its very ironic you say this for jeremy jordan was the english voice singer for the demo album of death note the musical. Mr. jordan was light yagami who is a character that tried to become a god in the story essentially.
Should definitely react to Jeremy singing “Ben’s Birthday Medley” the amount of different songs he sings and the fact that he doesn’t know the order or what songs Ben has chosen is amazing! Imagine been able to sight read the songs while singing perfectly in front of an audience... the thought of that is petrifying to me 😂
Jeremy Jordan: *sings his soul out like the absolute king/legend/angel he is* Steven: "Oh my god", "Those harmonies", "What?" Theatre kids in this fanbase: *Absolute flood of suggestions and requests and everything JerJor has ever even cameoed in*
I can’t tell you how much JOY this video brings, and I’m not kidding I watch this at least twice a week without fail. I’d love for you to react to James Bay - Simply the best cover from BBC radio!! Absolutely amazing
Omg Jeremy Jordan is like one of my favourite performers, can't wait to watch this reaction (You should totally react to him singing Santa Fe from Newsies!)
HELL YES, once you dive into broadway you' won't be able to stop, and there's so much material out there that i'm sure you'll enjoy!! please consider broadway/theather songs reactions!!
So from what I've heard, here's how we got THIS performance from him: There are a couple different versions of this song - a 5 minute (radio edit), and the full 7 minute. Jeremy wanted to do the shorter version "because that would be the sane thing to do", but the people that put this show together really wanted him to do the full song. He caved and said "fine, but I'm doing it MY way." And HIS way was to bring the comedy into it, lol; if he was going to do the full song, he was going to have a laugh while he did it.
Btw, Jeremy Jordan and Ana Kendrick have starred in the film version of the stage musical The Last Five Years. You should check that out! It's AMAZING and so underrated
OMG! I was waiting to see what Jeremy Jordan video you were reacting to when you tweeted the videos going up. This is one of my favorites and I loved your reaction! You should definitely check out him singing "She Used to be Mine" from the musical "Waitress." Get ready to break out the tissues for that one. And there's a video floating around (at least I think there is. It could just be audio) of him singing "The Greatest Showman" at 54 Below that you should definitely check out!! I'm a Broadway GEEK (former performer so....) so if you need Broadway musical video recommendations hit me up! :)
Oh, you're about to fall down the Jeremy Jordan rabbit hole! You should check out his version of She Used to Be Mine from the musical Waitress. The song is meant to be sung by a pregnant woman as it is about her and her pregnancy. There is agala called Miscast where Broadway stars perform songs from roles in which they would never be cast and this was Jeremy Jordan's choice. He also sang Let It Go from Frozen there, in a different year I think. Also, similar to this video, he sang Don't Speak from No Doubt. It's hilarious, you should definitely check it out! Thanks for the reaction!
Wait ur kidding me. Finally some Jeremy Jordan content. We entering that broadway content. Love Stevens content so if we add broadway to it I will keep that patrion forever if he starts watching full musicals. I AM SO FREAKIN HAPPY (Jeremy Jordan and Aaron tveit were my two original broadway favs so this was a great beginning)
Jeremy Jordan is a Tony-nominated Broadway performer. He has done TV and movies as well. You could check out the stage version of Newsies. I believe it's now on Disney+. He also did the film version of The Last Five Years. He's also all over RUclips in videos of other performances. He sometimes performs with his wife as well.
Shoshana Bean singing "She Used To Be Mine" is probably the finest example of Broadway singing you can find on youtube: the emotional honesty, the physical connection and presence, the storytelling, and then just insane vocals!
The fact that I've watched this clip from YT too many times now and then seeing Steven randomly reacts to it 👀 To that patreon that requested for this, you're doin the Lord's work for us theater nerds. Thank you
54 Below performances are so wonderful. I love the Disney Princess nights. surprise Zachary Levi performance of "I See The Light." so good. Rachel Bloom's "Poor Unfortunate Souls." awesome. and my personal favorite: Jason Michael Snow & Nick Adams - "Gaston". absolutely HYSTERICAL!
That Gaston version is definitely one of my all time favourites, its so funny! If you want to really cry have a look at antonio cipriano doing "breathe" for the Pronoun Showdown.
Jeremy Jordan is one of the best Broadway singers out there - not only because of his pretty much perfect voice, but as you mentioned, he acts every song and makes you really FEEL it. If that's one of things you're appreciating you should check out his version of Sam Smith's I've Told You Now. It's a pure pop song, but he instills so much emotion in it that you feel like you're watching the whole thing play out. I think it might even be better than the original!
