Solid drafting, free agent pickups, and not being too stubborn to move on from a mistake. They moved on from Wentz quickly and kept drafting WR instead of forcing bad players like Reagor and JJ into roles.
Well, Reagor and Arciega-Whiteside were two bad draft choices considering other players still available that played the same position. But dumping those two bums and Wentz for whatever they could get were important moves - you can’t fix a mistake until you admit there was a mistake made.
@@stevebabiak6997 they sure were but it didn’t really hurt them much. They cut bait and got Devante and AJ instead of being stubborn and trying to make them work. Every good team makes mistakes, but the good far outweighs the bad. If they had Jefferson, would be straight up cheating.
The Philadelphia eagles are the perfect definition of BALANCE. This 2022 Eagles squad would absolutely DESTROY the 2017 Eagles (the year they won the Super Bowl). Like it’s not even close. This team is absolutely stacked.
Very well put together Bro! Spot on about literally everything you said. I was a Wentz guy his first 3 seasons. I kinda thought he didn’t get a fair shot esp after Nick won the SB MVP. Howie also wanted to draft Russ Wilson but waited to get him & didn’t want the same thing to happen with Hurts & the whole City is happy he saw what a lot of us fans didn’t see. Let’s gooooooooooo 🦅🦅🦅 Btw.. The Vikes are a couple of good hits on the defensive side of really contending! I believe you could win with Kirk as long as he got help defensively because this years Vikes defense was atrocious 🤦🏾♂️ good luck this upcoming season!
The saints need to never answer the phone when howie calls. He somehow took their 1st round pick and they still decided to give him Gardner Johnson before the season started.
Honestly they have no holes on their roster they also win at the LOS an even though Hurts is turning into a viable passer they constantly use his running ability to pressure the defense as a Bears fan I HOPE the Bears can do the same with Fields
Roseman is doing the exact same thing as he did last time. Problem is when he pays the QB and that QB has to make up the difference in skill. Wentz had a better season before the injury and we all know how that turned out... Then again, to be fair Wentz did get hurt again and there was quite a lot of resentment between coaches and him, so maybe Hurtz will work out.
This eagles team is not only good. It is Historically good, no weaknesses on the roster, the only doubt people had coming into the year was QB and Jalen Hurts is our MVP!!!!! Eagles have players headlining every major offensive and defensive category Rushing Tds , Total Offensive yards and points scored, sacks , pressures, INTs, you name it.. It's just a Dominant group top to bottom.
I think, the 1985 Bears is the model of how to build an NFL team. They won the Super Bowl without needing an expensive QB that nearly bankrupts the team. You just need an average QB with a great run game and great defense.
The most important core of a NFL team in my opinion is a offence and defensive line. The eagles completed that very idea. Also id argue Jalen hurts is what the Baltimore ravens wished Lamar was, a good scrambler but also a good passer.
If it wasn't Mahomes playing for KC this Superbowl would be a blowout. The only reason KC would win is solely because of their QB the Eagles are loaded
In reality i think every Greek organization does make an effort, it's just the stereotypes and bad rap that gets thrown around about us that makes it appear to be that way. Most people hear the word fraternity and think of drunk party dudes who commit sexual assault crimes on the regular, when in reality many of us are involved with community service, leadership positions, and focus on academics and creating a brotherhood amongst our chapters. And as far as sororities, many people believe them to be full of the "mean girls" stereotypical girls, when in reality, they're kind, and focus their efforts on philanthropy and academics as well. Diversity has never been a problem on my campus though, so maybe i'm unaware of the problems 🤷♂️

