i always loved the idea that while bowser may be "evil", without mario & luigi being around to save the world (mainly because they can't find them since they are in bowser's body) bowser is indeed the last line of defense against a greater world ending evil, and this song really captures that, an unexpected saviour
I feel like it is way more deep than just bowser being the hero because otherwise the kingdom would be doomed, it's the fact that Mario and Luigi are TEAMING UP with bowser (with him not even realizing it which is always funny AF) to fight against a greater evil, one that could've taken the upper hand and consume it all if neither of them were careful enough. So in a sense i feel like this song really captures that scenario of opposite sides working as one to save the world
You’d think after hearing this song so many times, I’d stop getting chills, but being blasted with that signature opening in its remastered glory still does it for me. The mixing and instrumentation on this one is especially great this time around, incredible work Zame!

Whoa! This came completely out of left field! Not that I’m complaining, haha! It’s one of the greatest final boss themes, and this remix really does it justice!
They were in red numbers already, as far as i know, they didn't start anything for the Switch because of the lack of funds, thats why they made BIS Remake, they already had the assets and everything
I genuinely would say this is the better final boss in the entire Mario and Luigi series, just cause of how it's handled, the difficulty spike is balanced unlike in Mario and luigi superstar saga, isn't too long like Elder princess shroom, and just overall how they have this fight set up, both browsers clashing against one another as the two powerhouses, while Mario and luigi from the inside deal with Fawful for the final time after their last encounter in Superstar saga. Just a chef's kiss man.

This game was my first ever RPG, I went in completely blind and it remains my favorite Mario game ever, and honestly one of the best game experiences I’ve had, and the final boss was the biggest “OH THIS IS SICK” moment for little me ever, and after doing it I listened to the original track almost unhealthily, and dear God I’m gonna do the same for this remix, absolutely SPECTACULAR work, hits in all the right feels.
I've always loved that this song sounds simultaneously desperate, like Bowser and the Bros could lose at any moment and the fate of the world hangs in the balance, and yet it also sounds hopeful and triumphant, because of course the Mario Bros. wouldn't let the world fall to the Dark Star, and Bowser would sooner let Mario and Luigi clobber him six ways from his castle before letting the world he wants to conquer fall to some punk-ass abomination that copied him.
this feels like an ultimate final phase with all the bosses just somehow got together after the main threat just kill them. i literally imagine a boss that goes titan mode after his semi-final phase. maze multiple bosses at once and some slow time mechanic just to be nice sinse this will be a pore of moves. making the music *even though you fail, even if your powers abandoned you, even if your 1v1000, you will still win sinse YOUR IN THE END OF YOUR STORY, finish it, and your free*
Man, this theme is really up there with something like Hopes and Dreams. Both sound like the last climb on the hill of a great journey faced with many hardships, and a commencing battle far greater than any foe before. If you thought of some song to introduce the beginning of the end it is guaranteed to fall behind H&D's and ITF They're purely amazing.

Words struggle to contain the sheer scale of combat that is unravelling in the midst of this melody. One last fight for the universe even feels like it struggles to be worthy of this track. What hell must take place for this to be fitting, a battle of the greatest? I can only imagine.
This is what i imagine would play in a boss fight between two people who used to be best friends who are now forced to do battle because of unforseen circumstances.

I 33 now one month for became a 34 year old man. Much years back, well I take and play my original copy of M&LBIS, I felt the impacte of the final battle, and this theme tagged me a lot. I still listen again and again during all theses years until today and still one my favorites last battles themes and one the best final battle I played in my entire life. Good work here.
