ALSO, as far as the warrior glyph goes, “frenzied assault” increases attack speed while wielding TWO HANDED weapons. Not dual wielding. Therefore, rather than making dual wield more powerful in pvp, this is designed for exactly the opposite: to make 2h more viable in pve.
the next passive right after that was a dual wield passive that gives 10% physical dmg and MS buff...
@@Trickstini what does this have to do with anything? That’s the “single minded fury” rune. Entirely separate from “frenzied assault”. Meta read off the frenzied assault rune, and stated that it was for dual wielding, and pvp, when it blatantly says it’s for 2h, and would obviously therefor benefit 2h pve (this was literally added as a talent in later expansions to do just that). So my previous comment/correction is still dead accurate. Also, I don’t make the corrections to be a Dick. I’m a long time supporter of meta, and he’s actually supported my meme builds by shouting me out. Just trying to help get the proper info out there for people 😊

Originally, mages were healers as healing used arcane magic. Paladins were the only ones that followed the light, and the light was a power that came from inside themselves and not from the Naaru. I've still got all the Warcraft RPG books that were cannon before wow, and all arcane magic had addiction properties that eventually would corrupt you if you failed too many checks. It was pretty cool.

I loved Glad stance PvP, especially with Spell Reflection and Shield Slam removing buffs.
"Main Gauche" rogue ability is basically in French which simply means "left hand"

Main gauche is not just French for left hand, it's also a type of weapon or weapon fighting style with which the combatant uses a short sword/long special dagger (in their left hand - or rather, in the hand that isn't their predominant hand, as the predominant hand will be holding the main weapon) in order to disarm their opponent, or parry, or get in some cheeky extra jabs, etc.
A "maddening poison" that creates threat would be a nice thing (I mean, creating more pain than doing actual dmg would be a way to create threat). a stackable dot like the bleed effect of druid in wotlk.
I play disc on retail and usually heal on classic. Kinda interesting arcane mage getting atonement style healing via runes.

Finally, Resto Druid will have something to do when not needing to cast heals. I always wanted Resto Druid to use a wand, now we can cast Wrath with no mana cost. Im loving it!

They will probably remove tree form again... I'm mad about it... if you want to dps as a resto druid just change form then pop back into tree form... it's like og stance dancing
@@Sathinrah I don’t like melee combat, and I want something that doesn’t take away my healing mana. So either a wand or a free wrath is perfect for Resto Druid.

Just one thing though, On warrior section Friendzied assault doesn't concern dual welding but 2H weapons. It changes quite a lot actually and give single 2H weapon an advantage in pvp in my opinion.
I hope they will add runes to warrior because it's really poor for pvp. I feel that we can't win any matchup that should be normally our main targets. Warrior need some love :D

I am really excited about SOD. This is the most interesting version of classic that i ever seen before. Even more than LK, and this last one is my favorite one so far.
The biggest issue with a shadow priest in classic is going oom. I don’t see anything here that’s going to change that.
I dont think this is going to be anywhere near balanced. Its just going to completely flip the meta in a way that will make the game feel fresh.
Shadow form isn't unlockable at 25 anyways. There are likely to be future runes to update this when it becomes a viable playstyle

You read AG from shamans wrong @10:00 . It converts the 25% damage done to healing. THEN it converts all of that healing as EXTRA DAMAGE to the target with flame shock

Looks like feral druid will be viable. Yet I remember when feral druid was made briefly viable at the very beginning of Burning Crusade, only to be nerfed back into heal bot only status in patch 2.0.10. Waiting to see if Blizz pulls the same shtuff in Season of Discovery before giving them anymore money.

Hey meta. I’d just like to add that the rogue poisons on horse side maybe not being viable because of windfury, is an irrelevant argument anyway, since, as you stated, druids are getting a windfury ability now too. So it would be just as irrelevant on ally side now too. Which leads me to believe, they’ll probably Uber buff the poisons, or change how wiffy works.
The druid ability doesnt interfere with poisons. So neither horde or alliance rogues need to worry. Shamans will probably use the threat reducing air totem instead of winfury in raids.

9:31 - not sure why you said "weirdly" about shamans getting tanking runes since in vanilla they had plenty of talents to help tank as a shaman and abilities like earth shock causing threat and rockbiter weapon helping to cause threat, but was just an unfinished playstyle overall so it's nice to see the runes to help fill in the gaps just like protection paladins xD

Yup, its a term commonly used for a form of parrying dagger wielded in the offhand, and is funnily enough, the name of Combat Rogue's Mastery back before Legion Outlaw change.

