- How to become a profitable trader and win at trading? There are lots of trading lessons that i'd like to share with you after trading for more than 10 years. Trading lessons i've learned from stocks, forex and gold trading.
I've been a scalper and then a day trader and then finally to a long term trader. I've tried many trading strategies and made a lot of mistakes before i was able to learn these trading lessons the hard way.
I hope that you'll take these trading lessons and learn it the easy way rather than the hard way so that you can win the game of trading faster and more efficiently without losing a lot of money.

Karen represented her university in a trading competition and managed to rank #1 in a Singapore nationwide Forex trading competition, competing with over 200 traders from NUS, NTU, SIM, SMU & the 5 polytechnics based in Singapore. She was also ranked 10th in a contest organized by FX Street, competing with over 3000 traders from over 20 countries. She was also ranked top 3 in other Asian trading contests.
She is the author of “Fundamentals of Currency Trading”.
Her wide range of experience has also led her to co-author a book, “Turning Ideas into Profit” with 10 other experts and professional speakers. Karen is also a contributing author of an investment book titled “Your Cash Moves”, where all the proceeds are donated to the Singapore Children’s Cancer Foundation.

Not to spend 7+ hours a day on the charts
The lesson I have learned in a hard way is that I don't have to have all Forex pairs on my platform.
This year I decided to only have 12Forex. Majors and five others.
just for summary
#1 Make Sure that you're emotionally stable before you make a trade
#2 Staring the chart all day is counter-productive
#3 Being a defensive trader is better than being aggressive
#4 Opening less trades will make you more profitable!
#5 Don't buy market just because you're scared of missing out
#6 Overconfidence Kill more accounts than fear
#7 Discipline is EVERYTHING!

One thing I Iearned the hard way: DON'T trade the same pair TOO SOON after a losing trade to "make up" the loss; even if it doesn't feel like a revenge trade, the emotions ARE running high whether it's FOMO, anger or "wow it's going the other way after all!".....all of these cloud your judgement and get in the way of learning from the losing trade.

So I set a rules in trading that every week my goal profit is 2% while risking 1% the question is.
I have 2 active trade and i target the TP to 1:2 which is 2% when TP hit each of trade and now even its not yet TP hit the running profit both combined is total of 2%. Do I close the trade because I already achieved my target percentage per week as well considering that today is friday and next day is weekend?? Hoping for your answer thank you!
