- "Luxury is the opportunity to experience quality, be it a place, a person, or an object." - Keanu Reeves
We all want to live well. To have all the things we need plus a little something extra. We want to have beautiful experiences, see beautiful places and have beautiful things. There is nothing wrong with that! But we need to remember luxury isn’t just about stuff, it’s also a mindset. And this mindset opens you up to the world and attracts good things and good people to you. Whether you’re a student or a retiree. A bougie on a budget working gal. a single mom, a stay at home trying stretch the family budget. Or just a smart gal who likes to save money whenever she can, today I’m hoping to Not only share a few tips on how to live well while saving some coin, but also to expand how you think about luxury. All I ask in return is that you let me know what your favorite tip was or share some of your luxury on a budget tip down in the comments after each episode. Your tips are always so good! - Хобби
One of my favorite things to do on a budget is make my own coffee at home, but I add whipped cream, caramel drizzle and a hint of cinnamon. I feel so fancy and ready for my day ❤
Me too! I always buy different flavors of coffee and coffee syrups to create different coffee drinks. ❤
I do the exact same. With my coffee. Sometimes I’ll add a little nutmeg 😋
Girl me too! It saves me money and TIME 😂 cause the cofffe line up was always too long
100% agree! I refuse to pay $5 for a coffee. I brew iced coffee and keep it in the fridge for a few days. It’s amazing g what I can achieve for a few pennies.
So do I! I even add cinnamon to mine. I love it!
The best luxury gift you can give yourself is education .... And it doesn't have to be a degree. Go to a museum or art gallery .... Read a few excellent books .... Listen to some classical music. You are broadening your mind!
I concur ❤
Most definitely ! Art imitates life and those experiences build realistic perspectives.
Thank you so much for your comment.
👏
My luxury tip is invest in your health. Buy some good sneakers to work out with (your feet will thank u), go to the dentist every 6 months, go to the spa or get a full body message. Also invest in a good mattress and a pillow.
My fav tip is the DYI one. I started doing my own pedicure and it saved me a lot of money. Also started working out at home instead of the gym
"You were not put on this earth to collect things" Whew!
Love that duality - its great to have nice things but don't lose sight of the bigger picture ✨✨
Amen👏🏽
I have so many tips so let's go.
1) CLOTH
-Buy your cloth second hand or from a Destock shop you might find amazing pieces in a better budget. Always focus on quality and fit. Never take a cloth that doesn t look perfect on you in the moment. If you are not sure don t take it. No matter the price.
- If you know a sewer or know how to sew you can alternate cloth to make them perfect. Sometime Tailor aren't that expensive.
2) SHOES
- Invest on your shoes! Bad shoes can damage you feet Wich is dangerous for your health. But the can also put you in uncomfortable situation (slippery shoes, a sole that break...).
-never take shoes you can t walk in more than an hour
3) makeup /skin care
Because it s expensive doesn t make it better!
You might find drugstore makeup who work perfectly the same even better than luxurious ones. Just check the ingredient on internet.
Don t buy to much products! Products go bad in less than a year, finish those you have before having new one. And throw the old one that can damage your skin.
4) hygiene
Make it a priority. Watch content about it, learn how to care for your type of skin etc... Be curious. Hygiene talks loud! You can wear the simplest cloth if you are clean, well put together you will shine
I so second the tailor comment! I thrift most of my pants and have them tailored if need be. they come out perfectly every time, are so much more durable than many things you can buy new these days, and so affordable! Plus there’s always something luxurious about clothing made just for you ✨
Good shoes is very important. I'm recovering from a broken ankle due to poorly made boots.
Favorite tip: give yourself a version of the experience. My tip: do something that brings you joy EVERY SINGLE DAY
My favorite tip is to volunteer for organizations that are meaningful to you. You're putting some good out in the world, but you're also networking and many volunteer positions will have some sort of perk. If you can't afford tickets to that fabulous fundraising gala, maybe you can help run it and get to attend for free. Many orchestras and theaters allow volunteer ushers to stay for the performance for free. I know someone who sees several Broadway touring productions for free every year by doing this.
Thanks for the tip!
My version of luxury is freedom of time. I can do whatever i want whenever i want, that's why i quit my 9-5 job, ofcourse i don't have money as much as my salary, but i have time that never can be replaced by money. I find my purpose, nya true self, true love and true friend while i am enjoying my long long precious time ❤
my goal
Where do you get money from now though?
Saaaaame!!!! And I’m so grateful for this!
