Our son worked for Shell WA and went to South Korea during the production and manufacturing of such an impressive solution to a problem. He was so very proud of their achievements. RIP Klae.

$12,000,000,000, good luck recouping that! Waaay too expensive. Funny Floating LNG would have been built before, but given the extremely cold temps, the materials is the refrigeration area and cargo tanks must withstand the -160 C or -260 F. A spill on normal steel would be catastrophic, with immediate embrittlement. Can you imagine the operating and maintenance cost far offshore Australia, where supplies are an expensive supply vessel or Helicopter away?

Shell is not a government. You can bet their bean counters checked every penny. they would not have built this if they did not think it would make a profit.
