With the current weather disasters around the world, real estate that relies on space development is updated to capture solar and wind energy that is exposed to failures and blackouts caused by weather, insects and birds damaging solar farms and turbine blades. Many example videos, working on amazing oil platforms isolated like home confinement, minimizing space and shelter so as to ensure safety and protection from the weather, it is indeed worthy of TEAMATHON (everyone add more running marathons) to finally achieve this huge dream. Congratulations.

    • @straytrons9795

Clean energy is not at all clean. You just don't see the damage because it happens in China and Russia where the media is not allowed to go and report on the ecological disasters unfolding there. Perhaps you should study the massive environmental damage caused by China in producing solar electric panels. There is still no way to recycle those panels either. The mess of disposing old and damaged solar panels is creating an even bigger haz-mat dumping field due to the toxins involved in your 'clean solar'.
Don't get me started on batteries, tens of thousands of pages have been written about how horrible high tech battery manufacturing and disposal is to the planet.

@@toby1248 NGL it would be cool to go back to less plastic in some ways but in others it would be terrible. I would say to the degree that it can be achieved the processies should be culled down to those that do not produce co2 as a byproduct. Bakelite for example definitely doesn't but I must admit I'm out of my depth on this topic.

Nah, there's lots of oil, but lots of it is restricted. Alaska is a prime example.

I think it's been proven that some of larger reserves are in the Gulf Of Mexico. Venezuela has next largest reserves next to Saudi Arabia, and currently their oil operations are in question, perhaps to keep prices high for other reason in the industry. I'll admit this, it's a daunting task now days to recover oil, and let alone worry about prices, they took a picked a prime location to recover oil/gas from, the weather there is decent most of the year as transport to the platform for workers, and from is not a issue so it's strategic location is probably bar none in the world including refinement operations......
