“I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well, maybe but it’s true. So what’s motivating me?? I had a huge tumour removed summer 2016. However, despite not being able to walk for a few weeks, and feeling generally awful…. It has made me create and do what I love! It wasn’t an easy time but I won’t let fear dictate my life. I didn’t think ‘why me’, there are plenty of horrific issues people have to deal with…it’s not always smooth sailing. It’s true when you hear, ‘Life is short’, the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and try to practice gratitude everyday…It’s so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…we are all specks of dust…Also, thank you for all your support. It means a lot. I have suffered from anxiety from the past and self-confidence, (yeah hard to see now right) didn’t think I was ‘good, or worthy enough’ but I feel I have a new lease of life, don’t really care as much and want to show you guys what I have! : ) You are all awesome and without you, there would be no channel.

ok some backstory here! Jeremy is a theater guy through and through hes been in this biz for a long time, check out newsies/bonnie & clyde and his other stuff, hes so insanely talented and my favorite voice on bway right now. Miscast is an annual event where bway stars sing songs from roles they wouldn't get cast in for whatever reason, be that gender, age, etc, i suggest watching the three little boys singing schuylar sisters from hamilton at miscast a few years back, its adorable and they're very talented! waitress is still running in nyc, and sara was actually there when jeremy gave this (heartwrenching) rendition and he said he was really nervous but obviously he killed it. i've actually seen waitress a few times and this is still my favorite version of she used to be mine, but i also reccomend watching jessie mueler sing it on the tonys, she was the original jenna and is absolutely breathtaking.

...and let us not forget that they all perform, at Miscast/MCC for free and all proceeds go to "Broadway Cares/Equity fights AIDS".....so it is a great night of great Broadway singers doing songs from musical theatre that they could never do in the show, due to gender, usually and they have fun with the songs, as someone wrote, the 3 boys singing the "Schuyler Sisters" from 'Hamilton'...it is fun and funny and for charity. A great combo. This song, I believe, could be sung by any man with a change of pronouns as the feelings that Jenna sings about here, in the show, pointing out her defects while mentioning her pro's....wishing for a different road that she knows she can never take, removing the part that she is pregnant by an abusive man who is incapable of loving. Remove the word, "pregnant" however, and all the things she sings about in this song are felt by every person, male or female. I don't feel that this song must be gender specific. You should watch from one of the "Broadway Backwards" events, as they are done yearly, even during the height of Covid, where they used past songs into an actual story about a guy, isolating at home in NYC, frightened and lonely......with some songs shot individually form where the actors were isolating from and edited together, with messages about where to find help in between....ended on such a positive note using about everyone on Broadway at the time, ringing the song from "Dear Evan Hanson", "You Will be Found".....and you get goose bumps. Anyway, in all these shows, there is almost always a group of gypsies singing the "Cell Block Tango" which is always so, so funny. Anyway, went on too long, but this is all done for charity and please, check out the 2020, I believe, event and watch the lonely, rather desperate young man sing, along with everyone from Jenn Colella (Come From Away) to Bernadette Peters. Amazing! Please, check it out. The UK did a version of the same song, "You will be Found" for #CheerUpCharlie a few years back, using singers from the West End..and it was so emotional. It was posted on Anti Bullying Day.

I've been following him ever since joyful noise . I said I got to find out more about this guy. I found out he's from corpus christi next to my home town. That made it sweeter.
Shelley Jackson I found him through watching the Newsies Broadway film, finally putting a face to the voice I'd been listening to on the recording was nice. It's cool you practically share a home town! He seems like such a down to earth dude, and his voice is just wonderful!
It's not just his voice but also the passion he inserts and that smile , once more he is skilled and authentic. not the run of the meal pop artist. I really didn't care for over the rainbow,i always thought it was a long song, but seeing him in that black leather jacket pouring his heart into that song brought tears to my eyes and gave me a new look at the song !

I absolutely adore Jeremy Jordan's voice! He was in the Broadway version of the Newsies which is a favorite of mine. You should check out more of him, he can sing so well.
Jeremy Jordan is beyond words...I can’t even emotionally fathom his talent. I highly recommend his It’s All Coming Back To Me cover and Let It Go. He’s a beautiful Elsa.
Jeremy Jordan is my hero; he's an extremely talented man, so talented that he got the main character role in a dance-heavy musical despite not being a very good dancer! You should totally check out his renditions of Run Away With Me, Total Eclipse of the Heart, Losing My Mind, The Answer, Santa Fe, and Raise a Little Hell!!! He's an absolute powerhouse, and the reason I'm going to attempt to break into the acting industry; after all, if a guy from big city Texas can do it, why can't a girl from small town Texas?

