Here's Why Mini Trucks with Automatic Transmissions are a Blessing and a Curse

- This is part 2 of how I was able to resolve why the PWR button controlling the automatic transmission within my 1995 Daihatsu Hijet S110P 4WD failed to illuminate. Also the transmission does NOT shift when driven and I am stuck in FAIL-SAFE MODE. There is a transmission computer mounted behind the steering wheel and instrument/gauge cluster. Let me show you how I was able to solve these mini truck failures. Let's take a detailed look of what I did to get these things working again.

wow i have a 95 atria i thought the power button was only used when you use the 4 wheel drive and the shaking of the wheel was from the motor mounts im going out right now and drive it with the power button on we need more content like this for the kei community thanks

Yes. But not anytime soon. It's super cold right now and using my time on the other cars on this channel. For my 95 Hijet, I will change out the a/c compressor and add refrigerant in the late spring, early summer 2023. Stay tuned.

Question I have gear box Daihatsu 1995 but I want to change it to automatic how can I purchase a automatic transmission.
Try "BeForward Japan."
This is a known issue with toyotas. LS400 transmission ecu and many toyota main ECUs like in my MR2.

@@JCMFix my MR2 had a random ocational misfire, then occasional stalling. Couldn't figure it out since every time trying to diagnose it no symptoms. Then one day it completely died. Traced down to the ECU and capacitors were leaking.
@@hobolyf The occasional misfire and stalling on the initial crank is happening to this Hijet. I will change the fuel filter and spark plugs soon.