As a Giants fan this one hurt, but you share my pain! It sucks to admit it, but yeah, they have a stacked team and I breakout in hives whenever you mention Haasan Reddick, that dude is a game destroyer! Damn this sucks!
Siriani reminds me a lot of Matt Lafleur just in the way that his team is so good I can’t tell if he’s a good coach. I want to see Lafleur do well without Rodgers because most teams would go 13-3 with prime Rodgers. Sure Siriani has been successful this year but how can you not wonder how he’d do if he didn’t have the best O line and D line in the league. It’s not hard to make a functional pass offense when you can account for 3+ seconds of a secure pocket.
As talented as Roseman obviously is, it seems unlikely that the number of homeruns and the depth of quality talent at nearly every position the Eagles have are Roseman's doing alone. He has also built a quality scouting staff and an analysis of those personnel and the marching orders, or general approach they are operating under would be a very interesting because the level of personnel success displayed by the Eagles is definitely a unicorn in any sport. Basically, I like to know, how the #@$& they are doing this at the level they are doing it and can it be duplicated?
They find incompetent GMs and fleece them, lock up developing players on cheap contracts before they become superstars, pick teams they think will suck and get their draft picks, and just manage money insanely well.
@Julian A its not that you are generally wrong, its just you, like the OP, make sound like putting together a great team is like ordering items off a restaurant menu. . .I'll have one of those, and two of that, and a side order of edge rusher. What i want to know is who, what, and how make them so much better than any other GM and scout staff. Whats the secret sauce?
@@ReidVV - Howie has learned from many along the way. Joe Banner was in Philadelphia when Howie began, and he learned that the salary cap management was important, plus Banner had a practice of avoiding paying players over 30 years old (Howie learned that and adjusted that approach to be cautious when paying older players). From Andy Reid, the O line and D line must be strengths of the team, and a franchise caliber QB is a must. From Chip Kelly, size and speed can’t be coached. Howie has even admitted he has learned from Sirianni, that there is value in connecting on a personal basis with those around you. All along, team owner Lurie sends out the “team culture” message. So the challenge is to recognize when a nugget of wisdom is being placed before you, and grasping that nugget and then incorporating it into the overall plan.
@@ReidVV - there is more of course. Howie has assistants and staff, and you will find that many of the higher level ones have been interviewed for positions on other teams. The scouting people can’t be omitted or forgotten. And he has learned that draft mistakes (even those from early rounds) have to be jettisoned for whatever value they might get back. Most recently the highest profile picks that were dumped would be Wentz, Reagor, and Arciega Whiteside. So there is a combination of being smart in the first place, realizing that there is still more that can be learned from others, and being willing to make adaptations. A good example of adaptation that goes back to the early Andy Reid years is the value of wide receiver talent; those early Andy Reid Eagles teams had meh wide receivers, until they brought in Terrell Owens and saw the difference talent can make. So they have drafted many wide receivers in early rounds (DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin were the first early round tandem), and some of those were misses (two of those players who were dumped). And don’t forget Howie’s “we want to be a QB factory” statement. That translates into having an understudy to the starter who will develop into a solid backup and possibly even displace the starter; trading away the expensive starter can help with salary cap so there is more to this. And the 2022 40whiners showed that QB is important.
If the eagles run the ball, dominate time of possession, leave the cheifs offense in the side line then it should be good day if ur an eagels fan but the script says 37-34 so it gon be a shootout

We’re not. Going to have a load of free agent after this season. Fletch, suh, Jospeh, graham, hardgrave, sweat, Chauncey, bradberry, tj, and kyzir will all be free agents and that’s just on defense
It might have been ok to think the chiefs would lose by a little but "smoked"? You aren't a chiefs fan, then. Mahomes has only been smoked once, and it was when he had no O line.
Eagles always used high draft pick on O-Line & D-Line. Been doing this since Andy Reid was coach, nothing new. That's y they're always in the playoffs. Control the lines, u control the games
I would disagree with your statement, because the 2013 Seahawks was the best team made. The reason is Seahawks held 16 of their 19 opponents that season (including playoffs) to 20 points or less. Also on the Super Bowl their defense made Bronco’s look like their playing highschool level.
@@AtlasAdvice254 They didn't win just because of Mahomes. Defense kept them in the game 1st half, only allowed 11 points second half. Running game took off in the second half. Special teams basically had the game-winning play. People were just sleeping on the Chief's roster.
Goes to show how most organizations in the NFL are terrible at developing talent. The NFL has a talent development problem and Organizations need to be held more accountable when evaluating players
@@detectiveharris8772 - the NFL doesn’t have minor league affiliates like other sports, so they basically have to develop talent while they are playing on the active roster or while on the practice squad. The NFL basically relies on college football to develop talent - that’s why the draft choices mostly come from the more competitive college ranks.
I think the Eagles could honestly run away with this game. However do I think the chiefs can’t win, no they can definitely win. But the only way I see the Chiefs win is if the Eagles actively mess up, if the chiefs play there best, and the eagles play there best, the Eagles will win.

Not sure about the 49ers Eagles game being the same. The 49ers were all over the Eagles in terms of field position in the first half and had nobody to score for them. That game goes into the half tied or a 3 point game with Purdy, easily. Then you never know what happens in the second half, because the 49ers certainly wouldn't just give up. The Eagles lucked out in this game. They cannot be as lax in the first half against KC.
Yep that’s why I keep saying it won’t be that easy against Kansas City (unless a catastrophic injury takes down Patrick) they’re going to make Philadelphia work for that win and Patrick will probably make that defense work especially if the chiefs play a bit conservative (take time off the clock, throw semi short passes) and get the defense tired Then once the Eagles defense is tired then bring on the borage of scoring I’m sure Andy has a good game plan on how to exploit the Eagles defense Just be careful what you wish for Eagles fans the outcome may not be what you’re expecting or wanting
@@maxpayne7312 As an eagles fan, I think our defense could very well collapse. I just think there’s a high chance that the chiefs defense collapses as well, leading to a shootout.

