Props for Axl stepping in like he did to help ACDC finish the tour. Not easy doing that in a band with as loyal a fanbase as ACDC. Probably one of the only singers out there who could actually pull off Brian/Bon's parts and not have it feel weird. Im thrilled to have Brian back, but Axl did a damn good job.
got to give axl some respect. he does the Bon and Brian parts very well, he is a well respected rock vocalist in his own right, and he let the band shine. Thanks for giving the fans what they deserve. Happy to hear Brian is getting back on the saddle .
It just shows how great axl is when he checks his ego and his attitude. He showed his respect and pretty much stayed in the background. He did an incredible job and seemed to really enjoy himself. Hats off to ACL Rose.
Hats off to Axl for stepping up to plate for AC DC. He was definitely the right choice. Ps. As soon as I move into a bigger home, I am buying a 60" flat screen so I can enjoy this concert up close and loud. 😃👍

This is his best most recent performance. All gnr songs he sings falsetto now. It’s sad but he is in jeopardy of losing his voice permanently. He killed it for so long and a voice can only hold up for so long when you sing the way he does
Fantastic collaboration ! Only Axl Rose could pull this off and tour with AC/DC ! Thunderstruck at 34:12 is mindblowing ! I saw G n' R in San Diego CA and he was in a wheel chair ! Still rocking though ! 🤘
Axl was very impressive in his role with the band. It was nice to see a Yank blend in so well with one of rocks' super mega bands. After all the years of terrible press from rock music critics, I was happy to see him prove them all wrong. I never considered myself to be an AC/DC fan, but this was one truly excellent show. I've never seen concert video with Brian or Bon, but the band knocked it out of the park and Axl made a great contribution. Bravo.
Compared to Scott Weiland and Dave Grohl, I would agree Axl isn't good. However, Brian's voice was shot in 1989 and wasn't any better than Axl and Bon wasn't that good either. So Axl fits in fine. ACDC is known for excellent guitars and drums, not the singers.
I’m in shock there hasn’t been an album release of all songs with Axl leading this band live. It would sell harder than any release the band ever put out ever!! And we all know it. Holy fuck that would be insane.
people that talk shit about Axl don't take into consideration that he offered to lend a hand out of his respect for the band and to avoid them several potential lawsuits while he had a broken leg and of course he had to learn lots of songs and in my opinion he did a pretty good job because you know listening Axl live is not the same as listening him here.
Saw an interview with Axel years ago where he stated Bon Scott was his hero and inspiration when getting into music! Who could ever have seen this happening, amazing and great !!!
I've never liked Axl. Until this. Axl put in his own exceptional performance while showing so much love and respect for the band. He dominated without taking anything away from them. I've lost count of how many times I've come back to this video.

AC/DC performance on the Rock or Bust World Tour, live at the Verizon Center, with very special guest "Axl Rose", in Washington D.C., USA, on September 17, 2016. The show was attended by 11,708 people for revenue of $1,423 ,688. This specific show is a milestone in the band's history because the last 22 shows were rescheduled when Brian Johnson had to interrupt the tour, with 10 shows cancelled, Axl Rose from Guns N' Roses was hired in his place and it was the first time he had completed a tour without their lead singer since January 27, 1980. Personnel: Angus Young - Lead guitar; Cliff Williams - Bass and backing vocals; Stevie Young - Rhythm guitar and backing vocals; Chris Slade - Drums; Axl Rose - Vocals. The tour ran from April 10, 2015 to September 20, 2016. It was the second most attended tour with 2.31 million fans and the third highest grossing tour with US$180 million from 54 shows in 2015, out of a total of 86 shows grossing $221.1 million for 4 million fans. Hugs.
Notice how Axl Rose never really went upstage, he always stayed back a bit? That’s a sign of respect as he’s not a member of the band and only a temporary stand in. That’s something you don’t see now a days.
Can we agree many of us watched and listened with trepidation and they didn't disappoint even though no Malcom or Brian. Stevie is a champion and Axl behaved himself. Well done fellas!
it's easy to hate on Axl...but I am happy for him...he got his shit together and was able to do this with both AC DC and Guns n Roses...pretty amazing moment in rock history.
Axl did a great job fuck all the haters!! He helped AC/DC out in a big way so that they could finish their tour so the fans could see them one last time!
This is pretty awesome that these songs are the correct Key when Axl sings for them! And he still does a great job! I hope people who saw this tour live really enjoyed it, looks like they did an amazing job!
I saw them with Axl in Columbus, OH. It was amazing! Axl crushed it! I just wish Axl would sing this way with Guns. He still has the ability when he wants to.
