The dark saber I've always thought was so damn cool, and the noise it makes, just makes the blade even better, I heard it's quite powerful too so it's my ideal saber.
Darth Zannah who was trained by Darth Bane. To use a doublebladed lightsaber used one with shorter blades because of her short stature. so she could maneuver and block easier. She was trained in form 3 Soresu. Because of that bane said her defense was impenetrable. For as long as she had stamina. She would block anything. Than counter attack. Never offense first against another saber user of equal or slightly less skill. It’s a great example of a sith using defense instead of offense in lightsaber duels.
Honestly, my favorite lightsaber would be the parasol saber, because if you think about it not only could it be incredibly useful by spinning it around fast to block attacks and for unconventional combat, but it could also be great to disguise it to launch a surprise attack, and the fact that it can be turned into a regular lightsaber is great too, imagine if that singular lightsaber could turn into a double bladed lightsaber, so many blades…
How do you attack at all though? The only way to carry it ignited without damaging yourself or the surface you're walking on is only overhand, well, like an umbrella. All you could do is like poke and nudge with the leading edges.
I would say Ahsoka's Shoto Sabers and her Stance are probably my favorite style overall. I love how her Sabers changed and grew with her. She has vastly different sabers in her older age than they were at the start of the Clone Wars. They are longer and thinner blades, and the hilts are dramatically different as well.
I really think that the concept of the flicker-phase lightsaber is super interesting if used by a drunken lightsaber wielder. The unpredictability of drunken fighting styles mixed with a saber that is just as unpredictable on its own would make for some really funny fighting. I dont know I never really watched star wars but this idea seemed kinda cool
its very good at suprising opponents. For example if you try to parry a lightsaber and your flicker-phase lightsaber switches off your opponent will be very suprised that you have been cut in two

Yeah, the canon wasn’t based in reality either.
I can’t stress enough how much we need a proper AAA Star Wars rpg with multiple choices of which path to follow. And in depth lightsaber customisation, where you have to go and explore properly to find certain crystals and components.
You know how the new girl in the new star war trilogy? How she's been using a staff her whole life and then suddenly got good at using a regular light saber and being self thought? It would have made more sense if he used a dual bladed saber as it's more a kin to a staff and would makes sense in her skill of weilding it and not just "Oh she was one with the force that's why she's so good"
My dream saber follows Shadiversity's theory of the Stick. It's outward (deactivated) appearance would be that of a wooden staff slightly longer than the pike. Usable as a walking stick, or for not lethal force but within this "wooden" staff is a beskar pipe housing twin sabers emitting a 9 inch blades from each end and an extra large central battery, for when lethal force is necessary. Backed up with a utilitarian and/or stealthy lightdagger
You should have talked about more of the lightsaber variants from Visions. As wildly impractical as many of them were, they still had some pretty cool properties.
Having used it in blade and sorcery, Ezra's blaster lightsaber is by far my favourite. You only need one shot after a good parry to knock an enemy off their guard or kill them outright. Granted the ai in blade and sorcery arent designed to block blaster bolts but I believe it could surprise any sith or jedi who wasnt expecting it.
The lightsaber pike(like what Kazdan and Shadow Guards use) and shoto guard sabers have been my favorite for years now. Love the unique designs and combat style along side them.
I have a unique saber idea. It's inspired by the Halo energy sword. It's a duel blade where the blades point inwards to each other. Making an arrowhead shape. I'm calling it Dathomirs Redeemer. My OC, Ruthless Zunro, has this saber with a purple crystal.
Great video, I'm a instant fan and hope you can keep making these kinds of videos about any kind of lore. I'm sure if you knew this or not but mauls was unique in the fact that his saber (sabers) was actually made with twin crystals. That's why it still works when it was cut in half. Basically regular sabers welded together in the middle or something like that to keep them connected. Which was a brilliant idea seeing how he knew that it would be the primary target of the 2 jedi since it is considered a serious vulnerability of the double blade.
You know I felt kind of silly when I came up with the Lighthook (Lightsaber grappling hook) But after seeing the Lightaxe, Lightsickle, and Light PARASOL, I think my Lighthook is pretty good-
I once invented my own type called the double bladed cross guard which combines the agressive nature of the basic double bladed light saber and the opponent restrictions of the cross guard the uniqueness of my version is that it have different colours depending on the segment allowing the user to use both sides of the force at the same exact time
The lightwhip would have to win an award for worst weapon design. As if a regular whip isn't already impractical enough as a weapon, making it out of something that can maim or kill even with a light touch is a virtually guaranteed way to kill the weapon's wielder.
To be fair, if you were trained in using the lightwhip, it could be a very efficient weapon, and if you were to be disarmed, your enemy likely wouldn't pick up you weapon, so you could retrieve it.
that's for normal people though, we're talking about a force-sensitive who could use the force to affect the blade and how it travels. you're also not taking into account how with a normal whip, the only damaging part is the tip at max range while the lightsaber whip could kill/maim at any range. with enough specialized training, it can be one of the most deadly weapons in the universe. even in combat against other lightsaber wielders too, as you can get your whip around their lightsaber and yank it out of their grasp, but if they tried using your lightsaber, they likely wouldn't know how. i see where you're coming from though :)