@@bunniewoodgood question 😊
A great lesson I’ve learned with discounts and in life is it never hurts to ask. Recently I was buying a new bathing suit online and was told I couldn’t combine two discount codes. I could have given up there, but instead I kindly and respectfully asked if an exception could be made. Within a day, they said yes! I ended up with an extra $30 in savings all because I courteously asked for what I wanted.
Thank you for this! As a single mom with two daughters, I’m trying to teach them the soft life even though I’m not financially where I want to be right now, it’s coming ❤. Thank goodness I went to cosmetology school 😅
Exactly! You can live luxuriously and soft on a budget.
How old are you daughters? Maybe at home pedicures will be a good idea. Sorry if is too silly 😊. I like to do that.
Thank you sis ❤
Sweetest mommy 💕
I love the idea of getting a VERSION of a particular luxury. For example, going to the hotel restaurant if we can't affort to stay at the hotel. Pure genius, you have some of the best ideas and presentations I've seen on RUclips. I appreciate you!😊💜
“Luxury starts in the mind, then we work our way outwards” This is what I needed to hear ❤.
One of my favorite things to do on a budget is to make myself a nice quiet dinner. I have my favorite dish ware, music, and my wine glass whether it’s wine, water, or my fav juice in it. I am a solo parent and these moments I create like this really help me to reset and be present in the moment.
The wine glass thing is so effective! Makes even water feel so fancy
I am all about using beautiful dinnerware, glassware, flatware and table linens.
24, mom to be, recently married and moved in with my husband. Just discovered your channel as I'm on my biggest mental growth process yet. There's no one in this platform I've identified with more, from the way you speak to the way you respect the world around you, making sure we all stay humble and do good while still being feminine and powerful. Not everyone gets this and you do. I admire the way you think and we all have so much to learn with you... Please keep up your amazing work!
I truly appreciate this heartfelt message, love! I'm so glad my content resonates with you so deeply. You've pinpointed some of my exact intentions for this channel. I love that I'm attracting a like-minded tribe of kind, powerful, feminine women to learn, grow and thrive with. So thrilled to have you here! Much more to come 💕💕
My favorite tip was to have a version of the experience you desire. I am going to do that. Being 74 I also appreciate your including women of a certain age. We can use the tips and advice also. I would like to see a little more for us older women.
I love the first tip of focusing in gratitude of what you do have! One of my favorite quotes from Dallin H. Oaks is, "You can never get enough of what you don't need,, because what you don't need won't satisfy you." Prioritizing what makes you feel successful and pampered with what you can afford is smart. This allows you to save for the things that will truly matter without feeling like you are lacking or missing out.
What a genius thought! This applies also to experiences and even FOOD 😁
Loves the inclusion of children and family into the experiences. Yes, teach them from s young age what luxury is all about, and how to feel comfortable wherever they are!
Thank you for sharing! One of the tips my mentor mentioned was investing in your favorite brands (that have dividends) and not buying from that brand until the dividends pay you enough so you don’t have to one out of pocket
genius!
My favorite tip was the last one: get a version of the experience ☺️✨
One of my favorite's too! Thanks for watching, love 💕
I discovered your channel about 2 weeks ago and fell in love. You're a cut above all the other femininity channels with your tips and tricks as well as you inclusivity. Please never stop making content!
Wow, thank you! Welcome to the family, love! So happy to have you here 💕💕
I love the advice of going to luxury restaurants and creating an aspect of the experience even if you can't do the whole thing. Having to drink at the bar is definitely a vibe❤❤❤
Yes me and my girlfriends already do this, I’m so glad she included it here
IT IS SAID , IF U CHANGE HOW U LOOK AT THINGS , THINGS YOU LOOK AT WILL CHANGE😉
Yes, I had afternoon tea twice at the George V in Paris to experience the ambiance, luxury and abundance of a 5 star hotel. It was amazing.❤
Not a raggedy, miserable person😂 Love this vid and channel, please never stop💖
Haha! Sometimes you just have to say it like it is😅 A nice bag won't cure a bad attitude. More to come, love! 💕
Give yourself a version of the experience is the perfect little push to try some new, luxurious things this summer! The DIY tip is so true! My nails are so short and don't really grow, so I fell in love with getting my nails done. Started doing my nails during covid and got pretty good at it. Saves me $200-300 a month(acrylic + pedicures + tip)! I'd love to hear more about services you do for yourself if you're comfortable sharing, maybe I can add another service to my diy list😊 Can't wait for the next episode!
Same!
Been doing my own nails since March 2020 🥂💅🏽
My absolute favorite luxury is getting my mani & pedis every 2 weeks. It start there for me.
