10/10, The lyrics in this song explains how much I HATE the Metal/Rock community as a whole, it’s honestly nothing but bitching and complaining about who’s the “truest of the true” or “the bigger better guy” and people thinking that they’re better than other people just because of the music they listen to / “this is what we have become a self absorbed population of scum” great song, I personally am a fan of more than one genre, yes I like metal but my head isn’t so far up my ass that I don’t bother to listen to other genres like Rock/Punk/Hip hop (anything really) Seriously If I don’t listen to any rock bands or switch up my favourite music genres I will straight up lose my sanity. I was just talking to a guy at work about this band. White Chapel's new album, Kin has helped me get through a really tough year. Old, new, I don't care so long as they keep being themselves I will forever respect their music, and it will always be my guilty pleasure! Shout out from the East Coast, I hope everyone is doing well!

This song has such a profound meaning, it's crazy how much people judge others especially these days, people are so disrespectful bro, 3 things I have a zero tolerance for, a liar, a thief and disrespect
Phil Bozeman is like the fucking EPITOME of death metal vocals and crazy enough in their newest album Phil can actually sing and and has a pretty stellar voice even during clean melodic singing. In addition to their music being amazing they are absolutely badass awesome live if you like Mosh Pits(and i mean real moshing not that hardcore dancing shit)
Roel de Jong half of them don't know what they're talking about they're just saying stuff out of their ass and they don't even play an instrument like I do
Yeah, which is the majority of the fucking comment section. If you don't like deathcore, than why are you even listening to their shit in the first place? Arguing back and forth trying to prove your opinion is a fact is getting you nowhere. And just because a genre isn't as popular as they were in the past doesn't mean they're dead. People still listen to that shit whether you like it or not. I honestly prefer it that way so cretins like *insert name here* don't find and turn the fandom into a cesspool of narcissism, but I guess it's already too late for that.
+OMGIDestroyedMatter and dont fucking attempt to insult me with you piddly little "idiot" remark. move the fuck on and get back to blowing every whitechapel member with thier great hair.
I've have a deep respect for their talent to produce beautiful and soulful music. I can even sing their songs in acoustic version. Unlike other bands where their songs cannot be sung by clean singing, but can only be sung by growling.
Got the new album around 10 o'clock the night before it came out because I preordered it and I must say I got chills listening to this. There is progression here. If any of you had an ear for music you could see that. I guess only a few can tell though. This is the most widely ranged album they have put out to date. Somatic defilement was straight 2007 deathcore, this is exile was the updated 2009 deathcore, a new era of corruption was a chugfest, Whitechapel was their innovative self titled, our endless war yet again made innovations and differentiated them from other bands, and now the mark of the blade is another step forward. There are songs that range from a nu metal sound to thrash metal, and even some metalcore. My favorite songs are the ones with the different sound, like bring me home and a killing industry. Overall this album is progressive and inherently good. So far it is my favorite. But I'm a little biased because Whitechapel is my favorite band.
Here's my opinion on this whole album. ive listened to this album quite a bit and i gotta say it's one of my favorite Whitechapel album. yes it may not beat This Is Exile or The New Era Of Corruption (sorry if i got the name wrong), but this is next to their self titled album which I thought was a great album, a mix of old and new. Our Endless War wasn't a bad album, but it was their weakest one I'll admit that. Mark Of The Blade I feel is Whitechapel repairing themselves from Our Endless War, and is a big improvement over Our Endless War. This album includes cleans, and I'm glad because it adds something new and it matches perfectly for the songs they used it on. I bet their next album will be better for sure, not saying Mark Of The Blade was bad, but it seems as they're struggling. just like what happened with Marilyn Manson. I think this album is great, and I think it'll hold up in the future. and anyone in this comment section completely ripping this album a new one, you're really ignorant for doing that and it shows how insecure you are about music. at the end of the day, don't change your opinion just because someone else says so (I know that sounds completely random but hear me out). make your own damn opinion. I would give this album an honest 8/10, and I'm glad they are trying new things. thank you for reading and i hope you have a great day, peace ✌
they feel lifeless, when they played deathcore they had such a higher energy, that's what drew me to this band. I don't care about anything they put out anymore even though I will still listen to it, it doesn't excite me
+OMGIDestroyedMatter to me MOTB was the sound they were going for in OEW it just didn't seem pulled off very well. It was like a transition album to a more "mainstream" sound I guess. But this album overall seems much better put together. Let me burn was kinda boring after a few listens but you get songs like tremors which are super heavy and similar to lmb but they are so much better in my opinion
What are the 7 war crimes? Some examples of prohibited acts include: murder; mutilation, cruel treatment and torture; taking of hostages; intentionally directing attacks against the civilian population; intentionally directing attacks against buildings dedicated to religion, education, art, science or charitable purposes, historical monument
The way I found out about this band was in a donut shop in McDonough, Ga. The guy who got our donuts was wearing a Somatic Defilement shirt in 2008 lol
People who have bad taste in music dislike Whitechapel. They're legends that the world will ignore. The very good at composing their songs. So unique and doesn't not sound mainstream at all. Other bands just how the good growls and riffs but they're are not well composed.
