There is one security concern with tools like this.. It will install drivers without knowing where they are coming from. Now I don't know this tool but as we all know drivers can be very malicious so I would still exercise caution by using tools like this. I will say though that a tool like this can be very helpful.
Another incredible program. I wish that I would have found your channel years ago. This app sure would have helped to keep Windows 10 up-to-date. Never even heard of this app.
Snappy Driver Installer Origin does not show you the current version or date, where as the other software does. It gives you info on your old driver and the new updated driver (date and version) that you about to install. Snappy Driver Installer has a way better UI and has a create system restore point option. I have not seen any adware or bloatware either.
To be honest, I haven't used the normal version yet, I've just always heard to stay away from it because it's bundled with malware (or some of the drivers are), but I haven't confirmed it myself.
From what I've seen and heard, the non-origin version is bundled with adware/bloatware/malware/spyware. I've always just stayed away from it and used the Origin version.
@@memstechtips Thanks for the answer. I actually have a portable NVME, based on MediCat with a bunch of useful ISOs added. I also have a full 40GB-odd SDI no-ORIGIN on it. Haven't had any issues whatsoever. That's why I was asking. Love the content on your channel, BTW.

@@memstechtips I heard this doesn't apply to the portable version of SDI.
I haven't had that issue, but you can always just disable it for the time being. Are you sure you are using it exactly like I show in the video? You have to be sure that you're using the correct program.
@@memstechtips Thank you for your answer. Could you please show me how I can reinstall the software? Because at the first time when I installed the software, I activated erroneously the wrong option. I activated the option for network and download WLAN, LAN and WiFi. But I should activate option Indizes for downloading new driver.
But what if you need to install a wifi driver but dont have any internet because you dont have a internet driver but you also dont have an ethernet cable at all?? (Im in that position) I'm having a hard time with my computer because my wifi driver is so irrelevant that I can't find the correct driver. Can i still use SDIO to install my wifi driver to access the Internet again??
Snappy driver gives options wether you intsall the drivers offline and online, in the video he selected the online driver install, but if you want to use it for offline it will take hours or a day
Hi, I've been using SDI for a long time, but after a driver update on my current rig with Windows 10, the system can't boot. Does anyone know what could be causing this problem?
Did you manage to install or update all of the missing drivers on your computer with this guide??
nope

Holy, thank you for this,
No problem!
@@memstechtips i have a question sir, the newer intel hd graphics installed, but still pop ups on SDI-origin, that fine, right?
Wow it's open source and better then paid ones, thanks you
Great Video Sir 👍
Thanks 👍

I like download networking drivers and copying the file to my flash drive.
And then you install the rest of the missing drivers or what?
OK. What exactly is the difference between Origin and non-Origin SDI? Any particular reason why you should not use the other one? Tnx

Where does it download it to?
why does mine get stuck at 90% on installing drivers?
What should I do, if Windows defender hinders the installation of the software?

Yes, definitely!

what if the laptop has no network controller drivers installed, how is this procedure going to work?
Download the full sdi one from another computer then run it.
Use your phone as ethernet connection
My OS is WIn 11 22h2 but the CMD Ver and SDIO shows win 10.
I saw that happen on my PC as well, don't know why.
Normal behavior. A lot of programs report W11 as W10 due to compatibility issues. W11 and W10 are also very similar.
theres no welcome messages on me can you help me?
❤.
I will pass it activated windows defender
Please don't do this
Why not?
Yeah why not
I think he had a problem with drivers in the past, but to be fair if your computer is working properly you should avoid updating drivers and firmwares
It is a shame that I didn't see this comment earlier. I'm going 'BLUE' btw
Do NOT do this! You will blue screen.
