- Philadelphia police released new video showing the moments leading up to a deadly shooting in Fairmount Park.
According to police, 30-year-old Taion Carter was shot and killed during an argument in a parking lot on Kelly Drive on July 16.

Very sad. There is a direct, causal relationship between violence by young men and being raised in single parent families. Boys need a positive, loving male role model who will teach them the role of a godly male. There is a profound loss of that and we are all paying the price.

And look for quick fixes and instant gratification which usually always leads to unsteady crumbling foundations(these weak dudes don't even understand that they're still going to be broke the next day after robbing or killing...and they could be doing a lot of prison time because they did something that never was going to better their life.

I've never been told that I think illogically by anyone till now. At the beginning of my original comment I said that all these guns are insane, which they are. My intent was to state that every day in every city I watch news reports of young mostly black men having wild shootouts in the middle of the street in broad daylight with no regard for life. Whether black white or other, YOUTH are one of our greatest commodities as they will build the future. The fact that they are killing one another at a rate NEVER seen before IS a TRAGEDY. Not to mention the youth that are not even involved in the shootings other than being at the wrong place at the wrong time (innocent bystanders). Yes, I know that CRIMINALS will ALWAYS have guns. My point was that growing up in New York in the 80s, there were never this man guns NOR the amount of people inclined to use them at the drop of a hat, sometimes seemingly for no reason at all. Something is tragically abhorrent and evil with alot of these young people. Something had tragically gone wrong somewhere. I'm sure there are many reasons but it is sad and in order to at least stay safe as individuals, we must first NOTICE these trends as well as monitor them.

In truth this is a tragic loss for him, his family and his community. Have Al Sharpton or Ben Crump contacted the family to offer help or comfort? BLM on the scene?
