I would love these "spontaneous" brand battles more often. Having them as a series puts some expectation on them, whereas this allows you to just pick products you think compare!
Yeah i think it works best for thick hair types bc I've tried both and I'd have to say that the forte clay does a better job for my hair than the blumaan texture clay
I think it also depends on your hair type how the product is working for you. Alex said in one of his videos that the product works best with thick hair
I was actually into both of them...until Robin introduced me to the Moroccan Texture clay. Since the first time trying it out..fell in love with it. It has everything was looking for in a clay....high hold matte finish, tons of texture, super matte finish. Thanks robin! Hope to see a full review video for this texture clay as well!
Pure unadulterated, honest and entertaining. This is why I’ve been subscribed so long! Lovin’ it Robin From all the way down in Croydon, your killin it mate!
I tried the blumaan discovery series and I've gotta say the cavalier clay was my least favorite, but it looks like it's working great for your hair type! The scent reminded me of very sweet playdoh and my hair just looked unbelievably greasy after a few hours. Considering I didn't like CC, I highly doubt I'll like "sonic the hedgehog" forte lol. Always appreciate the honesty Robin.
I really wonder how you are going to surpass the previous season of brand battle, cuz it seems already perfect haha. (And when are you going to make a review about the Morrocan Texture Clay?)
I bought blumaan cavalier clay before and my concern is if you using it the first time day 1 is good, but it is a heavy product, my hair weigh down with this product and seems not natural interms of light and movement , and then I try black label craft clay.. I like that better its not weigh down and seems more natural, now Iam using the best from Arcadian clay pomade, looks natural and strong enough but still pliable and almost all the ingredients are natural, wash easily
Great video. Would love to see you critique O’Douds Dry Wax, Dauntless Matte Paste, Templeton Tonics Oasis Clay and Arcadian Matte Paste (I don’t buy without your advice ☺️)
Keep it up! Always love your honesty! I come to your channel when I want to find the best products because you actually keep things real. Thanks, Robin!
This is amazing thank you for this vid I was thinking about getting either or but wasn’t sure which one to get, this really helped especially considering the fact that I have thin hair like you. So thanks again!!
I think Blumaan’s products have the best packaging. The artist who created the the design did a flawless job. It’s just so perfect, but I guess Robin and I have different tastes in packaging
i like alex costa cause he seems like a more genuine person unlike the blumaan guy which gives off a little narcissistic vibe but i have to say blumaan is definitely the better product
Great Brand Battle! I have used both these products as well. Plus Moroccanoil Texture Clay and Label M Matt Paste. For my hair (which is fairly thick and slightly wavy), I find myself going back to Cavalier Clay every time. It’s my daily wear and my preference. Agree with everything Robin says here about both Cavalier Clay and Forte. He is right on the money with his review.
Finally found someone that got same hair type. With your hair do you straighten them with straightner because i have to otherwise it wouldn't hold up and will go flat regardless of the product. I will appreciate your process of styling
Hey Robin, this Brand Battle was definetly a pleasant surprise! If you do decide to make another season of this series, I'd love to see a little more diversity in terms of types of products (Pomades, Waxes, or just different levels of shine in general). Last season every single Brand Battle dealt with matte products which I find kind of boring (not trying to be rude about it but that's how I feel). I don't know how the other viewers feel about that but I'd like to see more diversity. Of course this is your show, but I hope you appreciate the feedback :)
Great review. Especially as it relates to products created by other youtubers who offer similar content to your own. It is refreshing to see you are not uptight about mentioning other content creators. subscribed:)
You should make a series of a hair product showdown like eliminating products and making a chart for what hair product is truly the best in its category
So I watched an older review of blumaan vs some other brand that had the same packaging as the Forte one has now and you preferred the blumaan packaging which is a little contradicting won’t you say
I would love to see a new Brand Battle of the Dynamite Clay by Vilain , because they changed the formula. It is way easier to apply now. Would like to hear your opinion about it in a Video! 👍🏻😊
I got sent a small jar of Dynamite clay. It is hard to scoop and break down. I got a nice hold and finish but honestly its waaay too dear for what it is. I'd pick cavalier every time
@@derekisludicrous9203 it works well. the hold was pretty good and lasted me for my usual outing durations (I never really stress tested the duration haha I always wash it off when I get home) I've been using it ever since I got it. but I don't really have a good point of reference cause this is the first hair clay I've used but it works for me
Another great Upload Robin, I've been going for a scissor cut like yours through winter... but i'm really considering shorter sides for summer. Have any plans for a summer hair look when it starts to heat up? Keep up the great work~!