Props to Axl..one of the most unprofessional of rockstars, for respecting the incredible work ethic, talent and dedication of this band, and approaching the gig prepared and ready to rock.
Some of the keyboard warriors here hates Axl Rose so much but damn, those people there enjoyed the show so much. Just like watching two bands at the same time, Axl looks so relaxed here because the songs are a little bit slower.
NOPE ; And the thing is Axel had said vocal problems fairly early on in GnR history , lead to concerns many times that effected the bands touring at times yet 30years later he's shouting our bon Scott's songs, & that's a long set list, I gotta give anyone the respect to step in as front man for the greatest hard rock band ever in history, what a challenge for anyone,. HOYT !
Axl did a helluva job. Not only did he have to learn the songs and timing of a band who has been together, mostly, since the 1970's. He also had to please fans who know the songs as well as the band does. Curious to see what the future holds.
Future holds flesh being replaced. But archives will never die. That's whysky humans will be reborn, 1000s of decades to come. Just for Let there be Rock, We salute You, Made Who, Thunderstruck, Drink on me on
I've received angst over the last couple decades for 2 statements. 1. Metallica, Load was a great album, and 2. AC/DC, with Axl Rose as the lead singer, is still worth the ticket price. I stand proud and unfettered.
This fucking rocks and I am beside myself that Axl killed it the entire show. Kinda gets you right in the gut. Thank you for sharing! I am in an AC/DC tribute band and for me after watching this video and never have had the chance to see AC/DC, I am in awe...even if Malcolm is gone and Axl was singing. Rock on !
Thank you for uploading this video ! I didn't get to go to the concerts, someone added the time stamps ! Axl and AC/DC what a huge concert in rock history ! big hug 4 U !🤘
Wow, I saw the GNR 2016 show front row. And AXL was very reserved with his highs and gravely voice. He saved it for welcome to the jungle intro and live or let die mid section. But here with AC/DC it’s on 24/7 like he was in his prime. Wish he did this with his own band these days. But also he’s playing with people he’s fans of here as a stand in…so I guess he feels the need to blow them away as well. He should bring this energy to GNR shows way more! Not to mention he seem to know the lyrics and not look at the teleprompters much here or sit in one place ever really. GNR AXL is way more reserved than AC/DC.
I still say Axl killed it! You can see how much respect he has for Angus. He actually steps aside a lot. He seemed more relaxed with this than his own band.
Saw them in Columbus Ohio toward the end of the tour I was blown away by his power and vocal range with acdc.. when they pumped out if you want blood and live wire my jaw dropped.. they had so much more energy and got to go back to regular tuning
Bon Scott is one of his idols. GnR covered some older AC/DC in the early days (Whole Lotta Rosie is on numerous bottlegs). I read an interview where Angus said Axl actually pointed out a few songs during rehearsal that they had been playing wrong for over 20 years.
Imagine listening to a band as a kid. Having them influence you and subsequently your career. And then one day getting to join them and perform some of your favourite songs with your heroes. Whilst helping them finish a tour that would otherwise have been scrapped! It's dream come true stuff here. Axl always covered their stuff live and he does it very well here. It's one of his better performances tbh.
I was in the music industry for 30+ years on the highest levels. I was a headliner and a producer. I am 52 now. I can tell you in my 20's and 30's how much pain my body would be in after 1 1/2 hours of performing. I don't know if it would be an worse now, but seems like it probably would be. I couldn't figure out how I could feel WORSE, than if I had just dug a ditch for 8 hours. I suppose it was the adrenaline, and muscle usage, and tensioning, etc. as I performed. I AGREE WITH YOU, my legs hurt watching. LOL.
Quite frankly, I always wondered how in hell these drummers had all that in em. They are NONSTOP legs, arms, hands, fingers, head, back... every damned muscle. I would have massage therapists waiting for me every Monday morning when I got back in from tour. I would have had to have them travel wiht me if I was the drummer... LOL.
If AC/DC continue with Axl if Brian actually is forced to retire completely by doctors, it's understandable. Axl did this as a favor for his friends so they could finish the tour
What's amazing is he sounds like the old Axl with acdc. If you watch the GNR tour around the same time. He does not sound like Axl with GNR. He sounds better with acdc
You could feel the disappointment in the crowd when Angus didn't do the strip down during Sin City when it looked like he was about to do it. It's a shame they stopped doing that, but I understand why a 60 year old Angus wouldn't want to do that anymore lol.
i love the fact that Axl understood the assignment, most of the concert he was letting Angus in the spotlight while doing a fantastic job as replacement.
