  • Please take a look at the Legends Comic-Con weekender. A new Comic-Con/weekender concept that will be taking place at Stonham Barns in Suffolk in August this year. More details and tickets available here: / 548269397342067
Let’s take a look at 18650 Batteries for Nexus/LGT lightsabers. What are they? How do you choose the best battery for your saber? How do you get the best from your batteries?
Whilst this video talks about Batteries for Nexus/LGT lightsabers much of the information is relevant to any saber which uses this kind of battery.
I buy my KeepPower 18650 batteries from Nu Battery:www.nubattery....
The battery wraps I use can be found here: thesaberarmory...
Please always read the instruction manual that came with your lightsaber in conjunction with watching this video.
Please Always make a back up copy of your SD card before making any changes so that you can go back to the original settings if things go wrong or don’t work out.
I am unable to supply you with copies of the original files.
My previous Lightsaber help videos can be found here: • Nexus/LGT Lightsaber T...

For videos on disassembling Nexus hilts I recommend Padawan Outpost’s RUclips channel here: / @padawanoutpost
For RGB colour codes I use Rapid Tables RGB colour chart here:www.rapidtable...
The MAC App I use to clean ghost files left by a Mac computer is called BlueHarvest and is available here: apps.apple.com...
If you want to know more about customising the charging sounds (and others) on your Xenopixel saber then I advise you to watch my Xenopixel SD card customisation video. You can watch that video here: • Xenopixel V2 SD card C...
I hope you find this helpful.
My Xenopixel sabers mostly come from Padawan Outpost in the UK:
    padawanoutpost...
I also buy sabers from Howes Kybers: www.howeskyber...
For a discount on some items at Howes Kybers use the code:PaulsStuff at checkout
I get most of my custom sound fonts from 4 different font creators:
Howes Kybers. Sound fonts specifically for Xenopixel electronics:
    www.howeskyber...
Kyberphonic. Fonts include a Xenopixel version:
    www.kyberphoni...
KSith. Fonts include a Xenopixel version:

Ronin Sabers. Fonts do not include a Xenopixel version so some modification is necessary for Xenopixel hilts:

This is the website that I use to find the colour settings (RGB) for my Xenopixel boards: www.rapidtable...
The Detailing parts for my sabers come from a number of sellers including:
Wanna Wanga for lots of detail pieces:
    wannawanga.com
The Saber Armory for Smugglers Outpost speakers, as well as many other saber related products:

The materials to make my daylight blades are purchased from JQ sabers:
    www.jqsabers.com
Ready made Daylight blades are now also available fro Padawan Outpost and Howes Kybers (links above)

    just wondering can i use 18650 battery 3200mAh Voltage 3.6 V

I am afraid I cannot advise on your specific requirements or the battery you have mentioned, but a good 18650 battery will have a mAh rating of between 2600mAh and 3600mAh and a nominal voltage 3.7v. In addition if you are running a neopixel blade in your saber you will need a continuous discharge rating of 10A-15A. The continuous discharge rating is not so important for base lit sabers. To ensure you have a safe and reliable battery for your saber I recommend buying a KeepPower battery: www.nubattery.co.uk/18650-protected-button-top-batteries

@@Snowwinterie Once again I am unable to advise on your specific set up and battery. For any saber the higher the mAh rating is the more run time you will get from the battery. A good quality 18650 will have a nominal voltage of 3.7v. As you have an RGB hilt then pretty much any constant discharge rating of 5A and above should be ok. I am really sorry but I can't offer more advice than this.

I have several sabers from TXQ that appear to be unprotected. Should I be worried? I usually run my sabers until they tell they’re low on battery or just die

Hi. I have no experience with TXQ batteries so can't speak to their quality or if they are protected or not. The easiest way to get some idea is to measure the length and if it is over 65mm long (typically 68mm-70mm) then it is likely to have some form of protection however this will not tell you what protection the battery has. I would always use a protected battery in my sabers and especially when charging them in the hilt via a charge cable. The battery should be fine being run until the saber warns of low battery or the saber stops working as the saber itself is monitoring battery voltage to give the warning and should shut off before the battery over discharges. I hope this helps.
