “Love Gun”, “Calling Dr Love”, “Shock Me”, “Hard Luck Woman”, “Tomorrow and Tonight”, “I stole your Love”, “Beth”, “God of Thunder”, “Shout it out Loud”, all these consist of their first 2 live albums and with the original lineup please and live video no studio
@@samuraidarryl you are 100% on point with that statement :)... Everything I say here is just my opinion, not everyone will agree but I'm cool with that :)
Regardless of later members of KISS, or all four originals, each one has left their mark in history with the band and helped create the best rock band ever.
Rush as well. Took them on several of their first tours, and even though they were exact opposites off stage, they meshed. Simmons might of been the biggest dick at times, but he fought for new bands, like Rush and Angel.
Saw Van Halen open for Sabbath just as they were releasing their first album. Eddie Van Halen had us standing on our chairs as Eruption signalled a new guitar master was in town. Great opening set through their entire first album, they were shockingly good out of the gate. Sabbath had to put out or be embarrassed, Tony Iommi is never embarrassed and War Pigs reminded all who the headliners were. Wow, what great times...
@@leehanson1416 , no, but Gene produced an album for them, but it didn't go anywhere. Gene even played on it. Several of the songs were used on the first VH album to sell, and ended up being fan favorites. You can watch the video on youtube of the recordings.

This song came out in the 1970's (1975), Kiss Members are: Gene Simmons {Bass Guitar, Vocals}, Paul Stanley {Rhythm Guitar, Lead Vocals}, Peter Criss {Drummer, Vocals}, & Ace Frehley {Lead Guitar, Vocals}, was re-done in 1988 when Smashes, Thrashes, & Hits Album came out, then again when the band celebrated 40 years (4 Decades of Decibels), & their final album when they played in Las Vegas.
KISS was primarily an “album” band originally with their album sales doing much better than their singles, but their biggest hit(and only top ten) was a ballad written and performed by Peter Criss “Beth"