Robin, could you please do a barber tutorial on your current hairstyle? I have a lot of hair but very fine and always flop even tho i use nioxin's thickening sprays...
Hey robin i been using blueeman clay for the last 2 years but lately i felt that my hair has become soft, im latino and my hair used to be tough and i am kind of scare that i willlose my hair because of hair product (im 27 yrs old),
The one thing I always find very confusing when I watch one of your videos is the way you apply hair product. It seems like you only coat the outside of your hair and don't really work it into the roots. Is there a particular reason for that? Also afaik these products are meant for thicker hair and I believe you have rather thin hair, maybe that's something you should mention in future reviews and or brand battles
If u would have done a little research and found out how to use forte by alex costa himself,he agrees that the clay is hard and recommends to use a dryer over the clay and melt it a lil bit which makes it easier to apply/style.
I tried alpha m’s Pete & Pedro putty, and I’m finishing up Alex Costa’s Forte series and they both worked really great and now I’m gonna try Blumaan products next
Hey, Robin, you know what could be interesting? Either Brand Battles or Reviews of “health” hair products. Something like leave in conditioners or masks or things like XMondos Eletric Rain, and whatnot. Feel like this is a not that explored topic in the hair world of youtube. Love the red and blue backgrounds, btw.
I have the completely same experience with both products Robin - thanks for confirming it ;) Nevertheless : I have Asian hair hard to style so I prefer Forte due to its superior hold. See you guys
Please review the Orient’t Clay Pomade. I would love to hear your opinion on it. It really is different than any other clay. It has diatomaceous earth as second ingredient but it’s not like HDF Quicksand at all. Please give it a try.
Cavalier Clay is great, I've been using it for years (around the random "trying new products" phases) and I keep coming back to it. I use the Meraki as a prestyler, gives it extra hold, but works well on its own as well. Also a big fan of Baxter clay pomade, if you're looking for a similar product with more shine and a bit less hold.
Great video! I have a question btw, could I wear hair tonic (I currently have the Cloud Control) and hair mousse (I currently have Bumble and Bumble’s Thickening). I put the tonic on damped hair, then the hair mousse and then I blow dry
Think you could do some hairstyle to try get a full day out of them for like a harder job? Like for someone who works in a harder type of labour intensive hold that still looks good by the end of the day haha?
Oooo la la... Didn't expect one brand battle after the last season so soon! Keep it up! Please do a brand battle for FHS clay pomade vs Oasis/White Whale clay or maybe even Morrocanoil!

Alex Costa's mood throughout the vid
😌😍❤️❤️🙄🤔😩😢😭😭😭😭😭😭
Priyanshu Singh That was my mood after I paid for his clay that’s actually a wax.
Dayummmmmm
😂😂😂
The Fonz
ik its sooo bad
its has a strong hold
the forte has a strong hold but it is too much compared to the caviler clay which i luv
This just made me remember that you still need to review morrocanoil texture clay!!
cavalier clay is probably de best one for blumaan, I tried shevoo clay too and both are almost similar
It's interesting that Joe from Blumaan was involved in Forte but it seems to be an inferior product
Smells a bit fishy if you ask me!😂
Well he didn't make all the decisions so that's probably why.
I think Joe is just that kinda dude who isnt greedy
A cat didn't teach lion how to climb a tree so yeah.
That God damnit Joe son of a fox😅🤣🤣
I use forte and have no problems it’s the best hair clay I’ve used out of all ( btw I have thick hair like Alex costa)
Yeah i think it works best for thick hair types bc I've tried both and I'd have to say that the forte clay does a better job for my hair than the blumaan texture clay

all clays are meant for thick hair, forte just isn’t that good
AfterArtz I agree blumaan cavalier clay is the king of all hair clays
Alex said forte is for ppl who have wavy or unruly hair
I use the Forte for the top back of part of my hair cos of its strong hold & prevents my hair from sticking up.... the rest of my hair I use Odoud’s
