- 5 things that will help you trade like a professional trader. Professional traders look at different things as compared to the typical retail trader and what retail trading educators teach you.
If you want to learn how to become a profitable trader and minimize your stress, then you'll need to know how professional traders trade. Becoming a consistently profitable forex trader or stocks trader is not just about making a lot of trades and getting high win rates. That is retail trader thinking. Not a professional trader mindset.
As somebody who comes from a finance background, I'll share with you what helped me become a profitable trader. I trade less but make more consistent trades. That is what you want to achieve. Making the forex market or stock market work hard for you.

This was actually insightful. I have been trading profitably for some time and completely agree with everything Karen is saying. She truly knows what she’s doing. Trading is not a math problem. You need market sentiment and political awareness because trading is human reaction to world economic events.

2 - Focus on the macro big picture (Fundamental - not just look at chart.)
3 - scalp if you're experienced - switch to longer timeframe chart

Thank you Karen, Risk Management is very important and like you I learnt the hard way. I think Risk Management goes in hand with your Emotional and Psychological Discipline and Management. This is also affects lot size decisions.

This video is randomly suggested to me and as a day trader I aggressively agree with the points.
I am lucky to start of by learning from the right mentor that taught me all those things.
But of course, I still make the same mistakes like any other new traders make.
The only difference is that I know why and get reminded.
For other new traders that doesn't get the proper knowledge or guidance when starting, worst case is they will keep on repeating the same mistakes until they quit trading.

As am FTMO trader, I agree that risk management is key, but fundamentals are for swing trading and for overall monthly targets.
On the intraday technical analysis suits me best.
I’m not blindly going-to take a long position on EURUSD just because the us dll is devaluing due to current monetary policy, if the technical indicates sell than so be it.
Experience is the best teacher, you are doing good!!

It's a long process of plotting every important economic indicator onto a document like excel sheet or notebook and then you've gotta determine whether the overall numbers give you a buy or sell signal. Then add that with sentiment and price action.