@@magnawaves Inflection absolutely is important to presenting well, but this is an example of someone who isn't self-aware enough to understand they aren't doing it well. Done wrong, inflection is as bad as a monotone delivery.
My top three are dookus curved hilt because of it's comfortable shape and ease of wielding in a duel, Kylo's cross guard due to it's look and feel not to mention how intimidating it was,and revans just from the iconic legacy man who wielded it in fact I have revans it costed me almost 200$ but it's so cool
I love Ezra's first lightsaber. I understand that it's not very Jedi-like but it's unique and fun to watch someone use. It would have been cool to see Ezra get really good with it.
Not all modern lightsabers can be thrown like you describe it. Similar to the double phase saber a lightsaber needs to be customised to be able to throw it by making a lockable activation switch (Anakin had one for example) when used the lightsaber would always stay on until the button is pressed again. However as this can become dangerous to the wielder most Jedi use a contact switch which is the reason why lightsaber auto deactivate when they get unarmed as to not hurt the wielder should he lose grip on his blade (as seen in many fights like the fight of Obi-Wan against Jango)
Not gonna lie, a lightsaber axe with a handle made from beskar or some other lightsaber-resistant material would be badass, and maybe even my weapon of choice
Bought a saber from this guy, 10/10 I highly recommend. Customer service is fantastic. The saber came in wonderful condition and easy to use. I will definitely be getting another one.
My favorite lightsaber was the Darksaber, it has a huge history and was first made by a Jedi. But this lightsaber became incredibly famous and if you have it together with the right requirements then you can lead the Mandalorian Tribes to victory. It was incredibly special besides being my personal favorite and it was also owned by Darth Maul as his secundaire lightsaber.
personally, because i use so many lightsabers at once, i prefer to go with either regular lightsabers or inexpensive variations like double bladed lightsabers. it's just super expensive and impractical to have 50-70 ultra-expensive lightsabers at a time.
This is the first of your videos that I've seen, and you've earned a like, subscribe, and my respect as a star wars fan. The sheer completeness of your source material exposure and the impecibility of your analysis are clear. I trust you to remind me of what I've read and seen in the past.
While the lightsaber pistol would likely be more effective, it is far inferior to most other lightsaber variants as it is uncivilized, thus negating a main function of a lightsaber as a more civilized weapon. Great video though! Definitely subscribing to the channel now and honestly should have sooner
Fun fact in Canon about the dark saber it's considered a broadside saber which was not like the lot by the Jedi or the sith considering it was also considered not very sportsman but they did recognize how powerful and useful it was
Ezra's first lightsaber would be so practical. I'm kinda upset that the characters don't use the gun part of it up close, to create an opening. Like, if you get stuck in a bind with the opponent, you could just stun them and win the fight.
Ezra: *Shoots a stun bolt at an Inquisitor mid-saber lock* Inquisitor: That's not very honorable! Ezra: Yes, but counterpoint: you're a fascist. Inquisitor: And that gives you the right to pull cheap shots mid-fight?! Ezra: In every conceivable way. Inquisitor: Oh- Ezra: *Shoots the Inquisitor in the face with a stun bolt*
I know technically Corran Horns light saber can be considered the same as Vader's but I think the uniqueness of it should have made it prime for this video. His dual phase lightsaber with the twist hilt to change out the crystal was far cooler then Vader's. At one length the blade was purple and at the other the blade turned silver and grew ALOT. That to me is an awesome lightsaber. YES I KNOW!!! I'M A STARWARS GEEK!!!!
I love the first time he used it in I, Jedi. The image of abject failure because of a faulty crystal, followed by absorbing the energy of the explosion to save himself and send a message, only to find out moments later that he saved himself.... but not his clothes.
Imagine a saber with a slightly longer length hilt with 4 crystals inside, 3 on one side and 1 on the other. The primary side has a standard length blade and a short blade as well as a light whip. You would only attack rarely with the whip and if the surprise failed to kill them than use the standard blade. On the other side would be a slightly shorter blade mostly used for defence if they go for a low blow. Pop it on to block and than turn it off again. I would have this and a blaster on my belt.
I just found this channel and I’ve subscribed straight away. I can’t wait for your Lightsaber Crystals video, you should cover all the crystals from the Knights of the Old Republic games, there are some cool and unique ones in those games.
It wouldn't work AT ALL for Star Wars. A katana is such a specific blade type that's obviously a callback to ancient human history, and they want to avoid that to make it seem like another world. The dark saber I've always thought was so damn cool, and the noise it makes, just makes the blade even better, I heard it's quite powerful too so it's my ideal saber.
& it's the name of my weiner
I like it because you essentially have Darth Mary Poppins and I find that funny
@@faultyfilter5747 “darth Mary poppins” 😭😭

