Fun little detail about this level! Whenever you leave the shop, the platforms and traps don't do anything for a couple seconds, *cause they go with the beat.*
The fact that those exact seven notes kept replaying through the whole stage just made me feel so sad for phantom who had to keep repeatedly playing those 7 notes over and over again so humanity and his last hope wouldn‘t be lost until he finally snaps and keeps on playing those notes for so long until you show up.
This song, no matter past or future, really motivated me, man. Like it try to tell me to not give up on hope. Part of it feel super mellowed, make me think of all on the efforts i have put on my life yet still failed horribly, it just make me to give up. But part of it, especially the 7 note repeatedly on the end, light the fire of hope in me, keep telling me to try, try, try , that's all those efforts were not useless.
I know I've said it before but the music in this game really feels like it was designed like this first then split in two. Present and future being two halfs of a whole, intended to be combined back with one another. This one is a perfect example of that.
yeah two of them were sliiightly off in speed. Rainbowdragoneyes didn't think anyone would notice x3 And to be fair, it's really only something you're gonna notice in this specific instance, haha. you'd never know it otherwise
KAMEHAMEHA!!!! To that final boss. Man, not many music tracks bring a tear to my eye up until I first heard this, and knowing that the music box was the final gift Phantom's beloved gave to him before her passing, and the melody was her final repose. It really pulled me in since I'm such a fan of time related games, this really threw me for a loop, pun intended. XD
@@TemmiePlays I beat the game, so yes. When is it? I'm so getting it. Only died 2 times in my New Game + file. I have 42/45 Power Seals collected. Almost not worth the last 3 to get a shuriken upgrade. Turns it into a shield like in Ninja Gaiden, hence the endless references. XD But still, looking forward to it. :P One of the best platformers I have played in a good while, music was amazing, and those 4th wall breaks... They were epic.
Messenger is GOTY for me because of this. Not only the game is fucking badass on its own, have its own quirks and self-awareness, but you're treated with world-building. ALSONINJASMAKEEVERYTHINGBETTER
I really like this song very much. It sets the tone for the final stage very well and is beautiful. I really dig that the hazards on this level go along the rhythm.
I really like video game levels where the gameplay is tied to the rhythm of the music like the messenger music box area and the rayman legends music levels, it's such a cool mechanic
This song reminds me of "Overcome", from the Master System version of Ninja Gaiden, and the last stage theme from the Game boy version, Ninja Gaiden Shadow.
@cycobear86 yeah, when you're playing normally. Not when you're combing through it at a quick pace to finally get the last screenshots I needed to be done with these videos.
@cycobear86 yeah, that was something else I wanted to try and keep for each one, but I think I messed up a few. sometimes it's hard to die when you want
Man I loved this OST as an all but they really save the best for last, I instantly loved this song IMO the best track of the game, fitting for our final task.
it turns out that for the battle music too, there was an organ track i had missed all those years ago. so i made it right and its in the playlist now, jhaha! psyched for the nebveer gonna happen spinoffs ? xD at least we get sea of stars, but im kinda sad the messenger ends after picnic panic
@@nesoukkefka1741 just played it and personally, the ending felt underwhelming. Phantom wasn't even that hard and we don't even get to fight the mask. You just mash space and you win.
Man I have never been so pumped up by a song before! Side note, were you using a recording of the track in-game or the official soundtrack to remix these? I've been trying to remix this level with the soundtrack and unlike all the other tracks these two aren't in time with one another.
i took it directly from the game files, the soundtrack isnt set up for looopin ;3 in the files, there's 2 parts to every song - the intro bit, and the main bit. you can loop the main bit over and over, the intro bit is attached to the soundtrack files, though. SO it's not easy to loop. also, a couple tracks arent perfectlky timed ( this being one of them, the other being the Shoppe theme) Rainbowdragoneyes didn't think anyone would notice ;3
on a side note, ( =p ) the music box level can get away with it, due to how the game culls out the track after death and basically holds the other track ready to be played , a few milliseconds behind the other.this way when you warp, go to a hoppe, or die - it links up perfectly.
While the 8-bit and 16-bit themes aren't available on RUclips separately, I'll take this rendition cuz I really love it. Keep up the good work
oh they are up, rainbowdragoneyes posted the whole soundtrack
ruclips.net/video/YFOa9SErWzY/видео.html
Yeah but I mean the Music box themes individually and not the entire soundtrack
oh XD
They're out there, I've found them. In fact I'm annoyed that nobody's extended them yet, but at least we have this!
Fun little detail about this level! Whenever you leave the shop, the platforms and traps don't do anything for a couple seconds, *cause they go with the beat.*
Yeah, i figured that one out pretty early on, since the music restarts when you die. I died a lot.
Yep that was such a nice touch ^^
Thought i was the only one to notice. Got clapped to a ceiling for that...

Listening to this song forever wouldn’t be a bad thing tbh
There's 8 notes, actually
Until the Messenger does the thing.
This song is the melody to break the curse. The melody later on when your approching phantom is the song he's been playing forever ago.
I love the melancholic feel of this track. It really tells how much Phantom has lost it all.
@cycobear86 Amigo, eso es tan profundo como la mierda (Amigo, that's deep as fuck) (I'm "studying" Spanish lol)
and at the same time is sounds just epic enough to convey the feeling that this is the final and hardest challange
@@yosefyonin6824 except it wasn't the hardest
@@Marc-rw3dd pretty damn sure only the picnic panic levels were arder thanthe music box
This blends so well together it almost sounds like it was meant to be like that in the first place.
haha, yeah.
My God I fucking loved this game so much. Such an amazing soundtrack with equally amazing storyline and graphics.
the game is mental :)

As a sucker for rhythm games, this stage is naturally my favorite.

it would seem this way~ but it's not!
Two tracks actually don't even sync up properly, I had to run it through my DAW to fix it, haha :3
@@TemmiePlays Oh you sneaky little sausage. You pulled one over on me.
Still I'm happy that this exists.

the 2nd time in the game that the game gets really serious.
when the level theme is so good it lasts perfectly for 15 minutes
I'm rather surprise how well the 2 version blend so well together
If you think about it, they would have to. Since they have to be able to seamlessly transition between one another.
Voodkin Shore.
Extra cool pro tip: obstacles won’t move for the first 10ish seconds of the them. Use this to your advantage!
this is true!~
Not only my favorite game piece, but possibly my favorite musical piece of all time, period.. keep it up, @rainbowdragoneyes!
I've found my new ringstone!
Phew! Man! What a doozy of a final level.

esta melodía es la mejor de todo el juego, y ni hablar de la batalla contra phantom, una de las mejores
Es mi segundo nivel favorito del juego. El primero es Searing Crags.
Es épico ese ost también
Tambien esta chido, igual Sunken Shrine

Good to know
Momento grabar y subir todo el juego, juego desde pc jajjzb
Saque todos los logros y no se me hizo pesado con el buen soundtrack que tiene.