KISS was my very 1st concert in 1975, I was 11. Saw them again in their farewell tour in 2020. I still have every one of their albums. I even named my 1st daughter Beth after their song.
Kiss broke out big with their Alive album in 1975, and I remember rushing down to the record store to buy it when it was released (I was 15). Every cool kid in school had that album. Saw them a few years later in concert with Rush, what a show. They were more of an experience than anything else. As an adult, I don't listen to their records anymore, but I would love seeing them in concert again.
My mom was a huge Kiss fan. I've seen them many times in concert & I took my daughter @14 (she's 22 now) to a concert where she experienced Kiss & Motley Crue. Awesome sharing that experience with her. They're an iconic group. Enjoy more Kiss. Be well. This was a later video when they took off makeup & only Gene & Paul are the originals.
One KISS song you might wanna check out for vocal range is “I Was Made For Loving You.” I grew up listening to KISS, but when Paul Stanley (the one with the Star on his face) hits the high notes, even us headbangers had to stop in our tracks and go, “Whoa!”
KISS is the first band I ever loved, bought their first album when I was in first grade, my friends were listening to the Carpenters, I was listening to KISS, they thought I was crazy! Seen them a bunch of times in concert, best live show ever! First time I ever seen Queensryche they opened for KISS, 1984, Y'all need to do more Queensryche, I dream in Infrared please.
Gene Simmons was the long tongue guy. He had a reality series not to many years ago with his family. You'd love it This song came out from their 1975 album... BRING VINYL BACK! WOOOOOO
There’s NO act like KISS. This song and Twisted Sister’s “We’re Not Going To Take it” Were the two rock anthems i grew up with. Ironic bc both groups were pilloried by the critics.
@@poppad331 Agreed. KISS was (is) all about marketing -- just watch any Gene Simmons interview. They break the music down to it's most simplistic form and bleed it for all it's worth. Diehard KISS fans will defend the talent of the band members until their face paint sweats off, but at the end of the day it was formula rock stage theatre and made them VERY rich (and of course iconic). I recall a reality TV show that Gene Simmons was involved with (in Britain I think), where he selected a small group of limited-musical-talent students from a middle school and coached them to compose a rock song that they would perform live as the opening act for a rock concert several weeks later. His point was to show that anyone could do what he did.
KISS, im proud to say, was part of my youth. They are a 70's crown jewel. I had the belt buckle, t-shirts and albums. Gene Simmons, the tongue guy, is actually a very reserved man. KISS is very patriotic and big supporter of our Armed Forces. KISS was originally Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley, Peter Criss and Paul Stanley.
Did you know that the song Beth Kiss rewrote was called Beck was a song Peter Criss 1st band Chelsea did if you never heard it a ruff demo of it is on You Tube type in Chelsea song Beck!
"Beth" is Great song by Peter Criss about juggling family life and one's commitment to rock and roll. Original KISS line up are Paul "the Lover" Stanley on lead vocals and guitar. Ace "Space Man" Frehley on lead guitar. Gene Simmons "the Demon" (long tongue and spitting blood) on bass guitar and Peter "the Cat" Criss on drums. This was nearly my first intro to real rock and roll in the 7th grade. Been a fan ever since!
It's not really BY Peter Criss. It's by his old bandmate Stan Penridge, who recorded the original version, then called "Beck", on a demo with their previous band.
@@erikthompson619 Yeah and it is about making fun of the Band member for getting so many calls from his girlfriend, LOL! And yes, it was first recorded as "Beck" by "Chelsea" I believe!
Kiss wasn't really that heavy. They were mostly theatrical, but they knew how to sell it. (Pun intended) A toned down Kiss song you guys might like is Sure Know Something.
I have seen KISS twice, the first time was without makeup when Eric Carr was the drummer. The second time was when Ace and Peter reunited with Gene and Paul. KISS never disappoint with their live shows. You need to listen to Peter Criss sing "Beth". I am sure Amber will enjoy the song.
The story I once heard is that Margaret Hamilton(The Wicked Witch of the West in "The Wizard of Oz") met KISS and loved their special effects, especially the explosions. "We had flash pots in The Wizard of Oz, too."😊
Gene Simmons is the blood/tongue guy! Doesn't drink or smoke, very smart businessman, is into opera, art, etc. It doesn't match his stage persona however he was a BIG TIME ladies man! Lol
I commend y’all for doing a Kiss reaction! This is a very deep rabbit hole to jump down! They started in the 70’s in New York City. Paul Stanley lead guitar and vocals, Ace Frehley lead guitar, Gene Simmons on bass and Peter Criss on drums. That was the original line up through the 70’s but Peter left snd was replaced by Eric Carr who died not long ago. This video is from the 80’s but the song is from the 70’s. Kiss has a fan club called the Kiss Army and Kiss is notorious for merchandising! They sell a Kiss coffin that you can be buried in but it’s waterproof so until then you can fill it with ice and use it to keep your booze cold at parties! They also started producing other bands and helping other bands get started like Van Halen! They did a movie called Phantom of the Park, they did cartoons with Scooby Doo, Gene Simmons has done a lot of acting roles including his own TV series, and now they’re on their Farewell tour!
Guys, KISS was my first concert when i was a freshman in high school. It was about 1976. It was right in there prime. it was there first tour. It was mindblowing to say the least. I have been wondering why i have never seen a reaction to a KIss song. Please do more. It was crazy to go for many years without ever seeing their face. It was a closely guarded secret.
Each of their costumes was a different persona. Gene Simmons was the Demon, Paul Stanley was the star child, Peter Criss was the cat, and Ace Frehley was the space man.
And these were the original KISS members. "Beth" was sung by Peter Criss, it was his song. To this day KISS will not perform the song because Peter left the band. Amazing song though.
My cousin is a BIG KISS fan. It’s his favorite band. He’s seen them I don’t know how many times, probably more than I can count. We saw them about 2 years ago. It was my first time going, and we had a blast. Such a great performance 💕
Gene Simmons for his demon persona is a very conservative guy. He has never done any drugs or ever drank any liquor. He is a financial genius and entrepreneur. Great family man too!
LMAO ... not remotely close to being a great family man ... Absolutely brilliant businessman, but it took Shannon threatening to leave him and making him truly believe she meant it before he finally married her. Oh and his own kids were less than glowing about dear old dad ... the son said Gene treated Shannon badly and his daughter said he was "A lousy dad." Simmons was a serial cheater and in his own words ... “In the interest of full disclosure, I have been married for more than five or six years. For 29 years … I was a jackass,” Simmons told Us magazine. .... for almost 30 years he refused to marry Shannon Tweed. Their kids were both adults before Gene married Shannon. He bragged claiming to have slept with 5,000 women even claiming he had photos of all. No doubt most of that was BS but 500 or more with the way women threw themselves at rockstars during the 70s and 80s wouldn't be a stretch.
I had the pleasure of meeting Gene Simmons. Got his autograph and picture taken with him. Can not tell you how nice he was to take all the time needed to let us get all the pictures and stuff a group of us wanted. He was in no hurry. And, Gene loves the USA, and has honored our troops, and man, he knows the Bible. Oh, and he knows history. He's a brilliant man! So glad ya'll did this song! Thanks!!
When she interviewed him on her show Oprah Winfrey asked Gene Simmons exactly how long his tongue was. Without missing a beat Gene answered, "Long enough to make me your *very* best friend." :)
From someone that is 52 years old... They became one of my favorite bands when I was 5, and heard the songs "Strutter" & "Duece" from their debut album (vinyl! LOL) in '74. I've seen them in concert twice in those 47 years. They're still one of my fave's for just Great "Pick-Me-Up, Feel Good, Get-the Party-Started" Rock'n Roll!!
YAAAAAASSSSSSS!! KISS Army!! Gene Simmons is the one with the tongue and blood. He was actually a teacher before the band took off. The lead is Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley on guitar, and Peter Criss was on Drums.
This video is showing them with and without makeup - J&A may not realize that at the time this song was released (1975), KISS appeared NOWHERE out of makeup! We didn't get to officially see their faces (and not the original lineup) until 1984 when they publicly "unmasked" on MTV.