Was watching this during dinner and my eldest asked why I was so excited. Told them I was watching a cover of a Celine Dion song and they responded; who? Aa save me child; I have failed you as a parent if you don't know Celine! This was a great version. I have only seen one of his songs before and still think of him as the Supergirl actor.
I hope you’ll do more Jeremy Jordan videos someday, this was such a joy to watch! I recommend Don’t Speak and Santa Fe ❤️ and generally, more broadway please! There is so much hilarious and insanely talent-packed stuff out there!
Jeremy is such a versatile and talented performer in so many ways. I HIGHLY recommend Santa Fe from Newsies, it reduces me to tears every single time. His Disney medleys and just...anything he ever does! Also, completely binging your videos today, so glad I found this channel!
How much fun is Jeremy!?! Fantastic entertaining performer who seems to have the audience hanging on every word, breath, and even body movement. Have you ever watched any performance’s by the artist “Von Smith”?
THAT KEY CHANGE YESSSSS 9 million views? 1 million of those must be mine. It definitely deserves more views. Jeremy is honestly incredible. I adore this cover and I hope one day I can see him live on Broadway. He’s been in the show Supergirl, and they did a musical crossover episode which he sung in (not nearly enough). There are definitely more videos on here with him singing which are amazing.
i saw Jeremy Jordan and i immediately clicked. i am so thrilled that you reacted to this video. like honestly broadway artists are so talented i feel like you would love them
I too dont know much about Broadway, and then I saw this amazing performance what a great voice, performance, intensity, humor.. plus I loved watching your reactions made it all so much fun and interesting. Great job. Prescribed!
Broadway /musical theatre is such a special experience from the storytelling aspects to the vocal talent and the wide array of music genres that can be present. It’s wild. I can’t wait to see you watch more though, I think you’ll have a lot of fun with it.
I love love love Jeremy Jordan!! Never thought I would see you react to him, so I'm so happy to see this. Jeremy has such a great stage presence like you said. I've never seen a bad performance from him. Would love to see you react to more of him!
BROADWAY, AT LAST!!! Oh my dude, there is SO much the theater community can recommend to you I wouldn't even know where to start. If you fall down this rabbit hole, I will be here for every video.
I first discovered Jeremy Jordan on Supergirl they did a musical episode and then I decided to look him up and well I looked all the singers of Supergirl up and turns out they got her all sing and then I became a fan of Jeremy Jordan
Jeremy Jordan has been in quite a few Broadway Productions including Newsies, Bonnie and Clyde, and Waitress to name a few. He recently Starred in Little Shop if Horrors (off Broadway).
The Tony's behind the scenes version of Wake Me Up When September Ends by the American Idiot cast. They play acoustic in a dressing room. It's amazing! Your reaction is so pure and I love it X3
Stevennnnnn I'm always comenting about how much i love all the pop punk albums you have on the back of the videos, and with this video right here you have just become the ONLY reactor that have content about my 3 passions: pop punk, taylor swift and musical theater!
Oh lord. I just ran into this video and for someone who hasn't seen much broadway to stumble his way into a Jeremy Jordan performance where he can act freely... Yeah. Just singing Jeremy Jordan can sing the pants off anyone. Then him on one of these little stages just being the showman he is? It's where he shine the most. He's a king of bringing in the comedy to it as well. so hell yes
I love seeing people get into musical theatre 🥺 I wanna see you react to It All Fades Away from Bridges of Madison County. That song floors me every time (like I have to lie on the floor and stare at the ceiling while I listen to it) and there's a cool vid of them in the studio recording it.
Jeremy Jordan is INSANE! I agree that you should listen to his version of 'She Used To Be Mine' - but maybe listen to the original (by Sara Bareilles) first? And then react to a Dear Evan Hansen - You Will Be Found performance, with Ben Platt.
Please do more Broadway react! I was lucky enough to see Jeremy live (at this exact venue called 54 below because it’s below the old studio 54 club which is now the 54 street theatre). There are ton of videos from cabarets at that place. They are true storytellers. Also check out SMASH from NBC, he has a big part in season 2. Or Newsies on Disney plus, he originated the role of Jack Kelly.
Jeremy and his wife are Broadway stars, he also has a career as an actor, I think his last role was on Super Girl. He is fantastic and he has some videos singing with his wife and those are stunning! Beauty and the Beast is really cool

Should definitely react to Jeremy singing “Ben’s Birthday Medley” the amount of different songs he sings and the fact that he doesn’t know the order or what songs Ben has chosen is amazing!
