- C class ship with hidden turrets and max cargo while still achieving 100 mobility.
This was done with the beta-patch, so the hab used was a "Nova Galactic All-in-One Berth 2x1 A Empty" where I placed Research lab, Pharmaceutical lab, Weapon workbench, Spacesuit workbench, Industrial workbench, Tracker Alliance terminal and some Storage Crates, Weapon Racks and other decoration. There is no decoration yet placed on the bridge. The All-in-One Berth was choosen as it comes with a Bed and Galley embedded into the wall, which saves some space and the Kon-Tiki B-600 Bridge already comes with 6 crew slots so a Control Station was not needed. In the video you can see that all crafting stations are accessible.

Rather than have a walk-up intro to each of the individual workbenches (which we all know what they already do), would have been nice instead to have a build guide. Oh well
The workbench demonstration is just to show that all of them are useable. If you place them too close to each other or to the ladder they become blocked and you can't use them. If you arrange the workbenches differently and place them closer to the ladder they become blocked and you can't use them, so the workbench demonstration is just to show that all of them are useable if you arrange them like that in a 1x1 hab. The maneuvering thrust of your engines affects the mobility of a ship and and how heavy the ship can be before the mobility drops. The build uses 6x SAL-6830 Engines which are the strongest engines in the game and which allow the ships total mass to go up 4275 mass while still having 100 mobility. This build uses this mass budget to stack a few dozen "da Gama 1000 Cargo Hold" modules as they have the best cargo per mass ratio. So "max cargo" just means that this build tries to stack as many of the best cargo modules as possible while still keeping mobility at 100. With skill and crew bonus this ship can carry over 14k cargo.
I have like 6 different character builds and my Space Trucker "Kurt" is my absolute favorite. I play him the most. Max out the Commerce skill, all of the Outpost Engineering/Management skills, and some Piloting/Shields skills and take to the Staryards and start fillin' those orders! So fun. Blaring the Machine Head album by Deep Purple also helps the experience!
