I don't even know where to begin with writing this comment my friend, other than I really hope people click on this video and watch it. I think I enjoyed your version of the video much more than my own, and don't even get me started on how much I will always cherish that weekend. Hanging out with you, Bryan, Dad, Anna, and my brother was probably the coolest thing I have ever gotten to do on RUclips, I just wish more people would watch my video, Bryans, and yours, even if they don't get to see some crazy junkyard rescue, they will get to see all of us bonding and just having fun. John, thank you for everything you did for us at the house, and I wish the weather would have cooperated a little better for us, it definitely affected my brain in a negative manner, but regardless of that, I still had fun. You are always welcome at our place, take care my friend.
Jed I think even if the weather got hotter I would not have changed my plans, it is a treasured memory. The only thing I would change is I wish Rob could have made it and my videos would have worked out. All my Jezebel stuff was pics of my feet or the grass....Sooooo I'm relying on the future. Your family is amazing and your dad is a national treasure.
It was a great time. I wish I didn't have the camera issues there was so much missed that I will never forget. Scotts Speed Shop is a amazing place. Jed is a nostalgia junkie and that made it soo fun for me. Jed and family are all a class act.
Totally believable here. I have 18 before out of 440s and my buddy Lee 70 hemi charger we got to 18. I think this truck is going to hit 20 plus before im done .....gots lots of planssss
John this was such a great video! I've watched all 3 of you guys' collaboration videos and man I wish I was able to have been there. This is so awesome
Rob we missed you being there, better planning next time is necessary we need the ZEEEEEE there. You came up a bunch in conversation wish you were there!
I was a bit surprised but 3.23 rear and the distributor was off a mile. I think that street demon carb had a lot to do with it it lean on the primary side.
nice truck/had a 79powerwagon 4x4 250 clulb cab prospecter ed. got 8mpg all ways had 360 auto 410s duel tanks called here big blue 8foot bead . was a good truck

Lammy is well haven't been able to catch up with him for the last month but he was at the last weekvends race and all is well. He's been helping out one of the other racers helping him tune and drive. Lammy is 1 of the best at the lights I've ever seen
Thats awesome and amazing getting 16mpg, especially starting from 8ish. Did you do alot of magical tinkering or did she just come around after driving her a while. Thanks, always love to hear your input;-)
Maybe stretching its legs helped a bit. Two things made the difference, the carb is wide open too rich but at cruise its really lean. (Maybe to lean) non the less that carb was a big part of it. In combination with the distributor tweeks that were made. I will be putting out a vid later on what was done but the main thing is full time vacuum, quicker advance with limited total which make for a much higher initial timing. The third thing that help was just the drive it self. It was straight threw, never slowed for anything except gas and engine delivery and never was in the fast lane. I stayed at the limit most if the time after I was comfortable about the way the truck was driving. The truck was always driven before I got it as a daily work truck and not a lot of highway so even now if it was driven that way it would probably only get 12 or 13 I would guess.
@@talljohnsfunshop2722 Appreciate the explanation that even i can understand;-). Will be looking forward to your video. I have a 72 d100 with a 383- started life as 318 -3 on the tree. Nice acquisition my friend. 16 MPG for a decades old 440... not too shabby. Good times with friends. Thanks for sharing John!!
Thanks. I think I'm gonna be able to push it up to 20 or so mpg. And still preserve the power ill lay it out in the future.
John, that old 440 purred like a kitten after your tune-up at Scotts Speed Shop. Really enjoyed your video. Thanks.
Ole Jez and that other charger are bad ass. Glad your trip
Was safe! Welcome to the fam bananarama!!
