  • We’ve been talking quite a bit about making the most of your time. Whether it’s the time in each day, making the most of this year or making the most of whatever season or era of life you’re currently.
On that note, I thought this would be a great time to have a candid talk about being single. What I think every woman should know about her single era and making the most of singleness overall.
Being able to thrive, be happy and be truly content single is the perfect primer for being in a happy thriving relationship or living happily single for life. If you heed these tips, no matter where life takes you or what path you choose - you simply can’t lose!
So whether you’re currently single for a season or looking forward to a happily single life I want you to know you are not incomplete. You are a whole entire person capable of happiness and success. Being single is ok. Better than ok. And depending on who you are and what phase you’re in, it may be the best decision ever.
Whatever you choose, always make sure what you’re gaining is worth what you’re giving up.

If you are still single do not allow society to pressure you into getting into a relationship. Get comfortable with being with yourself and truly know what you want out of your life.

As a woman who married young, became a mother, and divorced said negligent spouse a decade later, I can say that everything shared in this video is on point. Appreciating the season you are in and embracing the journey of learning who you are is priceless. Holding onto who you are as you transition into marriage and motherhood is also quite invaluable. It’s never too late to truly connect with yourself, but it’s so much easier to do prior to having the responsibilities associated with nurturing, caregiving, and accommodating for others full time.
Best wishes to all of you on your journeys. ❤
Thank you again @TheFeminineUniverse for such a beautiful video, yet again! 🙏🏽🤍

Observe and have intimate, fun, and insightful conversations with elderly women. These wonderful spirits have gained wisdom through experience and honoring them this way can bring a sense of purpose full circle. It's extremely important that we do this. I love the way you included "practice" in your final point. Personally engaging with older women who demonstrate love, patience, generosity, courage in healthy ways will support your second point of knowing you and who you are. I can hear my dear mother's voice, grandmother's voice, and all the other older ladies in my neighborhood teaching me lessons that I still live by today. So, young queens please don't discount "old school" wisdom because one day you will walk the same path. Blessings and much to you all! Keep making these amazing videos. I love them!!

One thing I miss the companionship of a relationship. The bond the affection, those late night conversations and text messages. Having someone to take you to the airport, double date, share holidays with too. Do nothing Saturdays and Sundays weekends just you and your bae.
Now single life does come with less responsibility, less pressure, more freedom, but more reliability. You must rely on yourself and your social circle to stay as your best self. That means girls night in parties, brunch at the house or going out somewhere fancy together. Enjoying me time taking time to do what's best for you. A good book, a new class, shopping, catching up on great shows, a movie, museum, teaching yourself something new to sustain yourself. That's how you become better for the next relationship.

In an almost 5 year relationship now, my tips for IF you want one are:
    1. Don't try to find Love, Love will find you and it might bloom from a friendship or be instantaneous, If you look for love you often don' t find true Love as you come across as needy and or attract the bad kind of people who want to use you because you crave connection. after I let go of desperately looking for Love, I found it in the most unexpected places (we met on an online art website)
    2. EVERYONE has red flags, the only one you need to make sure they DON'T have is that they don't acknowledge their red flags and aren't willing to work on them. its not a red flag if they are willing to work on their bad traits. see if the red flags the do have are something you can deal with for a while until they work on it. not everything is malicious intent, some are mental health problems (depression etc) or disorders (autism, ADHD etc) or just how they grew up (Abusive household etc), their experiences in life (PTSD etc), most of these are not willingly done by them, no one asks to have depression or to be autistic; the important bit is that they are willing to change for your relationship and you are too. eg work on learning how to cope with PTSD so it doesn't affect the relationship that much.
    3. Being in a relationship doesn't mean you aren't yourself anymore and that you have to run always when your SO wants something, I am planning a solo trip overseas next year and my SO isn't coming simply because there was no interest from my partner for that location, but its a dream I've had since childhood and my partner has accepted that I am going.

I'm in my single girl era because although I could have been in a relationship, just like the video said I'd be by myself on a solid 9 and said person comes along with drama that reduces my happiness level to a 3. Said person believes we should be married but I felt like he truly needed some more work and maturity. (Me included)
Now I know I'm putting in the work to revel in my singleness and seeing as God is calling me to festoon with him in this season.
I am patient enough to trust that the way God is separating me, he's also doing same for my said future man.
Drop a like anytime you see this comment if this resonates so when my testimony comes full circle I'll definitely remember to come back and edit my comment y'all.

I'm not sacrificing at all when it comes to my alone and resting time. So, kids are not for me. I'll only give it a shot if i ever find a man who's worth building a family with. Up until now, I've only seen man-child type of men in my family and got into relationship with very immature men. It's either the ultimate worthy one or nobody at all. My peace is just way too precious to give up for a man.

As a married woman of 25 years ( about to get a divorce) do not accept what you do not want. If he cheats once, leave! Cheating is never a mistake. He will do it again. Do not get too caught up in being a wife or mom. Leave room to fulfill your dreams and feed your soul. If you love yourself, the Universe will send you the right person for you. Last, relationship do not have to be hard.

Your channel is the best here on yt for women especially black women. From your calm way of talking to the extended tips on how to live our best life on all levels. I take my hat off to you. I have always treated my self very well and i except nothing less from all others, even family. And how happy i am that you discussed the topic of putting men in their places for wanting whatever after taking us on a date or whatever. We spend more money on our upkeep than the cost of a date,so how dare he. And yes...we are grateful, but not stupid because we are used to goodness. Better treat me like a lady. This video is excellent. Merci beaucoup, mademoiselle.❤🎉

I love you're post because when I was in my late teens, I had the same mindset. I wanted to experience things first and go to College. I didn't want to be rushed into anything. My advice to you is to keep that mindset, and take your time with life. So when you look back on things, you'll see when you were at your best and have no regrets (even with your mistakes). Because having love and patience with yourself first, is the best Teacher.

I grew up needing to be strong and independent, my class threw rocks at me when I walked home and beat me up daily and no one did sh!t. (that's a mild thing that happened) life was hard so I had short hair (less likely to be grabbed) and trained in martial arts. I grew up without a father and my mother was rarely home, not her fault I wasn't a planned child I was a happy little accident and mum loves me but it was hard on her she had to work extremely hard so I had to grow up extremely quick and had to have thick skin. now I'm in a loving partnership and I'm still struggling to not do everything myself, I want to be soft now, I want to be able to have beauty products I had to learn hygiene and everything myself as my mum was a tomboy and I grew up like that too. I want to be delicate now and feminine while still being able to kick butt like a boss gal.