I'm 54 and I seen it when I was younger and I still can't rock and roll with them forever they are the best it don't get no better AC DC jams rocks and roll they're the best it don't get no better
I wanted so much to see any of the last 10 shows of this tour with Axl singing lead! He did a helluva job! He showed that he was still one of the greatest vocalists in Rock history!
For anyone who hates axl rose in ac/dc remember he did not steal the spot light he stood back and did not upstage the band or go after fans. And he also had to learn all these songs and rehearse I have mad respect for axl rose more now then ever.
I noticed that also, very humble to his position within the band.
Axl did a great job. Sounded better with DC than he does with his own band, LOL
He did a great job. It was legendary.
I love it. He does Bon-era songs way better than Brian

The most respectful performances of Axl's career. You honored AC/DC and their fans.
He better have because he lost his vocals to this.
He nailed this, though. Bon’s songs are the highlights of this

100%. Plus his new chubby cowboy look is more appropriate in AC/DC. His scrawny punk rock with bandanna is GNR but that’s in the past
I think he was excited to finally be doing something new.

I've never been a huge Axl fan but I have to admit he does a great job here.
He's like Brian and Bon put together... and he enjoyed it because he is also a fan lol
The original singer died in his vomit, 80s
@@Killereggman So what
Short of getting a line in let there be rock backwards yea. Boy does good
But WTH is with that outfit? looks like he had an ugly curtain stuck in the back of his pants...
it's easy to hate on Axl...but I am happy for him...he got his shit together and was able to do this with both AC DC and Guns n Roses...pretty amazing moment in rock history.
So true! He has always been amazing. How many singers or rappers voices cross 8 octaves?
as much as I am weary to say it, hes a perfect fit. good on ya mate!
it is so weird but so fockin lovely to see Axl finally found his band)
Axl did a great job fuck all the haters!! He helped AC/DC out in a big way so that they could finish their tour so the fans could see them one last time!
Is like Brian go to Guns n Roses just NO.
That shit ain't easy, how many people could sing it and sound that good???😎
And that is a crap cellphone recording :D
Just the guitar
@@SvenDsg For a cellphone, it is a very good recording in my opinion.
Saw it twice in Hamburg n Düsseldorf and it was bloody awesome!!
DDorf best Show of my life!
So many great moments!
Good times..
Yep the key is buzzsaw and it works for all 3 ac/dc vocalist. 😃
You can say everything you want about axel rose but he is absolutely rocking this concert
you´re right, I didnt like him too much, but now I can see hes much more than Guns´
He did do fairly well here in fairness, he sounds rubbish altogether in his own band now.
I was a 70’s/80’s kid and my two all time favorite bands, AC⚡️DC & GnR. So Axl filling in for Brian Johnson is pretty cool.
I agree....
Incredible capture. Please keep this entire show on here for us fans...and for those about to ROCK!
⁶1
Props to Axl..one of the most unprofessional of rockstars, for respecting the incredible work ethic, talent and dedication of this band, and approaching the gig prepared and ready to rock.
as a gnr and ac/dc fan, this was a blessing
Friggin AWESOME thank you for always being with me xxx
a perfect match! Well done Axl Rose for being you and respecting the legacy of Bon & Brian.
Some of the keyboard warriors here hates Axl Rose so much but damn, those people there enjoyed the show so much. Just like watching two bands at the same time, Axl looks so relaxed here because the songs are a little bit slower.
AXL was born to this !! He accomplished his mission in life!!
Not every one can pull off the iconic AC/DC vocals... Good job Axl...
HOYT !
This is so awesome
AMAZING 45 YEARS LATER AND THEYRE STILL ROCKIN AND THOSE LEGS ARE STILL KICKING ❗❗👍👍
still same songs..mostly
Give Axl credit it's not easy to jump into AC/DC like this.
Yeah, I really wanted to hate the whole thing, but I can't. Axl did a really good job.
Amazing, awesome👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️
Axl did a helluva job. Not only did he have to learn the songs and timing of a band who has been together, mostly, since the 1970's. He also had to please fans who know the songs as well as the band does. Curious to see what the future holds.
Ummmm....Axl is a HUGE AC/DC fan. I kinda think he knows the songs, lol.
Future holds flesh being replaced. But archives will never die.
That's whysky humans will be reborn, 1000s of decades to come. Just for Let there be Rock, We salute You, Made Who, Thunderstruck, Drink on me on
Well, Angus and Cliff have been together since the 70s.
