      @@questioneverything5595 Depends on which bands you're firing shots at. Killswitch Engage, The Plot In You, Every Time I Die, among others have some of the best cleans in the genre.

      @@jasonlovesmusicreacting882 no doubt I love killswitch engage I just don't like the repeat formula most of metalcore does deathcore is very much guilty of formulas but there's bands that go against the shit like brand of sacrifice and shadow of intent even tho they have more death metal elements

      It seems like Phil is putting in the effort to learn how to sing with each release. It’s rewarding to hear his progression as well as the band’s. I approve.

      sounds NOTHING like old style, even phill's harsh vocals changed over years. Nonetheless this progy death metal with clean vocals is amazing indeed.

    I'm so happy they're leaning in more of a prog death direction than just going softer def one of the best written whitechapel songs I've heard ngl. It wouldn't surprise me to see them on a tour with Fallujah or Allegaeon after this tbh

    The Valley was a fantastic album, but this has the makings of being their opus if this track is any indicator.

      And even the instrumental had that Tool vibe. They’ve had that in the past with songs like Hate Creation but I like how they’re using it a bit more now. Pretty cool blend.

    So I've never really gotten into Whitechapel but I've always respected them for being at the forefront of deathcore and staying relevant. But this song was a pleasant surprise. It might grow on me and I'm gonna check out the song for sure.

    As someone who’s always liked but never loved whitechapel until the valley came out, I love how this song perfectly mixes elements of both their old and new styles. This has got me really exited for the potential proggyness of the new album

    As a fan of Whitechapel since their early days, I sincerely don't understand people complaining about the cleans. The more melodic side of The Valley and now Lost Boy brought Whitechapel to a whole new level in my opinion. Great reaction man :)

      People come for the brutal vocals and nothing else which is fine and it’s their preference but for people to continuously shit on Phil for doing cleans is so stupid. The Valley is easily one of my fav albums I recent years and his cleans were amazing, the same goes for this song.

    The bridge definitely is close to what the band good tiger sounds like as a whole which was Alex rudingers last band was. Just really reminiscent of at the drive in

    Apart from the amazing songwriting and performances, I have to say the mix of the song also stands out! The drums sound well defined, sharp yet organic, the guitar tone is HUGE, and the vocals have a lot of depth!

    Won’t lie, it will take me a bit to warm up to new Whitechapel, old Whitechapel to me is just iconic and love the brutality and disgusting nature of it, maybe I’ll come around on this new sound of theirs

      I love the old Whitechapel but to me deathcore gets boring really fast, so while I was a fan of their last albums, I would never listen to the whole thing. The Valley was the first Whitechapel album I listened to from front to back.

    Whitechapel always guided the Deathcore genre. They brought in the low vocals. Started to add a lot of blackmetal. And since the Valley, which is one of the best Records of all time, they going in a complete different way and lead the complete genre again. Masterpiece of a Band to be fair!