The video shows all the various eras of their career. I saw them live in 2003 and they went back to the makeup, and I'm glad. It made it easy to know which member was where and doing what. When, you're in the crowd and almost 2 states away in an outdoor amphitheater, it REALLY made a difference. Aerosmith was there that day also, and the difference in being able to recognize who was doing what where on stage.
Gene Simmons had a reality show on television at one point called Gene Simmons family Jewels. I have to say this is one of the few reality show families where the kids seem more normal then most others and don’t seem or act spoiled. I believe at one point Gene was a School teacher, correct me if I am wrong, and he doesn’t smoke or do drugs.
I have been a fan of KISS SINCE 1976!! Paul Stanley. Gene Simmons. Ace Frehely. Peter Criss. Original members!! They are even in the guiness book of world records!! Check it out!! 9:22
Kiss have tons of songs and they put on a great live show. Detroit Rock City, Heaven's on Fire, Unholy, Strutter, God of Thunder just to name a few. Paul Stanley ,Gene Simmons, Ace Frehely, and Peter Cris were the original 4.

KISS is my all time favorite rock group. They got together in the early 70’s & they are still together. They are actually doing their “End of the Road” tour. My favorite is Gene Simmons (Demon) who breaths fire & spits blood. He is one on the founders of the group (along with Paul Stanley) he sings & plays bass guitar.
Kiss was the first concert I ever went too. I remember they came to Portland, Ore and there had been a mistake made that their staging accidentally got sent to the next venue so to make up for it they played for longer and set off every firework that they had brought with them. Still remember them goofing off on stage and actually playing a short country sounding rhythm it was rather hilarious. Also remember the lead singer of one of the other bands at the concert, I think it was Whitesnake, throwing a bottle at someone back stage because the mike kept giving feedback when he was trying to sing.
Some of my favorite KISS songs are "God of Thunder". "She" and "Cold Gin". They are a MUST live video reaction because you have to see the makeup, costumes and theatrics.
They have so many great songs. But I have to say KISS is one of those bands where you definitely have to watch their live videos. They're an amazing band, but the show they put on they just crank it up when it's live.
I took my 23 yr old son my 33 yr old son and nephew to their 3rd time my first time seeing KISS. I think the oldest is 72. They did not disappoint it was an awesome rock show. It was postponed twice but finally Oct. of 2021 ATL best show ever.