Mine would be single hilt with angled cross guard, that could extend into a spear and back. The hilt extends, rather than the blade.
100% agree with your assessment of Ezra's saber. I think it is a distinct and cool weapon that kind of just got discarded for... reasons I guess?
Now THAT is how you do a sponsor segment. You choose a product that basically everyone watching the video will want
You know how the new girl in the new star war trilogy? How she's been using a staff her whole life and then suddenly got good at using a regular light saber and being self thought? It would have made more sense if he used a dual bladed saber as it's more a kin to a staff and would makes sense in her skill of weilding it and not just "Oh she was one with the force that's why she's so good"
I love all your content mate, on all your channels. Keep making amazing videos!!
My dream saber follows Shadiversity's theory of the Stick. It's outward (deactivated) appearance would be that of a wooden staff slightly longer than the pike. Usable as a walking stick, or for not lethal force
but within this "wooden" staff is a beskar pipe housing twin sabers emitting a 9 inch blades from each end and an extra large central battery, for when lethal force is necessary.
Backed up with a utilitarian and/or stealthy lightdagger
I have always liked how Exar Kun adapt his lightsaber for every enemy, single, double, the lenght, certainly a true warrior
You should have talked about more of the lightsaber variants from Visions. As wildly impractical as many of them were, they still had some pretty cool properties.
"Rey Palpatine"
Thank God He's not one of those Guys saying Rey is a Skywalker
I prefer just Rey myself
Yeah, can’t believe that bastard stole Luke’s lightsaber, x wing, home, and fucking last name
I've always liked the idea of a double bladed lightsabor where the 2 blade lengths could be adjusted as needed. As well as separated into 2 blades.
I'm pretty sure you just described Exar Kun's lightsaber.
I personally really loved the style of Ezra Bridgers First lightsaber. The fact it had a blaster, within the saber is still unique to this day
Oh my gosh I'd love a lightsaber pike! I love those things.
Oh, long form content is always better than short form for me.
I am one hundred percent on board with this.
I may be mistaken, but I believe Maul’s saber actually contained four synthetic crystals in total.
I remember Ventress had a nunchuck like saber in the original battlefront 2
I think it was dlc
All these Lightsabers will be a fine addition to my collection.

That a force user can manipulate the whip with the force combined with super human speed and skill make it (slightly) mor practical than it appears.
If wielded by a normal human, but we're talking about force sensitive here
To be fair, if you were trained in using the lightwhip, it could be a very efficient weapon, and if you were to be disarmed, your enemy likely wouldn't pick up you weapon, so you could retrieve it.
Although it would be quite difficult.
that's for normal people though, we're talking about a force-sensitive who could use the force to affect the blade and how it travels. you're also not taking into account how with a normal whip, the only damaging part is the tip at max range while the lightsaber whip could kill/maim at any range. with enough specialized training, it can be one of the most deadly weapons in the universe. even in combat against other lightsaber wielders too, as you can get your whip around their lightsaber and yank it out of their grasp, but if they tried using your lightsaber, they likely wouldn't know how. i see where you're coming from though :)
It put a smile on my face when you referred to her as Rey Palpatine and not Rey Skywalker

Another pretty cool one is the one malgus has, with the dual blade guard that would let you cut even if your lightsaber was off.

I love Ezra's first lightsaber. I understand that it's not very Jedi-like but it's unique and fun to watch someone use. It would have been cool to see Ezra get really good with it.
Good old star wars legends lore all these years later and its still awesome

Darksaber my favourite 100%
Fun fact in Canon about the dark saber it's considered a broadside saber which was not like the lot by the Jedi or the sith considering it was also considered not very sportsman but they did recognize how powerful and useful it was
Ezra's first lightsaber would be so practical. I'm kinda upset that the characters don't use the gun part of it up close, to create an opening. Like, if you get stuck in a bind with the opponent, you could just stun them and win the fight.
Ezra: *Shoots a stun bolt at an Inquisitor mid-saber lock*

I like the temple guards’ lightsabers because they made folding lightsabers cool. Also they were just freaking badasses