Phil Bozeman is definitely one of the greatest Death Metal vocalists of all time like the new death metals bands wish they could sound like Phil and I mean he does the Hi pitch squeal type stuff and his Lows(growls) are fucking insane
man... albums before this were so much better than this. Especially somantic defilement and new era of corruption. Our endless war has some new touch to it which I absolutely love it as well. when i heard the intro, was quite hype abt it. But it continues till the end ,then it gets boring. WHO AGREES?
My sentiments exactly. They can clearly play their instruments, but this song is boring af. This feels very... Radio friendly, you know. Not complex or fun at all.
This could be an unpopular opinion but metal bands have been around for decades and they are bound to change!! So what if not every album is a chugfest of "br00tal" breakdowns and hardcore lyrics ? There are hundreds and thousands of deathcore bands that can provide that for you, you can go listen to any deathcore band and get your daily dose of brutality. They're humans not a machines that are programmed to produce the same thing over and over again. Can't a band experiment and just have fun? I think they've proved themselves and are simply sick of repetition . With that being said, I enjoyed this song, and that's only an opinion, my opinion. Sorry for my shitty English lol!
> Song talks about not being so elitist in many aspects, and saying that those elitist ones ruin our society > Entire comment section is filled with the fuckers 😂
Well, they protect their pride. It's at the root of their elitism, "Look at me, I'm better than you because my bands are better." Maybe some of them will realize that liking certain bands doesn't make them have better taste in music, and in fact, NO ONE CARES that you only listen to underground black metal. Ah, well. XD
That's the same as a band/artist/act saying "Fuck these haters" and someone voices their opinion about the band/artist/act has declined compared to their earlier work and their dick riding fans going "HAHAHA LOOK SONG IS ABOUT HATERS AND HERE YOU ARE". The song being about elitism doesn't shield the work from criticism and doesn't make that criticism invalid.
I do think the video could have a been more intense, and had some more movement, but Whitechapel knows how to deliver, no matter how much their sound has changed. The screams are there, the drums are there, the riffs are there. Their doing their thing and its always a pleasure to my ears.
Jake Paul: Dab on the haters Phil Bozeman: THIS IS WHAT WE HAVE BECOME A SELF-ABSORBED POPULATION OF SCUM OUR VISION OF THE FUTURE IS US STARING AT THE SUN GODDAMN THE ELITIST ONES ngl I have a crush on Phil
Its the world if it isn't what they want they cry and bitch like to me i love Whitechapel but people don't like music anymore they like complaining and bitching about pretty much anything your hair you cloths you race your god your gender and bushing bands its just the world people well do it till the day we are killing one other for looking not like each other or burning people because they don't make music they don't like or stabbing and ripping out peoples eyeballs for not liking this or that this world sucks next lol xD
Phil's voice and the way he carries himself make up a good part of the band, his size juxtaposes his voice and lyrics. adds a nice curve to bands presentation. Phil looks like he could def handle his shit when it came time, but so does the rest of the band.
old Whitechapel,
new Whitechapel,
they will always be Whitechapel.
Respect to this band!!!

True song about this world, everyone does secretly think they're better.. ty for being real!
Phil has to have some of the best lows in deathcore.

