I went to see Dave Ruffin, Dennis Edwards and Eddie Kendricks when they did a tour together in the UK. Sitting there looking at my idols all together singing was an incredible thing to happen in my life. It was a massive WOW!!!!!! moment. 😁
David ruffin was one of the (if not best lead vocalist) of the band at the time . He could definitely belt out the lyrics. It’s a shame his big ego and his drug addiction took him down. I believe if he didn’t have both of those vices he would have taken this band further than they went. Rip David ruffin and all the members that passed most so young.

My dad told me stories growing up when he was a bus boy at the ‘twin coaches’ in Pennsylvania back in the 60’s when the Temptations were touring with the Supremes and all the other Motown groups that one of the temptations (I can’t remember which one) gave my dad $20 to take my mom out and gave them front row seats to the show. Dad passed 2 years ago and mom 21 years ago. He also said he had to go back into the dressing rooms one time and seen Diana Ross with a bra on, she was rushing to get dressed and didn’t even care. There was more stories but I forgot them and can’t ask him now but he said it was a great time for Motown and all those groups
I remember Eddie had 1 lung removed and like a month later went to the middle east to tour with David and Dennis..He never should have done that. Eddie smoked 2 packs a day and hid it well from others..Also Melvin was Rick James uncle and why on Super Freak there is a quick clip of the temps..and Dennis was engaged to the Queen of Soul Aretha but was intimidated of her, well success..lol I never liked on the TV movie the Temps that they were not clear that Paul had sickle cell and why he was always drinking rather making him look more like a drunk.. :-(

For me it's hard to pick a favorite because Paul and Melvin could sing lead as well as David and Eddie. If I had to pick a favorite it would be Eddie