It's funny cuz it sounded like u saw warlock tank as a concept that's not new to u but Shaman tank was a weird concept, as for me Shaman should've already been able to properly tank and Lock tank came out of left field

Redoubt already exists in classic as demonstrated there 🤔 aegis is essentially the TBC version of Redoubt, which is why it won’t stack with classic redoubt

Id love it if they add Dual Spec, im will roll Paladin Tank and Druid Tank, but it would be awesome if i can just switch to DPS or Heal easily. Warlock Tank also looks interesting so i might try that .
Runes are swappable any time out of combat so that will help to allow you to have multiple play styles as well. I know they did mention at the very least decreased cost of respec

Druids are the new WF'ers so Rogues can use Poisons, since it's an aura not an on-hit and it allows shamans to use other totems so it's a win win
This will still put Horde even further behind than Alliance in PvE. You need 8 Shamans with totems vs 1 Paladin buffing Salvation

For the first time in my life I'm actually considering playing Alliance after seeing those pally changes. Ret is going to be a menace in pvp. Fuck why does pally have to be ally only.
In my head I feel that they could make a surprise and when we connect Pali would be available on an horde class and chaman on a Alliance class.
Otherwise, I see definitely paly shine in pve but in pvp against mage / hunter even rogue maybe they have 0 mobility to close the gap. I don't think they will be as op as fuck as Mages or Warlocks

I think what MANY of us want to know is WILL THEY HAVE FIXED MANA for most classes? I love Shamans but they're downright useless in classic due to crap mana cost scaling. Are they confirming any changes to the classes outside rune-based stuff?
I'm a bit worried for resource management as well. Imagine if the armor doesn't get upgraded much in terms of stats, yet we get so many more abilities. It could become a 1-shot festivity in PvP, and an oom fest in PvE.
One of my biggest worries with SoD is losing class identity. I hope the team can keep that

Classic is not perfect. I want changes in classic. A lot of QoL and classes changes can make it much better then Vanilla.

@@Niterayde That won't ever happen. Buffs are group wide and there are widely different strengths and weaknesses. And thats a good thing. The ultimate concept of "bring the player not the class" means that EVERY class is copy paste but different colors. You wouldn't want that

I’m confused by classic plus. Is this only in vanilla? Not bc or wotlk? In the sense, if I want to do paladin and do classic plus, should I never upgrade them to bc or wotlk so I can stay in classic plus? Is there bc and wotlk plus or this is all specifically vanilla?
It is an isolated game mode parallel to other iterations of classic. You won't transfer your chars to tbc or any other expansion and there is no such thing planned for anything but vanilla.
Shaman's tanking is finally here, they were actually meant to be tanks during the alpha phase of WoW. But not sure why it never worked out - would have been nice if they could tank with a two hander like Blood deathknight do.
I just want to know how early we can start tanking with rogues, warlocks, shammies, etc. Will it be right away, or only for the dedicated few who get a rare combo around level 40?
I think it's possible pre level 25, as long as you have discovered the right runes with which to do it.
What rare combo? Warlocks need Meta rune and Shamans theoretically dont need anything, they are able to tank in classic anyawys

When you explain the rogue talent just a flesh wound you have your information wrong, you say blade flurry is remade wich is not the case, blade dance is an added spell that synergize with just a flesh wound to tank from the leg rune slot.
doubled checked the datamining there is no information about remaking blade flurry

Personally I think not giving Horde Paladins (Blood Elves) and giving Druids, shaman specific traits will create a bigger faction imbalance in favor of alliance.
Clearly they should give druids paladin specific traits as well to balance things out
A lot of streamers have already said they're rolling Horde(at least for NA), so I doubt it since a ton of people just follow their favorites.
@@Shiftlinkage101 Not sure what streams you are watching that say they are going Horde but from all the big ones I watched they are are Alliance. If the streamers you are talking about have small followings then that won't matter as they have little influence.

All these new abilities with their aoe and dots sound like hell if you actually need to cc some mobs, for example in raids. Everyone can be that multi-shot hunter now? But I guess the content will now be so easy that it does not matter? Would be a big downer.
Do we know if flanking strike will still go off if you run lone wolf? I feel it will, just wonder if lone wolf will make up for the missed dmg
We can only guess at the moment, but I think lone wolf is best paired with ranged abilities from the looks of it. In a raiding scenario I think you have two choices to make. Either use your runes and talents in a way to make your pet survive, or except it to die anyway and just use lone wolf. If u you play melee hunter at lvl 25, i think you are better of taking the master marksman rune instead of lone wolf. When you pick a certain rune, you dont want to take away value from others.