I was fortunate enough to see Jeremy perform in concert a couple times, but certainly not enough times. I got to see him in a play recently but I am patiently waiting for him to come back to Broadway as a musical lead. Because he can act and sing the hell out of everything and anything, he plays the emotional beats with his vocals so well.

Waitress is the name of a movie from 2006 or 2007 (I don't remember) by Adrienne Shelly. It was then made into a musical later with Sara Bareilles writing the songs, this being one of those songs.
As for the supergirl part... Supergirl is a CW series that Jeremy was in (I think he has left now), but honestly, it's a tragedy that whoever wrote the title chose Supergirl as "the thing Jeremy's most famous for". In the theatre community, I'd say he's more famous for originating the role of Jack Kelly in Newsies and - who are we kidding - miscast is primarily directed at the theatre community

Jeremy Jordan is actually a broadway actor that at this point was on a TV show called supergirl. But this was just him singing a song from the broadway show Waitress that he is currently playing the doctor in on Broadway!

I love watching these reaction videos. Seeing other people enjoy the same parts that I do; and also they're professionals saying, "Yes!" because the performer has done something well, where I'm just a fan who doesn't know what I like about the performance, just that I do, and that I think it's good. It's like a less stressful version of sharing a video with your friends, where I'm not worried they're gonna think it's dumb, but will instead validate my opinion that it's good.

Oh, Supergirl is a DC comics character, she's Supermans' cousin. Supergirl is one of the shows on the CW network that's part of the Arrowverse, like the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the superheroes on the shows crossover & join up at times. There's Arrow, with the Green Arrow & Black Canary & other characters from the comics starring Stephen Amell & John Barrowman plays a role in it, there's the Flash starring Grant Gustin, Supergirl starring Melissa Benoist & Jeremy Jordan costars & there's Legends of Tomorrow. I'm telling you this because there was a fantastic musical episode which brought together all of the singers & dancers on the Arrowverse shows & featured original songs written directly for the show & characters, it was amazing!

Hi Rebecca, nice to see that you have found the wonderful talent that is Jeremy Jordan. I can see in the comments that Jeremy singing It's All Coming Back To Me Now has been highly requested. A really great choice. Not a song you would normally associate with a guy singing. Jeremy does it splendidly. Apart from him in CW's Supergirl, and some of the awesome live performances I've seen. I haven't seen the other shows that's mentioned in the comments. Many of the stars of these CW shows can sing really good too. Melissa Benoist (Supergirl) and Grant Gustin the Flash were both in the show Glee.

Waitress is a Broadway play that I think is heading to London, it's about a waitress in a diner who's in an abusive marriage & wants to run away but has no money. She drunkenly has sex with her husband & gets pregnant but decides to keep the baby & definitely get enough money to leave. She's known in the town for her incredible pies which she learned how to bake from her Mom, who was also unhappily married, in the play & in the songs they used baking as escapism. I should say I've never seen the play or the movie, it was a 2007 movie with Keri Russell, but I've heard the soundtrack. Sara Barellies wrote the soundtrack brilliantly, she even played the role for a while. There's a recording on RUclips you should check out with Sara & the incredible Jessie Mueller(who was playing the role, she was also nominated for a Tony for her performance as said Waitress. She won a Tony later I believe) performing She Used to be Mine. It's called Waitress (Broadway) - "Opening Up"/"She Used To Be Mine" (Live @ The 2016 Tony Awards). You should also listen to the soundtrack, it's amazing & it's currently on RUclips in full with lyrics, the song The Negative is funny & another song What Baking Can Do is excellent, I mean most of them are but those are the one's I've heard most frequently.

Jeremy Jordan was a Broadway star & was nominated for a Tony before he moved into screen & TV roles, I think he still does Broadway at times. He was in a show called Smash, it was a musical series, while also acting in Newsies on Broadway.

Yep- coming here in February with Katherine McPhee in the lead role.
He is one of my favorite people. If you want to listen to more of his covers, I highly recommend the Beauty and the Beast cover he does with his wife. Also just watch the movie The Last Five Years because he and Anna Kendrick are fucking brilliant together. He's also in the Broadway show Newsies which was recorded and its on Netflix. He acts in Supergirl and does sing in one musical episode but thats really it for the singing in the series aside from some karaoke scenes. He's done a lot of live performances though, his Disney medleys bring tears to my eyes because they are so perfect and make me feel all the feels from my childhood. Honestly, he's amazing. He can sing literally anything and sounds better than the original.

Thank you for making the point about how much hard work being a performer takes. So many of the young people in my life watch things like "The Voice" and assume they just have to get on the show and get picked, to be successful. Jeremy was also a singer in the Greatest Showman ensamble.