Spot On 🏈 thank you for sharing your meta knowledge 🏈✌️❤️
The Philadelphia eagles are the perfect definition of BALANCE. This 2022 Eagles squad would absolutely DESTROY the 2017 Eagles (the year they won the Super Bowl). Like it’s not even close. This team is absolutely stacked.
😂😂
Very well put together Bro! Spot on about literally everything you said. I was a Wentz guy his first 3 seasons. I kinda thought he didn’t get a fair shot esp after Nick won the SB MVP. But his 4th year (2020) was horrible. I honestly was done with Carson early in that season. Obviously Jalen was drafted that year & when he came in for Wentz Vs GB our team looked entirely energized & that’s even I knew Hurts Szn was in full force. Howie also wanted to draft Russ Wilson but waited to get him & didn’t want the same thing to happen with Hurts & the whole City is happy he saw what a lot of us fans didn’t see. Let’s gooooooooooo 🦅🦅🦅
Btw.. The Vikes are a couple of good hits on the defensive side of really contending! I believe you could win with Kirk as long as he got help defensively because this years Vikes defense was atrocious 🤦🏾♂️ good luck this upcoming season!
That trade with the titans was so good the other gm got fired after AJ put it on em lol
It's a great time to be a Philly sports fan. GO BIRDS
The saints need to never answer the phone when howie calls. He somehow took their 1st round pick and they still decided to give him Gardner Johnson before the season started.
Remember we got Malcolm Jenkins from the saints too
Win or lose, the Eagle's proved they beling among the Elite teams. Should be a great game
You forgot about Cam Jurgens, Kelce's successor.
SKOL - I love the Flores hire. We will be back.
What's the over/under on Heinz having a commercial made special for Super Bowl 57?
The "nice" after 69 combined points got me 😂😂😂
This eagles team is not only good.
😂😂 gave up 38
holy shit. Kamara staying on his feet a 1:30 is the most insane thing i've ever seen.
I think, the 1985 Bears is the model of how to build an NFL team. They won the Super Bowl without needing an expensive QB that nearly bankrupts the team. You just need an average QB with a great run game and great defense.
Thank you for the eagles respect, gotta build that team around a rookie or a vet willing to take less for the team like Brady
The most important core of a NFL team in my opinion is a offence and defensive line. The eagles completed that very idea. Also id argue Jalen hurts is what the Baltimore ravens wished Lamar was, a good scrambler but also a good passer.
Great analysis im hoping my panthers can draft Stroud and use the same type of blueprint 💙
There may be a video out soon about your team
@@FootballAnalysis1 THAT WOULD BE AMAZING 🖤💙 I’ll have notis on that’s a must watch fs I’ll share it with all my Panthers friends

Philly 38-17 even with the refs helping KC

The chiefs are a team that shows u how to draft great rookies and win a superbowl with 11 rookies as starters
If it wasn't Mahomes playing for KC this Superbowl would be a blowout. The only reason KC would win is solely because of their QB the Eagles are loaded
Okay but the same could be said about philly
And Kc won.

Teams still run the ball. The Bengals,Eagles,Ravens,Giants,Titans,Broncos,Saints,Falcons,Dolphins,Vikings,Raiders,Patriots,Jets,Commanders,Cardinals,Steelers,49ers,Browns. What do most of them have in common? They are playoff/super bowl contenders.
@California Dreaming more than the Steelers browns raiders commanders cardinals dolphins and titans
Half of these teams aren't going to be contenders for awhile.
Also ppl don’t realize but for offense AJ is only person that new whole offense been drafted or been there for lil while now. Most ppl think we done after this season we already have most of stars under contract and the core super young
It’s not hard to make a functional pass offense when you can account for 3+ seconds of a secure pocket.
if executives can get into canton Howie should be a HOFer one day!!!
@@stevebabiak6997 Wow. Nice summary. Well done.
Lets go Eagles!
Jordan Davis is Reggie white 2.0 mark my words this kid is a beast
The Thumbnail couldn’t be more accurate for the Title ….. absent of defense !!
Funny how it turned out for them this year
If the eagles run the ball, dominate time of possession, leave the cheifs offense in the side line then it should be good day if ur an eagels fan but the script says 37-34 so it gon be a shootout