It was huge when they took off their makeup for the first time and we saw their faces. Gene Simmons is a tremendous business man and has kept the band making a good living still today. We all got to know his family through the reality show Family Jewels. Probably best reality show about a family to date. Watch “Beth” for the softer side!

Try the "Cowboy Song" really great rockin song/The boy's are back in town/ or Jailbreak live version are there other bigger hits. Been enjoying your videos, congrats on your new family addition.
Great old school rock, “god gave rock and roll to you” was another great one from them. It was also the song in a Bill and Ted movie. Worth checking out 👌🏼👌🏼

@@MooreCEJr actually, Paul and Gene switch on lead vocals on the Kiss songs they'd made, some are sung by Gene on lead vocals and some by Paul
And there's also a few that would feature Ace Frehley or Peter Criss singing lead vocals, such as "Shock Me" sung by Ace and "Black Diamond" sung by Peter
I loved that show. It was fun. He FINALLY married Shannon!
Gene is just an egomaniac who had no real clue about committing to a woman!!! But the rest of the band was awsome!!!!
It was a big mystery, because they were HUGE at that time lol
.... and everybody screamed...lol
Their faces were never covered, you could always see them. Is extrapolating what pink skin tone would look like really that difficult? 😂
Paul and Gene tested positive for Covid in the past week and have had to cancel a month worth of concerts. As they are both in pretty good physical shape and were vaccinated, they should recover and be back soon. I believe they are on their "Last" Final World Tour.
@@Jdoe21018 Van Halen did a lot of demos and solos, which were later copied by Ace, for Love Gun
This was such a big hit back in the day! They always had their make-up on back then and were never seen without it for the longest time! They also were known for the biggest stage shows!
Can't not love Kiss but try Gladys Knight doing Rolling on the River. That woman was as amazing show.Wow
Amber…. the one you were referring to use to be a teacher!! Makeup and tongue!
I first heard of kiss in the 70's. The tongue and blood guy is the bass guitarist, Gene Simmons. The lead guitarist with the big V-shaped front is Ace Frehley. Paul Stanley is the other guitarist, and the drummer is Peter Criss.

I was a charter member of the KISS army back in the 70s and damn proud of it!!!!!
Sent my $5 bucks in 1975 KISS Army!!!!
I was 15 when I got my first kiss record and it was the first live Album Kiss Alive but didn’t see them till I was 17 in 77’ the Love Gun Tour.
Kiss was a phenom in the 70s....almost 50 years later....like kiss or not. They remain one of the biggest and most influential bands of all time
Pick live songs. That original footage was from 75 76 77......kiss came out in 73..
.kiss influenced all those 80s bands.
Kiss are probably one of the most unique rock groups ever. You might also want to check out: "Hard Luck Woman", "I Was Made for Loving You" and "Beth". Perfect rock music!
I just saw an interview with Gene Simmons and he said he hated doing the song I was made for lovin you lol, he said its a good song but when Paul wrote it he gave Gene a girly part, he didnt really sing in it 😆😆
Add Detroit Rock City to the above and you have a great KISS playlist.

hard for me. Nobody after Queen can measure up. Wasn't Cher married to one of these jokers? I know the guy that sticks his tongue out cut the membrane under his tongue making it appear longer. Technically it is I guess. Not melodic enough for me.
I love seeing younger people discovering classic pop and rock music. I envy you two getting to hear all of this stuff for the first time 🤟
Kiss started out in the early 70's and this song was from that time frame.

My first concert was was KISS 1977, My son's first concert was KISS 2009.
Yeah, in 1976 I was 13 and we drove 70 miles to Sweetwater Texas to see KISS, my first live concert. Awesome!
Ace was definitely better than average
Probably the most memorable concert I ever attended circa 1980. I nearly got trampled and the fans all but destroyed the stadium but it was an amazing experience all the same. The tongue, the blood, the snake ... but don't forget the SHOES!!! Talk about iconic. They've been big since the 70s and, as far as I know, they were performing until just a couple of years ago.
Ace Frehley is one of the most underrated guitarist in rock.