Some examples of prohibited acts include: murder; mutilation, cruel treatment and torture; taking of hostages; intentionally directing attacks against the civilian population; intentionally directing attacks against buildings dedicated to religion, education, art, science or charitable purposes, historical monument
I love how his voice mixes with the bass
Their vocalist is legendary.
Im a straight guy, but the drummer rustles my jimmies like no others.
xDDDDD
Don’t mind breaking it to you but you’re definitely not straight. Straight dudes are talking about the snake lady.
This is one of the best songs I've ever heard! Keep bringing that Southern Heat!!!
Sounds like if Meshuggah and Slipknot had a baby.
It's so beautiful
Good to see scarlxrd turning rap kids into deathcore fans. Nice one
WoodChippedFish 😂 don’t let the raps kids find out
scarlxrd’s fans are deathcore fans.......
If this song was a woman, I'd marry it.
you profile picture fits this coment well xD
Honestly, I think I would too, even considerating that I'm a woman and that I prefer mans
It’s anything you want it to be 😉 happy anniversary!😏
A reptilian woman?
That guy And if that woman was dead, I’ll f**k it. Awesome song by the way.
My fav song by whitechapel. I can’t wait till the next album
Khaki shorts are so hardcore
Shorts in general, not being sarcastic, look up pantera I'm Broken
I got inspire and wore shorts to my classic rock band's first show😂😂...went well
Lesion can agree
When you have to mow the lawn at 5 but have a video shoot at 330
I bought shorts for xmas. Going to be awesome.
definitely the most well written whitechapel song of all time
That's a joke, right?
GOD DAMN !!! THE ELITIST OOONNNEESSS
The vocalist is a beast
Phil Bozeman is definitely one of the greatest Death Metal vocalists of all time like the new death metals bands wish they could sound like Phil and I mean he does the Hi pitch squeal type stuff and his Lows(growls) are fucking insane
man... albums before this were so much better than this. Especially somantic defilement and new era of corruption. Our endless war has some new touch to it which I absolutely love it as well.
when i heard the intro, was quite hype abt it. But it continues till the end ,then it gets boring.
WHO AGREES?
couldn't agree more
My sentiments exactly. They can clearly play their instruments, but this song is boring af. This feels very... Radio friendly, you know. Not complex or fun at all.
Yupp, if you compare this with other albums. Its like they turned ON their lazy/easy MODE when making this song. But still gonna love this band.
Same here
The irony is killing me
I've heard this song live and I gotta say.. Since then, I love this song more. Good vocals!
why do people comment on a bands video, just to say they like another band better? ??I just don't get it
Tribalism as old as Babylon friend
cjkrupa24 Because they can
Chugga Chagga
Riff Raff
Triddik Triddik
solos
when you're an elitist one
+Draden Merenox When you're cringe enough to insult someone using a shitty, generic song.
Sound's lame imo
austyn Allen Taylor when you're so insecure about your musical taste that you go out of your way to tell people that theirs sucks to hide your pain.
TERRAFXXXXRM IS PLAAAAAAACE!
A few seconds of the riff and I knew this song would be tight. Saw them 2 years ago and unfortunately it wasn't long enough of a set 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Sorry for my shitty English lol!
you're a magchine
Spanish Leather95 exactly Bands should evolve and change some or they become stagnant and die out
Death core is trash Cookie Monster vox with 1500 breakdowns in every song
@@terrorinc4850 no they don't have to. Cannibal corpse kept the same style for 30 years now
I actually love this change. It makes them a legitimately unique deathcore band
damn i cant believe this is 2 years old now. Still sounds as amazing as the first time i heard this song
> Song talks about not being so elitist in many aspects, and saying that those elitist ones ruin our society
> Entire comment section is filled with the fuckers 😂
ArchRax To summon a devil you Call him by name
Song might as well been called RUclips's Comment Section
ArchRax the elitist scum never KNOW they're elitist scum. ex: paul ryan is a RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE FAN
I love how n.e.r.d supplied the snakes for the video. Loves those guys.
Well. I like this song, its great.
I do as well.
ohh fuck you schmoe

+Joe Schmoe said all of us

FAVORITE SONG ON THE ALBUM!!!
