I remember my bosses brother recommending me to watch that show going back in the day when it first came out. I didn’t think I would like it. After a couple of episodes I was hooked. 🤣😂🤣 I don’t live in NY anymore. But I have the entire Married With Children episodes on DVD box sets. What a show! It was out there! 👍🏽😂🤣😂

Bad writing? Au contraire. This show had some of the wittiest sarcastic humor on television. The quality did drop off in its last couple of seasons, though.
It stayed funny well past the life span of most shows, but yes the last couple seasons were not very good... but that's pretty common with most shows... still a classic sitcom that I enjoyed growing up with...
I watched it (we all did) but I'd only laugh now and then. The humor was very, very, cheap and predictable. As a late teen it introduced me to how stupid, ignorant and trite the rest of the world was.
To think David and Christine were the 2nd choice. They replaced the org 2 after 1 episode. They got that right. They were at a loss for Al. A lot auditioned Michael Richards aka Cosmo, Sam Kinison? Even Rosanne Bar for peg. But Ed came in, sat down, put his hand under his belt, sniffed around as if the room smelled and then went oh well, I'll live with it and got the part..lol