“Detroit Rock City” is a song you should really listen to by KISS
Yes, the original version from Destroyer. The engine noises give it much more grunt and the music mix is much better than the radio edit or later remixes.
They usually open every concert with Detroit Rock City.
Got to agree detroit rock city any live version

R.I.P. Eric Carr, cutest, sweetest little Fox……taken way too young.
KISS was the iconic party band. So over-the-top and pure FUN. Man, I miss those days….
Fun fact: Kiss found Van Halen and gave them their big break
Rush as well. Took them on several of their first tours, and even though they were exact opposites off stage, they meshed. Simmons might of been the biggest dick at times, but he fought for new bands, like Rush and Angel.

Great opening set through their entire first album, they were shockingly good out of the gate. Sabbath had to put out or be embarrassed, Tony Iommi is never embarrassed and War Pigs reminded all who the headliners were. Wow, what great times...

They had another top 10 ballad Forever
Beth was my personal favorite

As is Hard Luck Woman :)
Beth was written and performed by Peter Criss; to his wife.
@@CPny65 It was composed by drummer Peter Criss, his friend Stan Penridge and producer Bob Ezrin. It is Kiss' number 1 song of all time.
I saw them in 75 with Rush as opener. Never forgot how awesome that show was. Even though I'm in my 60's now, Black Diamond still rocks!
Same experience. Remember the Kiss Army?
The stories that Alex and Geddy have about them touring with KISS, are awesome.
Dude my bother home from the army with that album he never saw it again
Speaking of Van Halen, Gene basically discovered Van Halen and helped produce their first album. Those two bands will always be connected.
And both formed in the 70s
My mom was a huge Kiss fan. I've seen them many times in concert & I took my daughter @14 (she's 22 now) to a concert where she experienced Kiss & Motley Crue. Awesome sharing that experience with her. They're an iconic group. Enjoy more Kiss. Be well. This was a later video when they took off makeup & only Gene & Paul are the originals.
Another rabbit hole you can't go wrong with KISS. They have so many great hits you are now part of the KISS army
You'd love it
This song came out from their 1975 album...
BRING VINYL BACK! WOOOOOO
There’s NO act like KISS.
This song and Twisted Sister’s “We’re Not Going To Take it”
Were the two rock anthems i grew up with. Ironic bc
both groups were pilloried by the critics.
because it's kids Rock n roll. When you're more famous for your image than your music...it says a lot.
I’m sure you already heard but since it song came out in 1975 it’s almost 50 years old… I still have the album because I was 12 when it came out
KISS, im proud to say, was part of my youth.
They have a ballad named Beth. The vocals will blow your mind
Was just thinking what would happen to Amber's baby brain if she heard Beth after hearing this, lol.
Peter Cris originally sang Beth.
He did it acapella when I saw them on the 1st reunion tour.
I was just thinking the same thing David
Did you know that the song Beth Kiss rewrote was called Beck was a song Peter Criss 1st band Chelsea did if you never heard it a ruff demo of it is on You Tube type in Chelsea song Beck!
Beth would be a great song for you to react to next after this song. You go from high energy to a very mellow song.
They’re still out there rockin it in their 60’s and 70’s

I love KISS but Beth is my absolute favorite.
Kiss began in the 70s. Their concerts were insane. Flashing lights, explosions, fire breathing, excellent music.
The story I once heard is that Margaret Hamilton(The Wicked Witch of the West in "The Wizard of Oz") met KISS and loved their special effects, especially the explosions. "We had flash pots in The Wizard of Oz, too."😊
Their first album "KISS" was released in 1970 and it's one of the first ones I owned. Amazing group. I'm glad I grew up listening to them.

Oh and his own kids were less than glowing about dear old dad ... the son said Gene treated Shannon badly and his daughter said he was "A lousy dad."
Simmons was a serial cheater and in his own words ...
KISS always wants you to feel you got your money’s worth at their concerts🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
They ALWAYS gave 100% to the show. I never felt cheated at their concerts like a few of the ones I have today.
Thanks!!

Let's just say Gene Simmons' tongue was probably as popular at the after-party as it was in concert. Or so I've heard.