I've received angst over the last couple decades for 2 statements. 1. Metallica, Load was a great album, and 2. AC/DC, with Axl Rose as the lead singer, is still worth the ticket price. I stand proud and unfettered.
Axl did an amazing job ❤
Axl did an amazing job. Totally blew my mind.
His screams on High Voltage, If you wanna blood, Let there be rock ... amazing
As with Sin City, great dynamics
If u get picked to sing for ACDC while Johnson cant do, u know u have done things right in your life! GO AXL!
Axl always took pride and care on covering others songs. The fact he did so amazing working with acdc is no surprise to me
So lucky to be there for this show. Axl should have stayed with them, a perfect fit for vocals
Yes but I don't know if hed be able to keep it up... It's really hard on your voice singing like that.
Love AC/DC and Axl did an amazing job keep Rockin and Rollin R.I.P MALCOLM YOUNG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rock on !
Axl really did step it up son!!
Thank you for uploading this video ! I didn't get to go to the concerts, someone added the time stamps ! Axl and AC/DC what a huge concert in rock history ! big hug 4 U !🤘
this is so good!!!!!!
would love to see a pro shot show with axl singing, he killed it!!!!!!
GNR AXL is way more reserved than AC/DC.
these songs are just easier for him to sing at his point. GNR stuff is just insane
This is that kind of album that you don't skip any track because all of them are just pure gold
Love you William . Love you with the band included. Just recently been hearing you. Doing very good and am happy for you. Rock on!!!!!
Awsome uplode thx 4 sharing
AC/ DC and Guns and roses are my favorite super rock band! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👏👏👏👏👏💕😍💖❤
God bless Angus Young...there will never be another like him. The man is Rock and Roll personified.
Jesus!!!!! Angus was MONSTER when I was a kid and here still blasting that sound.. Aussies own Rock and Roll with ACDC and Angels...
One of the best concerts I have ever attended. Axl was superb.
It's crazy how much stamina angus has at these shows. He saves the craziest songs for the end with Riff Raff, Whole Lotta Rosie, and Let There Be Rock
I still say Axl killed it! You can see how much respect he has for Angus. He actually steps aside a lot. He seemed more relaxed with this than his own band.
Axl did pretty good in the G&R tour as well... Him and Slash are cool again and I think they are working on a new album
Saw them in Columbus Ohio toward the end of the tour I was blown away by his power and vocal range with acdc.. when they pumped out if you want blood and live wire my jaw dropped.. they had so much more energy and got to go back to regular tuning
Dylan Perkins that’s so cool. I’m jealous but I’m a good way. I am curious though, was the rest of the tour when Axl started already sold out?
@@leadnsteel1428 The album is already finished!!!
Bon Scott is one of his idols. GnR covered some older AC/DC in the early days (Whole Lotta Rosie is on numerous bottlegs). I read an interview where Angus said Axl actually pointed out a few songs during rehearsal that they had been playing wrong for over 20 years.
Axl kicking asses
Axel has always had a full time career. Don't be jealous.
Axl got together with AC/DC and Ian Astbury
with The Doors.
None of it is a coincidence.
My two favorite singers.
Good lord, Axl fit this band like a glove! - If You Want Blood was just unbelievable!
Thank you for this video I was lucky enough to see ac/dc once in edmonton alta live it was amazing Canada 🇨🇦 they need to come back
Angus still giving it 100% in his 60's. Amazing ! 🎸
Wow 😮 what an electric show! Wish I was there in person.
Damn!!!!
Just Damn!!
Way to bring it AXL!
AC/DC is the best rock band ever!
That schoolboy still kickin ass!
My legs are hurting just watching.
Thank you someone does their research.
True, and Power Up is a great album. Axl was a great sub though.
Axl sounds awesome with AC/DC, considering GNR has a completely different style of sound, he did a great job.
COMPLETELY different? You mean they are a Gregorian chant troupe?
He is the best of the best !!!!!!
I'm 54 and I seen it when I was younger and I still can't rock and roll with them forever they are the best it don't get no better AC DC jams rocks and roll they're the best it don't get no better
'saw' it
'doesn't get'
I wanted so much to see any of the last 10 shows of this tour with Axl singing lead! He did a helluva job! He showed that he was still one of the greatest vocalists in Rock history!
Wow! What an awesome sound! Axl did an amazing job worthy of that sound.
I'm so glad we have youtube to capture this incredible moment in rock history. Axl absolutely SLAYING it with AC/DC. incredible.
Axl singing Bon gives me goosebumps. Love it...