This could also be seen as maintenance
@@NOLA-le7rl Your correct lol
I enjoy going to fancy places and just enjoy the vibes even if it means I just order something small.
this is me
Yes! The ambiance is better than the food sometimes! For some reason, I find that many places that look low key have excellent food, and many fabulously decorated, expensive places have food that's just alright. The drinks are always spectacular though 😊
i love the “get a version of the experience” tip.. really hit home, and i intend to use it 😍❤️
Gratitude is very important to attract abundance. In my own life, I notice that when I am more grateful, I attract more valuable things and see positive traits in people. Compared to the mindset where I'm complaining and being suspicious of everyone around me.
This is in my top 10 videos this year from you. I especially love tips #1 (raise vibration) and #2 (treat yourself well). Here's a tip: I got my first luxury handbag by saving my American Express card reward points and purchasing a gift card from Saks Fifth Avenue. You can also use credit card reward points to upgrade to first class on flights.
This is such a good tip! Never thought about this.
I'm so glad you enjoyed this one so thoroughly, Monique! I always appreciate hearing from you, but this tip is just a total gem! I will be including credit card rewards in the next luxury mindset episode 😊
I can do my own hair, nails and pedicure
Its relaxing to me. What stresses me out is grocery shopping in bulk. So I order my groceries and have for a few years. Its my form of self care. Not forcing myself to do something that gives me anxiety is one way I keep my vibes high :)
What i personally love is skills to make my own clothing from design sketch to Actual garments ❤. Cause i know what materials suit well, what goes good on my body then self care with skincare and more❤
You could turn that into a well-paid business if you wanted to! Those skills are in demand!
@@halcyondays8945 you figured out my plan xD
I made it a priority for me to focus on my goals. I want that luxury lifestyle, but I know I need to be hardworking to get there. I’m glad I found this channel.
Numbers 5, 6 and 7 resonate really well. I've been broke but NEVER poor. I have champagne taste on a sparkling wine budget. Thank you soo much for this reminder Sistah-Gurl...love your content🌹
Same.......
Colleges and schools that teach us hair styling and beauty treatments are always on the look out for volunteers to practise on.
Its not the bags, tags or make up...Its you, your confidence and attitude. That being said ...girl if I could get my hands on some botox and a syringes I would b set for LIFE!...LOL
My mindset has me in a penthouse but right now I’m in a 2 bedroom loving apt soon come soon come. ❤
Love that! It soon come - amen 🙏🏾
“You were not put on this earth to collect things…” BIBLE ❤
I just love this channel. My favorite…Luxury Begins In The Mind
I can't imagine living this kind of life; it's like a dream come true.
Favorite tip was go to more adorable Neighborhood for salon services 👏🏽👏🏽
I’ve learned gratitude and tasteful complements were my first step to leveling up to a luxurious life! ❤😊💎👑
I’m all for a cabin in the mountains! My goal is to live in one with my husband and sons. I’m big on my curly hair care and skincare and nail care as well. And healthy eating. Love these videos so much girl.
It's so beautiful that you have a handle on what makes you authentically happy! Cheers to that cabin in the mountains 😉💕
I taught myself how to tone, treat and cut my own hair through RUclips videos. I only found one stylist who did my hair right, and when she moved to New York City, I could never find a stylist that could match what she did. I gave myself a butterfly cut, and I learned how to tone my hair, as well as how to do the “Malibu makeover” on my hair to get rid of the mineral buildup before toning, and I get so many compliments on my hairstyle and color.
I love the tip to treat yourself to a luxury experience. Even if it’s on a budget, it’s a totally different experience to drink a hot chocolate from a high-end coffee shop versus drinking a hot chocolate from Starbucks.
Thank you for this Sunday Morning gem!
You are so welcome, love! Always great to hear from you 😊💕
Thank you so much for this video .. starting the week off right ! I needed to hear all of these tips but my favorite tips were:
1. Get a version of the experience
2. Figuring out what luxury is for yourself
I can’t wait for the next episode ! Please continue doing this edifying work 💐💐💎
But I’m not going to stop being kind because we need always. Sending love and light ladies
DIY & Delegate ❤❤❤
The store front salons are always the absolute best trust that
Praise the lord. Happy Sunday. Thank u.
This video is so timely and so good! Thank you as always for dropping gems 💜💜💜
I make my own skin care, buying all the ingredients might seem expensive in the beginning but over time saves money, and i know exactly what i'm using .😊
Honestly, I needed to watch so many videos today and this was definitely one of them! I have been feeling low because I don't have the means ✨Yet✨ to get the luxury experiences I see and you know what? Instead of being sad I cant do those things yet I am going to do the things I can do! If there is a will there is a way!😤💞
Amen, sister! ❤Loved this!