@Chris Ethridge yes sir it was good game tho

Don’t forget absolutely stealing CJGJ from the saints for a bag of chips and then him leading the league in picks most of the season 🙃
I'm a chiefs fan and I truly think we're about to get fucking smoked.
The Eagles look to be a dynasty in the making.
We’re not. Going to have a load of free agent after this season. Fletch, suh, Jospeh, graham, hardgrave, sweat, Chauncey, bradberry, tj, and kyzir will all be free agents and that’s just on defense
You aren’t a real fan if you have such little faith in your “team”.
You aren't a Chiefs fan. Also L take.
True
The eagles also traded up and jumped Dallas to snag Goddert the year after Witten retired. Cowboys were 100% going to take Goddert….
I would disagree with your statement, because the 2013 Seahawks was the best team made. The reason is Seahawks held 16 of their 19 opponents that season (including playoffs) to 20 points or less. Also on the Super Bowl their defense made Bronco’s look like their playing highschool level.
Tale as old as time, build from the lines out.
well the nfl is the not for long league so we will see we were saying the same about buffalo last year and prasing the rams blue print so we'll see
I think eagles are different just cuz of the stockpile of picks they have as well with the depth
The Rams approach is definitely not geared to long term success - spending your way to wins eventually finds the salary cap in the way.
Looking at this Eagles team pisses me off as a Ravens fan this is how the Ravens front office should’ve built around Lamar
Honestly unless Mahomes and Kelce have the games of their careers, then there’s zero reason why this should be a close contest.

Keep building the O-line and let’s build this dynasty!
As a cardinals and Panthers fan. What do you even think watching Hasson Reddick. You guys wasted his elite talents
Goes to show how most organizations in the NFL are terrible at developing talent. The NFL has a talent development problem and Organizations need to be held more accountable when evaluating players
Cardinals did at first by putting him at ILB was a bad move but they put him at pass rusher after that. He had double digit sacks for both of them
@@detectiveharris8772 - the NFL doesn’t have minor league affiliates like other sports, so they basically have to develop talent while they are playing on the active roster or while on the practice squad. The NFL basically relies on college football to develop talent - that’s why the draft choices mostly come from the more competitive college ranks.
Eagles just dominate Superbowl winner

I think the Eagles could honestly run away with this game. However do I think the chiefs can’t win, no they can definitely win. But the only way I see the Chiefs win is if the Eagles actively mess up, if the chiefs play there best, and the eagles play there best, the Eagles will win.

Those TDs were a posterizer, basketball reference, I’ll give you that
Not sure about the 49ers Eagles game being the same.
Yep that’s why I keep saying it won’t be that easy against Kansas City (unless a catastrophic injury takes down Patrick) they’re going to make Philadelphia work for that win and Patrick will probably make that defense work especially if the chiefs play a bit conservative (take time off the clock, throw semi short passes) and get the defense tired
Then once the Eagles defense is tired then bring on the borage of scoring
I’m sure Andy has a good game plan on how to exploit the Eagles defense
Just be careful what you wish for Eagles fans the outcome may not be what you’re expecting or wanting

Pay Jalen hurts like he's Joe burrow or Josh Allen and the Eagles will be hamstrung for years to come
Joe burrow is on a rookie deal and is expected to be the highest paid qb in the nfl around 52+ mill meaning hurts is probably getting around 48-50 mill so that’s not going to work 😂
Well, they did. But the next four years of his cap hit are far below Mahomes' cap hit. The 5th year he'll have $103 million cap hit if they don't restructure.

This is proof Wentz was the problem. If you have a drama queen qb, it messes up your whole team cause the qb is supposed to be the leader. The eagles still had talent in 2020 but they had a horrible leader. Now that they got more depth and a good leader they are an even better team
Yep, gotta hand it to Howie and the owner for being so quick to cut ties with Wentz even after the contract. Any other team would have been too scared to cut the "Franchise QB" and start over.
Drama Queen? Dude just wanted competent WRs and to not be taken out behind the woodshed. Philly threw him under the bus when 2020’s collapse was ALL Roseman’s fault.
@jif Wentz was a huge fucking problem, don´t get me wrong. But the 2020 Eagles season was just a product of "Murphy´s Law" where pretty much everything that could have gone wrong did go wrong. Blew the first round pick, a stupid amount of injuries throughout the squad, O-line was banged up all year, non-existent secondary depth so had to play practice squad guys at CB, Nate Gerry was a starter, the pass rush depth was really bad, Doug Pederson´s play calling etc etc.
