It's funny how people point out all the negative things about the builds shown here. It's for BEGINNERS people who probably don't have all the equipment that most experienced woodworkers have or have any idea what to make. This is a great video that plants the seeds for creativity. Even the best woodworkers started with this kind of stuff to build confidence. I'm sure this video has helped alot of people. If anyone who's feeling some way about how these are built make your own channel and show the right way or STFU. Great video

King T Thank you for saying that and being polite about it. You had good raising. Read the description. It's for beginners. No one is forced to watch. I think they did fine myself. They are only showing examples that can built on with PRACTI CE.
I've seen worse myself. Gorilla glue and duct tape.

It's for beginners correct, and the basic designs and all that can be forgiven, but the lack of safety can't. Drilling into a piece you're free holding is not only bad for drilling a straight hole, but also just dangerous

Just a thought. For the wine glass holder, I would do a shallow countersink on the four holes, and then use the jigsaw to cut as you did. This would leave a small detent for the flare of the glasses base to rest in, which would help to stop them from sliding out the slot when moving everything.

I am a wood worker and think that these are great projects. I even got a couple of ideas that I hadn't thought of before. I like how the projects would be easy for anyone to make and the simplicity rather then complicated projects requiring lots of tools and previous experience. Keep the ideas coming.

I can even make an idea in the video better. 9:33 bottle of wine with glasses. You can make the glass go sit deeper in the wood so that the glass won't fall from the wooden plank when moving the bottle. Put such an empty bottle with a candle in it on each table where the wax has glided off and dried. What an amazing sight. Or put a fake candle with a led light on top.

I appreciate your point but I think they should do it safely. She is. Drilling toward her hand. And 2 screws into end grain to hold a shelf? She could get someone hurt. Plus, don't you think that a beginner should learn the correct way?

Save the best for last, I might make one to store my daughters toys. For the cube stool, I would add a 1/4" piece of plywood that's slightly smaller than diameter than the box, so that the lid doesn't accidentally fall in when you're sitting on it.

It's awesome that you are making stuff, it really is. But just because you're a woman it doesn't mean that you can't. I know women that pretty much build houses by themselves. Remember the song, "Anything you can do I can do better", take that with everything that you do, and just go with it. All the best.

I thought it was weird that the waiter brought the wine bottle and glasses and then poured from another bottle because they couldn't pour from the one with the holder and two other glasses attached. Why did they bring four glasses to two people and then not use the wine they had brought with the glasses? Makes no sense. Useless item if you ask me,. The last project was OK except in hot climates, the fruit would be kept in the fridge.

I like these types of projects because a beginner could do them with needing many, if any, power tools....but, even if you were a more experienced wood worker with lots of tools you could definitely step up the project using the example as a starting point. I think it’s wonderful that you posted projects that people who are interested in doing these particular projects (but have no experience with woodworking products) and who feel like they cannot do it because they have no experience - can see you can do them.