This is the first Whitechapel song and is my favourite. Banger
This makes me want to curbstomp a rhino
Gop damn bro
@@chinoyomaji288 do you like Deftones btw
same, I didn't know until you said it, but same
On my way to africa to find one now
@@ShawnJonesHellion check ur local zoo
Gotta say they have some great ass music
loving the cargo shorts
I do think the video could have a been more intense, and had some more movement, but Whitechapel knows how to deliver, no matter how much their sound has changed. The screams are there, the drums are there, the riffs are there. Their doing their thing and its always a pleasure to my ears.
I came here not expecting to like this song for I don't like deathcore.
But, dude !
This song's pretty fucking sick !
Y'all but phil is lowkey daddy material LmaO
cringe
cringe
cringe
Jake Paul: Dab on the haters
Phil Bozeman: THIS IS WHAT WE HAVE BECOME
A SELF-ABSORBED POPULATION OF SCUM
OUR VISION OF THE FUTURE IS US STARING AT THE SUN
GODDAMN THE ELITIST ONES
ngl I have a crush on Phil
First song I ever heared of Whitechapel as a Jared Cover. Great Song!
Yo the new Riff Raff album destroy this lmao
gr8 b8 m8 i r8 8/8
Not joking. Riff slams hard.
+mmm6325 Oh... I guess I had the name confused with something else.
how you going to compare riff raff to Whitechapel
Dude hell yeah I thought i was the only one who likes metal and Riff Raff. Whats your fav track from Peach Panther?
I'll always love Whitechapel.
didn t scarlxrd used this sample?
Yep, he used in TERRAFXRM, very dope and heavy too
Yes
@@rafaflaigon4759 I totally agree with you I feel like he would fit in whitechapel perfectly
I love this guitar tone.
wish there was a love button
same
Serena Maldonado I'd use it on every Whitechapel song
love … fucking like it then
These guys will be a classic. My kids didnt even these guys existed. "I shall pass on the knowledge"
🙏🙏🙏
When Scarlxrd used the instrumentals of this on one of the song on his new Album
When no one was there...whitechapel was ♥️❤
Newer whitechapel is better then newer suicide silence so stop complaining
Brian Thompson I will definitely give you that
Brian Thompson Nothing Whitechapel does can be as bad as newer Suicide Silence.
Amen, Whitechapel is still listenable, Suicide silence sounds like trash, especially the song Doris
New suicide silence was never good
WyldBuffBunch Gaming teehee
TEH BIG MEENI BULLI ELITISTS HUWT MY FEEWINGS!!1!1!1!!!11!1!!!1!1!!
Calm down elitist
Edgy Teen That Likes Djent The only thing worse than an elitist prick are the whiny kids that fall for their shit.
+Musically Oblivious Scene Kid That's Highly Pretentious And Ignorant I know it's fucking ridiculous
+Edgy Teen That Likes Djent Its ridiculous that you still haven't developed decent tastes in heavy music.
+JarlAthaulf quit bitching that I don't like the same thing you do elitist
This is fucking good, idk what people are bitching about. Makes me want to move a mountain.
The problem is people wanting instant gratification from something and not putting in any time or thought into appreciating it
+Danny devour And angst filled suburban scene kids do little to quell these issues.
It's boring as hell man lol this album is no good
Phil's voice and the way he carries himself make up a good part of the band, his size juxtaposes his voice and lyrics. adds a nice curve to bands presentation. Phil looks like he could def handle his shit when it came time, but so does the rest of the band.
Is it just me or all the dudes in whitechapel jacked?
Chad M The drummer definitely is but the singer might be 150-160 pounds soaking wet.
Yeah, pretty much everyone looks jacked to me except the singer. He looks like he has a thick ass head and neck but scrawny (but muscled) body.
jcal2906 phil is pretty skinny, but recently dude got a lil bigger
Gotta be jacked to sing shit like this.
There all ex mil
the drummer makes me want 2 do pushups.
same bruh
He got buffed for this music vid lmao
Lol
Alternatively, you could just play drums like q maniac every chance you get xD
I read that as do 2 push ups, like godamn that rigorous
Great lyrics love the material guys
I love snakes so much so it makes this video that much better, I have 8 personally
Just came here to cleanse Doris out of my ears lmao
TEE HEE