My favourites tip shared in this video and one I’ll take on board is try an element of the luxury experience, a cup of tea at a high end cafe, a dessert at a luxury restaurant etc. thank you for sharing your tips
💕 I love this! Much needed inspiration!
Thank you for the reminder of what true luxury is all about. Loved this video! ❤🙏🏽
Absolutely!! You're welcome, love 💕💕
Love the straightforwardness of these videos. Brings me so much light.
I wont lie I'm afraid of getting my nails done in a salon, I've avoided spa places because I fear what people will think of me but I really want to try it yet I'm scared of my first experience being horrible. I did look at some stuff and I like the BIO sculpt idea as its more friendly towards the nails and a tad bit more eco friendly, I often also don't feel like I can have luxury things because I care about the planet and people say luxury is bad for the planet. nevertheless I enjoy my pamper Cleopatra style (milk) bath on a full moon aka once a month, pink clay mask even though I'm not a pink girl, lovely flower petals, floral scents, candles, delicious fancy tea I buy from specialist shops, fluffy bathrobe and more than usual skin care, its something I look forward to
Thank you for such a wonderful video! I absolutely loved it. One of my favorite takeaways was the suggestion to focus on investing in hair services if hairstyling isn't your strong suit. It's a great tip that I'll definitely keep in mind. Additionally, I really appreciated the reminder about the fun experience of watching outdoor movies. It sounds like a perfect way to enjoy the summer evenings while saving for a future splurge.
I really loved this! I appreciate the budget tips and for reminding me that I am valuable and I can live luxuriously and stay within my budget. Thanks again for also reminding us that it's not all about material things!
Great tips especially the “services in cheaper areas” and “ get a version of the experience”
Yea! I'm happy that we have a new video
I love how practical and bite-sized the tips you give are, it really sets you apart from other channels.
Love this! The things you speak about are just so perfect. What’s my definition of luxury… that’s what I’ll be reflecting on. Thanks ❤
I love that your videos are short and sweet but ALWAYS VERY INFORMATIVE 💯
Always inspirational videos and at the right moment! Thank you ❤
Definitely incorporating the diy tip into my routine, and also raising my vibration !!!
This video is on point! Thanks for sharing ❤
Special lady xx great advice.
I absolutely love how you incorporate children in this! Thanks for all the great tips❤
my favorite part was TREAT YOURSELF!!! i am a single mother of 2 and i often forget to treat myself or i feel guilty doing for myself when i do for my babies 24/7
My favorite was finding what you truly like and also having a version of the experience
Absolutely love this video ❤
My fave is tip 1 before I listen to the rest cause that totally me and it's a charm. A grateful heart is the best... You will always feel you have more than enough
The last tipp was perfect. Please more of this videos
So many helpful tips!
Amazing video. Looking forward to Part 2 💙
The fragrance thing is something I began doing when I wanted to smell good, but money was tight. That and I like knowing I will use all of it instead of wasting a whole bottle. I love nice things, but I don't believe in paying nice prices unless it's an investment piece or for a special occasion.
Thank you as always Lady, you said it all.
This is beautiful information, thank you ❤. I will definitely add these gems into my life. Happy Sunday
Lovely video🙌🏾
Thanks for all the tips and tricks❤️😊
I love this message 💖💖💖💖
This is my definition of Luxury
Great content! I have a combination of my favorite tips.
Treat yourself well, Luxury starts in the mind and finally, You deserve nice things and nice treatment.❣
I’m always so happy when I see a new video on your channel❤
My DIY's are:
1. Eyebrows
2. Nails
3. Teeth Cleaning
Saving for:
1. Trips
2. Inventory for Small Business
This comes at the right time!
I also HIGHLY and STRONGLY recommend signing up for memberships with airlines and the most popular hotel groups like Hilton or Marriott. There are multiple ways to earn points with the memberships that you can use later. Like with Marriott, I earn points by pairing my Uber and Uber Eats accounts so certain orders and trips turn into points with Marriott. My United Airlines MileagePlus membership I earn a lot of points just doing my regular shopping both online and off. This is especially a good idea if you have a major trip planned in the future. Then of course those memberships often have point multiplier events or certain stores will offer more points for a period of time. It's worth it!
How inspiring and how wise! Thank you! This video is one to watch every morning.
First tip is my favorite🎉❤. Happy Sunday, ladies🎉❤
