"America our wasteland, Where death is entertainment. The place where moving forward means you turn the other direction" -- This opening line is fucken amazing. thanks for the endless contents of great lyricist.
About a year ago I got into heavy metal and always drew the border by death metal and death core now I've officially broken the border cuz this bands is fucking amazing. \m/
Loving the new direction Whitechapel took with this album! Their going back to their groove-heavy roots and throwing in some hardcore elements as well!
I like all albums^^ This is Exile is my favorite tho. First 4 albums are pure gold, but Our Endless War is good too. I love The Saw Is The Law and Diggs Road!

I've been listening to Whitechapel ever since they first came out and at first, I hated the way they changed their sound but after taking the time to really listen to it, I'm starting to love it. I will forever love them!
I love how Phil just looks back at the camera, when they start walking toward the stage at the beginning of the video, and you can just see it in his eyes: "You see the shit I put up with, right?"
Best hardcore band of any type🤷♀️ they put together the best riffs and heavy choruses while most band just go all thru it without a noticable chorus in my opinion. But these guys literally make you feel powerful in a certain way. Such heavy music emotionally and literally. Glad I grew up seeing bands like this evolve and become my favorites
I really like the direction you guys are taking. You're maturing as a band and separating yourselves from everyone else. It's nice to see you making music you want to make. Ignore the people that are hating on you for changing. Keep up the excellent work!
GetScaredGaming Save me is just A7x trying to be Opeth by writing a longer, less generic song, yet failing miserably at it, like they do with every pathetic attempt at anything decent. They are horrible, scene trash.
FluxxTV You are genuinely stupid if you think a7x is generic, sorry. Ive listened to a lot of bands, and a7x is easily one of the most unique sounding. Im cool if you dont like a7x, but you haters blow everything out of porportion and its honestly pathetic. If you're a fan of opeth, you cant possibly hate a song like save me. like its just not possible, makes no sense. There is nothing generic about that song whatsover. If anything theyve done is generic, its hail to the king, but even then, its still very unique. People say This means war is exactly like sad but true when in reality, they sound very different. Same goes for the Heretic - Symphony of destruction comparison. Completely different songs other than a similar vibe in the verse. Deathcore bands like whitechapel have similar sounding songs to other bands way more often, not saying that thats a bad thing, because i love whitechapel and im going to assume you do to since that is why you are here.
I just love the variety of sound that these guys can create for every album! This track especially is really good! And I love the melodic death metal part, gives it more feeling and greater riff...
I'm kind of just waiting for the day Phil uses cleans on one album, then that is when I can say I've had enough Whitechapel for good, lol. Honestly looking at their progression so far, I wouldn't be surprised if he were to.
If anyone was wondering, they used footage from the tour they just finished. I noticed the camera on his mic when they played in Birmingham, Alabama at Zydeco, and there are definitely clips from that show in here.
***** you are dumb, and if that means you are a follower then you have failed dude. They finally added old school thrash, techinicality(that may have been bland) and overall, a COMPLETELY different sound. Im not even that big of a fan either but dam dude, at least get your facts straight.
i said the tecnicality is bland, they have never really been "tecnical" anyway. just death core breakdowns with a larger metal influence. This song sets a new par for them i believe
I'll agree. When I was first introduced to Whitechapel and Deathcore in general, I listened to them and Suicide Silence and Oceano and Chelsea Grin and honestly they all really sounded the same.I came to see if maybe they got better since them and Chelsea Grin had some new stuff. I enjoyed this a lot more (reminded me a bit of Upon A Burning Body honestly, minus technical/good guitar work).
SooshiShef Those bands do not sound the same. Chelsea Grin and SS are pretty generic though and Oceano only has a few good songs as well (which I dig though!)

And I was into the self titled record, but with this album it sounds like the band has stripped even more from their sound. I feel like so many of the old core bands are now just relying on djent guitar tones and riffs instead of technical and heavy songwriting.

Jake Moresea Well typically, when you build an entire fanbase on one sound and then spend the next two albums focusing on something different, some of those early fans tend to get upset. It would be as if an industrial band started playing technical death metal. The outcome would be the same, fans would be upset. It tends to happen a lot when bands change their sound or try to innovate but only end up lessening their original message. In this case, I think that Whitechapel just started out too young and weren't really set into a particular vibe or message and were only doing what they thought was cool at the time and not really thinking about their future or their overall message and decided later on that they wanted to do something different.
daydreamer92ify That wasn't my point. I was ranting about the whole "technical" thing. I think it's completely idiotic to disregard a band just because they aren't technical in their instrumentation. I know that changing genres can (and will) affect the older fans. Black Tide is a great example.
Jake Moresea Okay, but you see that's what I'm trying to tell you, that's not the reason I dislike the new album. I dislike the new album for many reasons, only one of them being that it isn't as technical as this is exile or new era of corruption. In my reply I was trying to explain that to you, that it wasn't the sole reason I disliked this, but you're just being fucking obtuse and idiotic and trying to turn this into an argument about fucking semantics, I'm telling you that it isn't the only reason, I don't just fucking disregard bands that aren't technical, I like plenty of non tech bands, what I was saying is that I dislike the fact that they went from one side of the spectrum to the other as far as I'm concerned, technical and intelligent metal to dumb, djent, gang vocal shit.

Yeah, this song lyrically is like 2/3 years ahead of it's time, it's almost as if Phil predicted the way the US was gonna go.
Was then, but damn is it not even more relevant now.

Whitechapel has always been a badass band, but this album has brought them to a whole new level. Fucking powerful!
Phil Bozeman just gets Music in a way a lot of people overlook. One of the better bands still around. Such a good album.
What? Lol. Phil just writes the lyrics...the rest of the band writes all of the instrumentals (the actual music).

My GOD, I just can't move my neck right now, what a piece of BRUTAL song!!!
Our Endless War
cant get enough of this song and the whole album. love it.
Let's go
America our wasteland
Where death is entertainment
The place where moving forward means you turn the other direction
A place where reality existed
And we still continue to bleed
Red, White, Blue for ourselves and who?
And they still hold the truth so we say
Fuck you!
My country disagreed, sweet land of idiocracy
This is our endless war!
While we still have liberty
Lets take back our justice for all
We can march at sundown upon capitol hill
We're calling you out
Come face us now and see your true war
Let's take it back
We the people have spoken against
Our endless war!
There is nothing left to prove
We've spoke our minds risked our lives
Make your move
Tread lightly, choose your words wisely
Or we will refuse to bleed
Red, White, Blue for ourselves and who?
And they still hold the truth so we say
Fuck you!
My country disagreed, sweet land of idiocracy
While we still have liberty, all justice for all
Shut it down!
50 states united as one
But we still cant find a solution
Where have we gone
It seems that our motto to live by
When your chin deep in shit
don't, breathe and die!
don't, breathe and die!
Let's take back our justice for all!
We can march at sundown upon capitol hill
We're calling you out
Come face us now and see your true war
We can march at sundown upon capitol hill
We're calling you out
Come face us now and see your true war
I've said before and I'll say it again
This world is ours
Let's take it back and give them their war
Let's take it back!
We the people
Have spoken against
Our endless war!
My country disagreed, sweet land of idiocracy
9 years after this post still my second favorite band.
