First LNG Cargo shipped from Prelude FLNG

Shell, along with its Joint Venture Partners INPEX, KOGAS and OPIC, today announced that the first shipment of Liquefied Natural Gas has sailed from Shell’s Prelude Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) facility located 475kms North East of Broome in Western Australia. This shipment will be delivered by the Valencia Knutsen to customers in Asia.
The Shell-operated Prelude FLNG facility is an offshore development that will produce natural gas from a remote field approximately 475km north-north east of Broome in Western Australia.

Very cool video series. I could really do without the over-cheese ball drugstore Kings of Leon echo guitar and 140db background instrumental though. Kind of incredible that the video was produced this way. The footage itself is so cool. Just really wish there was a version without that super obnoxious, way-way too loud music.

Silly move to buy Powershop Shell...made me curious to learn why and become more aware how massively you are into fossil fuel profiteering. This video shows the massive investment that will make the inevitable transitioning to renewable impossible for Shell. Prelude might be storm safe and an engineering marvel but it is not safe from becoming a stranded asset.Apparently it is currently got problems so worse , it might become a cost to Australian taxpayers like the Northern Endeavour has become... Very sad and very unfortunate for the young child of an employee in the video,as well as my grand kids and their future climate change well being