Paul Stanley ,Gene Simmons, Ace Frehely, and Peter Cris were the original 4.
That’s the original line up, it’s now Tommy Thayer instead of Ace on guitar and Eric Singer on drums instead of Peter
@@Islendingar And Eric Singer replace Eric Carr who passed away.
Vinny Vincent, Bruce Kulick and Mark St. John have also been members.
This audio version is from KISS ALIVE !(1975). Their first LIVE album. I saw KISS in 1977 at the Selland Arena in Fresno, California. It's still the best concert that I've ever seen. Fantastic show !
I was there too rocked out go bulldogs
Beth is a great song by KISS, a whole bunch softer than their norm
Yes, Amber would love that one. 💖
Yep, and hard luck woman
Love KISS! I wanted to see them live so bad when I was a kid. But there was no way my dad was taking me to that concert. So I did not get to see them until 1996, when I was 32. But at least I finally got to see them. They did not disappoint.
Same here, but I didn't get to see them till 2001. Original lineup, though. Fantastic show!
@@55itsme I had tickets to the 2001 show. I was taking my son. I had to have knee surgery, so my hubby had to take him. My poor hubby is not a fan and was miserable. But, our son had an amazing time.
That's too bad, my parents went with us to a KISS concert in 1977 (I was 13, little sis 10, little bro 7). They sat discreetly behind us and had a great time!
Peter Criss their drummer sings lead to their greatest ballad Beth, and also another great song Hard Luck Women. Great voice!
Gene Simmons is one of the lead singers. His persona was the demon. Crazy! He was known for his ginormously long tongue!
IS known. Hasn’t changed.
I remember as a young teenager they use to say he had a cow tongue sewn onto his and back then we all Believed it
@@susanwheeler1019 Hahahahaha!
It said every woman wants a Gene Simmons. If you know what I mean. LOL

" I was Made For Loving You" is a MUST! You'll really be able to hear their vocal abilities better!🤟🤟🤟
Some of my favorite KISS songs are "God of Thunder". "She" and "Cold Gin". They are a MUST live video reaction because you have to see the makeup, costumes and theatrics.
Ace's ending guitar solo on the Alive version of Cold Gin changed my life. 💜🎶
I'm so glad I went back to watch your first KISS experience! The seed was planted!
Seeing Kiss live is the ultimate experience! You have to see them live to understand! They are going on tour again .You should try to see them!
A true RnR show. A live KISS concert has to be one Good Time.
SHOCK ME live from 1977. You can see Ace's smokin' guitar in his solo.
My favorite

Seen them in concert in the early 2000's and it was the best concert ever. Absolutely amazing and fun. Great song pick and reaction!! 🙂
It was huge when they took off their makeup for the first time and we saw their faces. Gene Simmons is a tremendous business man and has kept the band making a good living still today. We all got to know his family through the reality show Family Jewels. Probably best reality show about a family to date. Watch “Beth” for the softer side!
Yeah, it was funny, we all got a look at them and immediately wished they'd put the make-up back on! 😁
One of my favorite KISS song has always been Nothing To Lose.
KISS was an extraordinary concert to attend, they would play for hours. I 2nd the "Beth" recommendation truly a great song!
Ever heard of Thin Lizzy? Try the "Cowboy Song" really great rockin song/The boy's are back in town/ or Jailbreak live version are there other bigger hits.
Been enjoying your videos, congrats on your new family addition.
Alice Cooper had his gimmick in the same era, Ozzy Osbourne had his gimmick... The 70s/80s was an era for the "rebellious" rock-group.
Alice is still using his gimmick
Alice was the first.
Great old school rock, “god gave rock and roll to you” was another great one from them. It was also the song in a Bill and Ted movie. Worth checking out 👌🏼👌🏼
That song is a cover originally done by Argent
I am going to see them in Tulsa in October! There are still tickets. You guys should go. You will not regret it! Fabulous show! SO much fun!
there are SO many things I could say about Gene's tongue and the stories.... but no. This is a family channel!!!! LOL It was great to revisit KISS, haven't heard this song in years!
Uhh hello Oprah roflmao
